Services
Stratford School was founded in 1999 by Sherry Adams and Joe Wagner when it opened its first campus in Danville, CA, with only four classrooms and a small, dedicated team of educators. Word spread quickly, and the school was soon full. The following year, Stratford added a second campus in Sunnyvale, CA, which also filled quickly.
Our advanced STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) curriculum is a sequenced and balanced approach to learning that prepares students to excel. In nationwide standardized ERB testing, Stratford students outperform the independent school average by a widening margin as the grade level increases.
PowerSchool Parent Portal provides access to real-time information, including attendance, term grades and assessment scores, school bulletins, and personal messages from teachers. MyStratford is our legacy student information system. The MyStratford Parent Portal remains active for parents to access through the 2020-21 school year.

I feel the teachers genuinely take care of the children. Our daughter had two amazing teachers (Miss Jeannie & Miss Vicky) in preschool followed by two outstanding teachers (Miss Brenda & Miss Susan) in pre-k. On the top of it, the principal, Miss Swathi is always there to answer all the questions. She greets everyone in the morning and is at the door when we go to pick up our daughter in the afternoon. She has a great memory and remembers everything going on with the children. The suggestions from the teachers have helped improving the shyness and communication skills of our daughter.

I would highly recommend this campus and the whole Stratford school system. The teachers here are so caring and kind. They understand, not only, the students needs, but also realize that it's a journey for the parents as well. The principal, Mrs. Swathi is outstanding. She's always at the front, ready to greet every student on a name by name basis. It's as if she spends hours studying everyone before the school season starts. Their check in system in safe and secure. The covid precautions are outstanding (masks indoor and outdoor). The school does a fabulous job weaving in feelings

Our experience with Stratford Winchester campus has been nothing less than excellent. I like the small school feel. The school campus is very clean and the classrooms are well organized. Every staff member is super nice, caring and friendly. My daughter has been a student at this campus since Pre-K. All her teachers till today have been great and have formed a close bond with her. I like the fact that they also cover specialty classes - music, PE and Spanish. As a parent, I have learned so much from my daughter's teachers. Even the extended care teachers are wonderful.

My son started going to preschool at Stratford Winchester Campus last year during the pandemic. The school has been really well prepared to handle whatever restrictions the pandemic bought. Ms Pam Ms Swathi and Ms Jodi have been very helpful with everything.
We chose this campus especially because of the teachers and the small school feel with all teachers knowing all kids, making it feel like a family.
My son was in Ms Jeannie and Ms Vicki's Preschool class. He loved them. They were so nurturing, so patient and so loving. Maintained a perfect balance of fun and discipline. We were fortunate

I would highly recommend Stratford School Winchester campus. My daughter has been there for two years since preschool. At preschool, she was in Ms. Jeanie's class, who is super caring and friendly. She also took Ms. Minu's online classes for pre-K. I would say that Ms Minu is very responsible and responsive. She keeps us updated about our daughter's development and learning progress. We feel so fortunate to have her as our daughter's teacher. The most important thing is that my daughter loves going to school and she always shares with us her experiences with teachers and friends

My son used to go to Stratford in preschool & I must say that it was one of the best time of his life. All the credit goes to his class teacher Ms.Radha for being such a loving, caring person and making the learning process so fulfilled.

We love Stratford school! We enrolled our son And daughter there, our kids are happy going to school everyday! The teachers are super nice, caring, loving and friendly! Mrs Weiss, Ms.Z, Ms Jeanie, Ms Vicky, Ms Virginia, and coach W are our amazing teachers! Our daughter is four years old, due to Covid 19, we didn't let her go to school until two weeks ago. We were so surprised that she didn't even cry at all and she made friends with everyone! Everyday she came home and pretending she was the teachers and teaching us what she learned from school. 2020 was a tough year for all of us especially for the kids. For safety concern, I chose the online pre-K class for my son. At first, I wasn't sure how much he could learn from an online class. However, within a month, my son had a great improvement both socially and academically.
The pre-K online teaching team (Miss Minu, Miss Virginia, Miss Rani, Miss Edith) is great, especially the main teacher Miss Minu. She is a great teacher with a lot of experience. She knows how to make the class interesting and keep the kids focused on the topic. I like how she sets up the classroom rules

My daughter is taking her online class with Stratford Winchester school. She is 4 years old. In the beginning, I was worried that she is too young to do the online class by her own. But except the first week, I spent some time with her in her class. Then the following Monday, Ms. Minu had teacher/parents meeting. She told her that "you are big enough, you can do the class all by your own". Then magically, she just went to do the online class all by her own. I feel so thankful for Ms. Minu's encourage so that she can do the class then I can do my work.

