Awesome customer service! I think I found my new place to take my car. The staff is very knowledgeable and they provided pictures from my car of the parts that needed to be replaced! I feel like I'm getting the honest truth opposed to being misled. As always, John Chung, my service writer, went above and beyond to explain current repairs and recommended preventative maintenance.

John’s Automotive gave me a very incorrect analysis of what was wrong with my car. I asked them to find out why it wouldn’t smog, and got an analysis of everything that didn’t pertain to this car getting smogged. He also said I had a bad exhaust manifold and they quoted $1100 to fix it. The manifold is fine and it just required a couple of bolts to fix. The counter guy said that you really have to get your hands dirty to analyze the manifold, which is not at all true. He then said that the oil and water was low which may have been true being I just took it on a desert trip, over mountains

Performed a thorough inspection with pictures of a new, used vehicle that I just purchased then acted as an advocate for us in an attempt to get vehicle returned to dealership due to the amount of issues that the car had. They went above and beyond. Furthermore, the gentlemen in the front are very Covid conscious; I appreciate that. Will recommend and will return.

Easily the most professional, friendly, transparent auto shop I’ve ever encountered. I brought in a used Ford Ranger and explained that I needed them to give it a “once over” to make certain there were no major issues. He understood and then outlined everything they’d be looking for and what I should expect.

The entire staff at John’s Automotive were so helpful to us during our vacation down south. Our brakes had completely gone out and they were able to get us in and all fixed up in one day. They’ll address what I came in for, and if I may need service down the road, they just give me a heads up, which I appreciate, so that I can do the maintenance in my own time. I have been taking my car to the dealership for routine maintenance for the last 2 years but decided to support a local merchant in La Mesa for my routine oil and oil filter change this time around. I am so glad I did!
