Such a great little spot! My steamed clams were seasoned great, and my husband's slumgullion was amazing! Will definitely be back!

Luna Sea is one of our favorite restaurants for fish and chips, so much so that I've been avoiding
writing a review for years so I don't have to fight anyone else for a table. They have a large menu, and breakfasts are good, too. Expect to possibly wait for a table if it's a peak time, though their outside covered seating is great.

Luna Sea’s fish and chips… is the BEST at the coast. This was the second time we came, food quality was very consistent.
Fish and scallops were perfectly cooked. Thinly battered, super crispy and the fish was buttery tender and juicy. Simply perfect!!! Manhattan clam chowder was hearty with lots of clams.
If you are visiting the Central OR Coast, please give them a try. To us, it’s worth an hour drive. Yum!!

Best dungeness crab I have had in a while. Super fresh and not overcooked. I also had the fish and chips. The batter was thin, complimenting the fish rather than overpowering it.

Good food, would stop by again.

We ordered a slumgullion and a cod and chips to split between two people. Cod was nicely fried, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. The chips were either double fried or extra fried and very crispy throughout.

The slumgullion was a bit watery and there was no sign of a "baked cheese" layer but it was chock full of tasty bits of various seafood. Certainly better than canned chowder from the supermarket. Garlic bread was just underwhelming toast.

Oh, and as the other reviews say, make sure to not be forgotten by the wait

Definitely a hole in the wall place but we'll worth the stop. The BEST clam strips and steamer clams on the Oregon coast. The clam chowder is one of the best I've ever had. Staff is super friendly. The outdoor dining is pretty basic but worth it for the quality of the meal. I always make this a stop while traveling the Oregon coast.

WARNING
YOU see folk why you don’t want to eat here.
The lady waiting on us today told us the fish is fresh but if you look in their display case you will see old looking fish doesn’t look well.
She also told us if we order a mix of cod and halibut we would be charged for Halibut fish dinner which we agreed to no problem.
Then we get the bill.
As you see halibut on the menu is 19.75
They charged us $3.01 more.
Can’t trust these people.
I saw one worker caring out fish baskets staked on each other and not on a server’s tray.
Watch ur check if you still want to eat here.

Lovely little spot for fish and chips. You can get grilled or fried. Clams were a bit overcooked but there were many tender pieces. Clam chowder is average and leans more towards potato soup. Outside dining only I believe and they have great service.

I can only Imagine that all the San Francisco people come here to eat and think it’s worth it. The seafood plate is a joke! $21 for a plate of soggy chips! The salad was dry and for sure not fresh. The fish smells exactly for fish … How they get such ratings? Yeah, disappointed and leave it on you to try it.
Btw, I gave 3 stars for friendly staff and the nice location, not for any food.

We just shared steamed clams, clam chowder and fried cod and chips. It was so delicious and we were told the owner is a fisherman who still catches his fresh seafood! Rustic little shack with ample heated/ covered seating outside. Sadly they were out of their canned tuna to take with us. Maybe next time.

It's my husband's birthday and he's a sucker for fish and chips. We were out visiting the coast and this place was 15 minutes down the road. Finding parking was easy but I imagine it is super busy when the weekend goers are there. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We wanted to sit outdoors to enjoy what daylight was left and they had a nice fire going.
Kaylob was our server and he welcomed us right away. He was quick, attentive and very nice. The menu was simple and we didn't wait long for our food. 10 minutes at the most, they were quick! Food was steaming hot when it came

Traveling down the Washington and Oregon coast on vacation post-Covid turned out to be more problematic than expected. Restaurants closed, hours reduced due to the lack of employees and all the other supply chain issues.

This location came highly recommended as a no-frills seafood house.

We were disappointed overall by the attentiveness of the wait staff, portion size and watery drinks.

However we were on vacation and we still made the best of the water he drinks lol

Delicious! I never thought I’d find good fish tacos in Oregon, but Luna delivers. We also ordered the “Luna Sea Combo & Chips”. Halibut is such a delicate fish and easily overlooked, but they fried it just right. The salmon was grilled to perfection and the battered cod was divine. Excellent food and service! Very dog friendly too, if you choose the outdoor tables :)

Dog friendly. Some of the best fish tacos and new England clam chowder I've had. There is far more outdoor seating than you think from just driving by. We had a our two medium sized dogs with us and they had a tented area with plenty of space for us.

Came here in a whim at 4pm on a Friday not busy at all which was a huge perk! Loved the outdoor seating during covid times.

Ordered the steamer clams and the clam chowder bowl since we had had a heavy lunch from tillamook hours before.

The little food we had definitely did not disappoint and the clam broth was so delicious to just sip on its own with a light airy buttery seafood taste.

The chowder too was rich and what you'd expect in a good chowder!

The perfect snack food stop for us on our Oregon road trip! Highly recommend to anyone passing through!

Highly recommend sitting in

The tuna was extremely dry..... grilled to a substance that was hardy edible. Service was super slow, ofcourse partly due to limited wait staff.

Chaos! Front side doesn't talk to the backside and that other area. Several different groups that were forgotten while we were there. Some left, some stayed. Several were given a snack on the house for their wait. My fiancé and I????? Nothing but the bill in the end after we patiently waited , understanding times are tough, but come on? Treat everyone equally? We waited a lot longer than those others did.
Service when we got it was good at first, then she disappeared.
Food.
Clams? Tough
Fries? Nothing fantastic
Fish Tacos? Tolerable but the flavor was very odd. Would not order them again

OKAY 😍🔥 The place was poppin' but still only took about 20 minutes from sitting down to getting our food. Took about 5 minutes to finish it all because it was so good. My husband and I split an order of the fish tacos and an order of the mixed basket of fish&chips. It was salmon, halibut, and albacore. The salmon was amazing! We had never had salmon fish and chips. The fries were incredible as well. Overall, just happy as can be. Will be back!

We were recommended this place by a local. Don't even think, just go here for a delicious meal, you will not be disappointed. The restaurant had outdoor seating and was busy. The staff are very courteous and polite. Coming to the food we got the 1. Half Luna sea combo (5/5), I am not a fish guy but damn the fish at this place was excellent. It was fried perfectly, tender and soft. I got 6 pieces with 3 different types of fish. The fries were on the soft side (not crunchy). 2. The clam chowder bowl (5/5) creamy and hot soup. Tasted delicious. I would definitely go again for the fish.

My wife was craving clam chowder, so we stopped at Luna Sea to see what they had. This is a little hole-in-the-wall fish monger / seafood cafe, which seems like a good place to start if you want actual fresh seafood.

We ordered our lunch to go, as we had our dog with us; and we found a picnic table at the local public park. The gentleman who waited on us was very friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time.

My wife started in on her chowder first, and she said it was quite satisfying. Maybe not the best that she has had on the Oregon coast, but better than what you will find

We have eaten there two times on our anniversary trip. The tiger prawns are insanely good. The Halibut was so flaky and moist. We also grabbed a bowl of the clam chowder and it is a solid chowder. The staff was amazing especially the tattooed older guy. We would recommend this place to anyone.
By the way we walked up and placed our order and set it for 45 minutes later so we could walk across town and back before we eat. We picked it up and walked a block to the hotel and the food was pippin hot and crispy. That tells me that they made the food right before we got there to pick it up - that is