It's my daughter's second year with Stratford, this year with COVID-19 everything becomes extremely difficult for a 4-year old to do distance learning. However, we're so lucky to have so many great teachers helping us go through this, like science teacher Ms. Rani, music teacher Ms. Virginia and especially our main class teacher Minu Pradhan. Ms. Minu is a very hard working teacher, she is always well prepared, keep us updated weekly with upcoming assignments, activities and what to prepare for next week in a very detailed email. We have been a part of the Stratford Winchester community for over 4 years. My son started here when he was 3 years old in pre-school. We picked the school because of the teachers and year over year are constantly impressed. We met Ms Jeannie during an open house and fell in love with the preschool class. Two years later, my daughter joined and we have come to love all the staff as family. We've had Ms Brenda, Ms Minu, and Ms Sujata as pre-school teachers who were fabulous. Mrs. A is a highly sought after kindergarten teacher and Mrs. Beaumont as the wonderful first grade teacher are exemplary

If I could this place 10 stars, I would! The teachers and staff are so competent as well as considerate. My daughter has been going here for the past year and a half, and it's been a great experience for her and all of us!
She started out in pre-school in Ms.Swathi N's class, who was wonderful. She then did summer camp in 2019 with Ms.Soliz and Ms.Jeannie who are both extremely good and loving teachers.

I can't express enough what an incredible experience this has been for us as a family during our first year at Stratford. We feel that we should point out some of the amazing experiences that we've had in terms of the growth we've seen from our daughter. She has become more forthright in her abilities to speak up for herself, participate in class and socialize with others...not to mention her new ability to focus on directions and complete her schoolwork. The education provided in the classroom along with the exposure to children and peers of her age has been an excellent opportunity

Another year another update :).
As I said in my last review, we (My wife and me) never believed in "good schools" with shiny brand names. Rather, we always had been a staunch believer in "good teachers". We followed the same "teachers,-not-brand" principal while deciding for Kindergarten year of my kid.
For that, we met with Mrs. Anderson before the start of the Kindergarten year. We found her highly qualified and passionate for teaching then and she never stopped showing her commitment to the kids throughout the year till today.
She is very responsive and exceptionally

My daughter is attending a school from last August, we have seen her learning new things every day in every subject whether it is English, maths, science ,Spanish or music and dance. A bit of everything is planned in the curriculum.
We love the school and teachers a lot and it's like a family for kids. Miss Swathi is her class teacher, she is so energetic and passionate. she is dedicated and bonds very well with everyone in her class. I don't care about playground size; I don't care about how many grades this campus has. I just care about my kid's feeling. She is happy everyday. She likes going to school. She learns a lot. She likes her teachers. Teachers remember every details of my daughter. They are very patient and experienced. That's all I want. We are so lucky to have found Stratford School (Santa Clara/Winchester)! The campus is beautiful, the curriculum is excellent, and most importantly, the staff loves to teach and they care so much for the students! This year, for Pre-K, our son is in Ms. Melinda's class... she is the BEST! He loves to run into the classroom every morning... there is always so much to learn and he has so much fun with every lesson. She has really grown him, both socially and educationally. Who his teacher was going to be was our key consideration and we are so happy to have Ms Swathi as his!! She is firm yet incredibly loving and nurturing and most importantly our son adores her!

I supplemented our part time school with this school when I was offered a new job in an effort to get in longer days at the office. Two days before I started my new job, during our welcome to school tour, registration threw a giant curve ball that was difficult to resolve. I knew on the military to crunchy granola spectrum, I am much closer to crunchy granola but the location was perfect so I gave it a shot.
When this school didn't work for our family, they did process our removal quickly and painlessly. Removing our daughter was actually much much easier than enrollment was.
