I was so nervous going into a salon because of past experiences but this salon really listened and took their time with me to understand and give me exactly what I was looking for. Karen, the stylist who worked with me, was very interactive, kind and gave me beautiful results on my color and cut!

I should be giving this place 0 stars but that's not an option. From the moment I walked in today I was not impressed. Staff was completely unprofessional; continuously answering personal phone calls while with clients. Super disappointed in the way my hair color turned out. I showed stylist Carly a picture of what I wanted my hair color to look like and it looks nothing like the picture. What should've been a beautiful ash brown to ash blonde ombré is now chunky brassy highlights all over my head. Can't believe I payed almost $200 for this disaster. It's Christmas Eve and

I went for Carly at Jata's and I absolutely loved it! My hair was in such bad condition! I hadn't gotten a hair cut in months, and my dead ends were ridiculous! She fixed it right up and I just left with the healthiest and best cut I have had in a really long time! I defiantly will be going back and I am going to tell all my friends about it and defiantly think every college student, adults and anyone in between should go there!

Extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment they "forgot to put on the books" for me and my mother. We planned our day around our fun trip to the hair salon before I leave for San Diego tomorrow. Instead of bumping whoever else they scheduled for our time slots.... they bumped US. Not at all professional... We will NOT make that mistake again. Completely disappointed.

After my first visit, I have never returned to the the national chain hair salons. Two years ago, I needed to set up an appointment to get my nails and my hair done for my friends' wedding. The staff was able to schedule me in quickly with appointments that were convenient for my schedule. Amy has been my hair stylist. After every appointment, I have always received compliments on how great my hair looks.

I recently discovered Jata's, mostly because it's in the same strip as Trader Joe's (food Mecca). Imagine my surprise when I walked in and they took me almost immediately. Then, while Ashley cut my hair, Megan came over to say hi! Megan owned my fave Indy salon in the early 2000s. She's my stylist now, again. She's excellent. The energy and music are great, the front desk is responsive, and I can call on a Sunday evening to leave a message asking for a call back and an appointment. My only problem has been with some uneveness in back and on the sides. Highly recommended

I have been going to Jenn at Jata's for several years now. In the past year, I've also converted my hubby and his 16-year-old daughter over to Jenn.
I have what is almost Asian hair: thick and straight but with enough bend that it just naturally begins to form a "bob" once it grows past my chin...and I have lots of it! Jenn is the only person I have found who can cut my hair the way I like it no matter what the length-of-the-moment is for me. I think she is a genius when it comes to short do's - I ALWAYS get tons of compliments when she gives me one of her super-short
