Sprout Preschool
We are a small, play based preschool dedicated to diversity and social and emotional learning. We have a low student/teacher ratio (10-2) which allows us to bond with and nurture each child. Children learn best by moving their bodies, so we design our activities to be hands-on, self-directed, creative, physical and social.
Services
We believe children learn best through play. Our program is play-based with some teacher-led activities and a variety of open-ended materials that allow children to build, create, pretend, and use their own ideas. We believe learning is inherent in every activity. As children play, skilled facilitators help them develop language and skills to compliment their explorations.
We balance the day with a predictable schedule to promote confidence and security but with enough flexibility to meet individual needs. I love the teaching team at Sprout! I am constantly amazed by the attention and focus each teacher gives to each child, and the engaging, interesting activities that you all provide, while maintaining a calm environment in what I've heard best described as the "controlled chaos" of the classroom.
Please join our waiting list, and we will contact you to set up a tour. Because we are a small school, we schedule individual family tours when we have an opening. In general, kids move up in the fall, and we schedule tours in the spring. If you are considering Sprout for more than one child, please provide additional names and dates here.
The social environment at Sprout is a wonderful introduction for our daughter into her own community. Thalia has made leaps and bounds in her social skill development. She's learned how to communicate her emotions clearly and resolve conflicts with her peers like never before, which has extended into other areas in life at home.

The owner/manager of Sprout lacks a fundamental level of communication skills and forthrightness. Discipline at this school is non-existent and the children are wild during pick up time. Manager will smile in your face and then gossip behind your back. There are better options in the city.

My son LOVES Sprout preschool- I literally have to pull him away when it is time to go home. The space is big, clean, and full of stimulating toys and activities AND there is a very large backyard for running, jumping and playing on the less rainy days. My son comes home counting in Spanish, teaching me new songs, and telling me all about his friends and the good time they had doing art or playing outside. Teachers Anna, Eli, Rochelle, and owner Rebecca are wonderful with the kids and sensitive to any issues that arise. I am comfortable talking to them about my sons development or any issues that
