I have had delivery from here in the past. Always 4 or 5 star. Today, it is not the case. I could understand being late. Things happen. Didn’t bother us. I ordered seafood combination. I have had seafood here before. This time, the seafood was overcooked. Except the smaller shrimp, the seafood was rubbery. The larger red shrimp was very rubbery. I bit a piece of it, chewed and chewed until I thought it was soft enough. I choked on it. I’m glad I was not alone. The calamari was also rubbery. I didn’t try eating it.

A wonderful neighborhood restaurant with excellent sushi as well as delicious Chinese, Thai, and Japanese dishes. The sushi quality is outstanding and the owner, Henry, makes sure it stays that way. He and his wife, Cindy, are super friendly, always going the extra mile to say a nice word and to give extra attention to our son. It's a "Cheers" type of place that you'll want to come back to time and again. Truly a gem!!

Neighbors in a Facebook group have been talking about Gourmet Asian Bistro. I had to stop off at UPS and figured might as well try since it's next door. Took about 10 minutes for carryout.
Godzilla roll cause Kayla at UPS said it was her favorite. It's good. It is all cooked though. I swapped spicy mayo for the eel sauce. Will try something else next time.
Crab Rangoon cause I'm a sucker for it when I see it on the menu. I think it's cause my parents never had it when they owned Tung Bor or Good Fortune. This one is OK. I could do without the bell peppers inside. But they

Excellent food! I’ve gotten orange chicken and hot and sour soup here twice and it’s been very good, and my wife got their fake sesame chicken, and I have to say…this is the first time I’ve actually liked the fake chicken better than the real stuff. Idk what they put in it, but it’s incredible! Only complaint is the wait time can be pretty crazy here, I think ya’ll should adjust the wait times listed on your website by 15 or so minutes

Staff was very very busy. I ordered Christmas dinner to go. In person. 2 egg roll 2 spring roll. Wonton soup. Chesapeake sushi roll. Another sushi roll. And happy family dinner. And fryed rice. They were very busy. They Said 45 mins wait for food.

This place is a hidden gem. I always get their sushi when I go, and it is fantastic. Plus it is very convenient because I live like a 5 minutes drive from it. The parking lot in the shopping center is always extremely hectic. That's really the only negative thing I can say about it, and it's not even they fault. It's just the nature of being in a shipping center. Anyway, to reiterate, this place is fantastic. If I were able to give it 6 stars, I certainly would.

I order delivery and it came very fast (30min). The regular order sushi 1 is very fresh and good (a lot!) . Miso soup is tasty (typical), Salad looks nice basic & fresh lettuce. Chinese pork dumplings good but wrapper a bit thick. Like homemade. Delicious I’m sure if I ate them at restaurant. (Remember I ordered delivery). The vegetable tempura is the same. Very bad experience tonight, will not order here again. Ordered delivery through Beyond Menu, it took over an hour and a half for small sushi order, one order of dumplings and one order of Lo Mein.
Dumplings were old, dry and cold. Lo Mein was chopped up very weird and chewy.
Sushi was okay. We thought we would try here again but same old bad food.

After finding the food at Gourmet Asian Bistro to be just okay, not sure why we decided to visit again but we did. I remember the sushi being best food we ordered, so I thought I'd be okay. Wrong.
Ordered a salmon/avocado roll and Philly roll, as well as a salmon skin hand roll. The rolls were tiny, cut unevenly, and not rolled tightly. Fish was fresh thankfully. Hand roll was a bust. Lots of 'OK' dishes. The portions of fried rice was good, they give a lot but the rice itself wasn't that flavorful. Add a little bit of soy sauce and some spice and you're good to go. Mongolian beef was OK. Salmon roll was fresh, eel and cucumber roll was 90% cucumbers, the godzilla was good, volcano roll was OK but a little on the salty side. Probably wouldn't return unless we're very close by.

First time I ordered MaPo Tofu, the fish by which I judge Chinese restaurants. Maybe that's unfair, since this restaurant purports to do multiple styles of Asian cooking.
Gave them a second, third and fourth try ... the food was SUPERB each time. Either they got a new Chinese chef, or the old Chef LEARNED how to properly make MaPo! Almost as good as Joe's Noodle House in Rockville (the BEST MaPo anywhere).

5 Star all Around!! Gourmet Asian Bistro has the friendliest staff I've even seen. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and confortable, it's really a team of great people who care about their business and more importantly their patrons. And the food is right on par with the service. The sushi is always FRESH and tasty. I will admit I am a bit picky when it come to sushi but this place has never disappointed. They have such a wide selection of food and it's all 5 Star. Great prices I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!! I alway have the best experience here

If i could choose zero stars i would. We ordered delivery and was told it should be an hour. After an hour and 15 we called, we're told it was on the way. 30 min later we call again to cancel and are told it's still on the way. They cancel our order and deliver the food anyways. We grab the food outside and are called back asking to put the food BACK OUTSIDE for the driver to pick up. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT and customer service. We will never order from here again.

Honestly I've been searching for a place like this, they're Kung pao is the best I've had, after trying multiple Chinese restaurants I've found my favorite. Sushi is also the best with very fresh fish and amazing eel I just love the diversity with this place! As a place like this I come once a month for they're Amazing rolls like the Maryland as well as the eel avocado roll I love this place and will be returning!

Recently moved into the area and wanted to find my go to takeout spot! Unfortunately this won't be it for Chinese food. Online ordering was very easy and so was the pickup process. The peppers and onions in my dish were cooked pretty well. The beef, however, was very chewy, the sauce watery, and lacked flavor. I'll give this place a try again (maybe) when we can dine-in.

I love this place. They’ve been one of my go-to take out places during the pandemic. Their menu is huge! Pretty much everything that I’ve had has been great and their staff is always nice despite how busy they can get.
Their hibachi is better than most in area, definitely try it. I recommend the salt & pepper shrimp, ramen, sushi, or any of the meatless options as well.

Food was mediocre at best. Tasteless. The chicken corn soup had minuscule chicken and corn. The Szechuan chicken tasted burnt. The spring rolls were unimpressive. We tried the restaurant a few years ago and were unimpressed but wanted to give it a second chance. Waste of time. We won't be returning. I am sad to write this because it is a neighborhood restaurant and I want it to succeed.

The food here is amazing and they have substituted vegetarian "meat" for The vegetarians. Are usually get the vegetarian lettuce wraps, always really good and fresh. Then I get the Szechuan meatless chicken spicy for my meal. The Malaysian samosas are so darn good too! They're nice and the ambiance (non-covid) was wonderful.

They have absolutely the best vegetarian meatless options I've ever seen. They are delicious and very hearty portions. I can get 2-3 meals out of one dish. It is always warm and they are the nicest people! The meatless sesame option is my favorite, I have had the orange chicken option too. My mom and brother love the actual orange chicken (meat).

It's very disappointing to see this local establishment start to deteriorate. We've dined-in in the past and have had no complaints. Recently, however, the food hasn't been its best. A month or so ago, we ordered a mix of Chinese and Thai food for delivery. The Thai food was great. The Chinese food, however, had a tinge of Thai after-taste. I was excited at how delicious and fresh everything was....my 2.5 year old enjoyed the miso soup (we requested extra tofu) & the fried crispy wonton noodles. The salad was fresh/crisp with dressing that was very bright and flavorful. The soup, salad, and fried noodles were all complimentary with the lunch special.
