An abundance of experience and knowledge paired with an unparalleled level of customer care. In August of 2005, 2 men with over 30 years of combined experience founded J & R Auto Inc. These 2 men, Raul Joya and his son-in-law, Jose Martinez both exerted excitement and motivation to begin this new endeavor.
Our extensive training and years of experience allow us to effectively assist you on multiple areas. Though turn-around times vary from service to service, most jobs are completed the same day. We work with some of the largest parts suppliers in the nation; parts are typically available to us same-day.

Jose is very professional and friendly from assisting with calling for a tow to diagnostic checks and getting the car running again. Throughout the process, he would call in to check and report his findings to advise what recommended actions are needed. I have driven the car around for a few days now. It feels smoother than before.

I have been coming here for a few years now, since I was looking for a place to fix my transmission. They rebuilt it there,and it has been running great for the best price I could find! They have done all kinds of work for us after that on several different cars, and I'm always impressed by their knowledge, explaining everything clearly,and exceeding my expectations on the quality of the work for a very fair price. They make car repair as painless of an experience as they can, and Jose and his brother Angel are very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend them!

Excellent service! High quality work at affordable prices! I am new to the Elgin area and when my car constantly starting over heating this summer I wasn’t sure where to take it to have it looked at. Nor did I have any idea what the problem was. I started calling around to a few local shops. Most of them wanted cash up front to even look at! A friend of mine then recommended J & R Auto.
