Teresa is so wonderful! This was my first time getting my hair done at Zindagi (and in the Bay Area, for that matter!) And I am so glad I came across this studio. Teresa was nothing but kind, considerate, and was able to perfectly capture what I was hoping for...she may even have exceeded my expectations. She did an amazing and very natural-looking balayage that livened up my hair. Highly recommend it, and will be looking forward to returning in the future!!

Eric Webb is a Hair Maestro! You can think of him as a living breathing Hair Jedi Master (for those of you under 30). The stylist who'd been doing my hair since I moved into San Francisco relocated to San Antonio and I was stuck without a recommendation for someone who knew how to work with Black hair. Months later I was explaining the situation to my good friends Dax & Lindsey and they recommended Eric Webb. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, SF hair salons were closed all over.

Jordan cuts and colors my hair, and does a phenomenal job!!! I have curly hair, which can be tricky to cut correctly (I am VERY careful about who I trust my curly coif to, because some people don't understand how much hair curls up once it's dry!), and Jordan handles it expertly! She also understands the kind of color and highlights that I want, and I feel beautiful every time I leave the salon. She's friendly, fun to talk with, and always makes me feel at ease!

Wow. Had such a wonderful experience today getting my hair cut and styled after a year of home haircuts. Richie did such a wonderful job and offered me so many styling tricks to tame my thick hair. They graciously took me as basically a walk in and were so welcoming. Atmosphere is relaxed and fun. HIGHLY recommend!!!

I go blonde for summer and darker in the winter, which can be pretty hard on my hair. I love Jeremy. He helps me transform my hair to "natural looking Asian blonde", to 'multi-dimensional brunette" all without breaking my hair.
When you've been doing color for years, you have to go to someone who understands how much your hair can take and keep it looking healthy. He also takes a look at my bone structure and skin tone for the season and adjusts my color. He's the only stylist I trust that won't break my hair

Nice but not the best. The interior and the staffs are impressive. The lady at the reception is warm and welcoming. The service is prompt. They would not make you wait for long. They will always offer you some tea/ coffee/ wine. I had my appointment with Richie. He is always super busy. Knows his job well. I loved the hair color, however I think the hair cut was not the best one. But it was towards the end of the day. So probably I might would spare. I spent total 195$ (including 15% tip) on both the color and the haircut. Which is not too expensive if you compare the location as downtown SFO.

I had my hair done at Zindagi salon. I came in with my kinky, curly, and incredibly dry 4a/b hair. The crew at the salon looked like "oh my gosh" lol but they handled it like champs. Promptly greeted at the door and served tea when I sat down. They were very attentive. I had Kelly give me a Brazilian blowout and it's just now wearing off...5 months later. She dyed my hair and gave me a trim after. It wasn't cheap by far but the results are awesome. It's great to be able to do a blow dry and flat iron in about 30-40 mins compared to the 90 mins it used to take me. Thanks

Had an appointment set up a week or two in advanced. Received a message saying they can accommodate an appointment sooner. After a few messages back and forth, I was told that they would need to talk to the manager to get confirmation of when would work. After several follow ups from me and over a week now of complete radio silence from their end, I have given up. Do not waste your time with this place.

I received the worst haircut i have had in many years. It was at a discounted rate as a hair model, but still feel i should leave this review. I had agreed to a long layer cut, but the stylist decided to do a different cut, leaving me with bangs hanging in my face, just below my nose, not layered to go back and too short to go behind my ears even though i had told her i needed to be able to pull it back. So i have a long bowl cut in front that does not look right with the back. I feel used so she could practice a technique and will be needing to use bobby pins so I can see.

Jada was able to highlight my hair to a blonde I've never been able to achieve. I have thick curly hair with layers of old color.
My hair curl and integrity were not effected and I'm so THRILLED!
She is a Balayage queen but a master at brunettes trying to be blonde!
Bradley gave me a haircut thats been lasting for MONTHS.
My hair is so thick and gets mushroomy easily, I asked him to keep my length but remove weight and he did it with perfection.
He's also super fun to chat with!

Jordan! Such a great gal and a fun person to spend a couple of hours with coloring and cutting my hair. I don't have much patience and I look forward to seeing her every time.

I've been seeing Jada for my balayage for a while and she is a master! I always come away with hair that looks impeccably colored, dimensional yet natural and work appropriate. She's a great conversationalist too which makes the time in the hair fly by. I've since moved but fly back from NY just to see her.

Every single time he cuts and style my hair Im happy with the results!
Im getting so many compliments and people keep asking me where Im getting my hair done.

It was my first time going here. The salon was clean and the receptionist was sweet. Dimitrios gave me a fresh new cut that I absolutely love! He was very kind and professional and offered me beverages throughout the experience. He even recommended products that I've never used before to help create and maintain the look I'm going for. I had a great experience and recommend Dimitrios and the salon to everyone!

It's hard for a girl to find the right one, but every once in a while a girl meets the perfect hair stylist to cut her split ends away; chop it off; cut bangs; dye it purple on a whim; and make her laugh. For me, that stylist is Scott Brinkerhoff.
I'm devoted, so I relocated to Zindagi to follow Scott. He's been my dream (hair) guy for years and I wasn't going to let a salon change keep me from his talents. He listens to what I want and then delivers. I have course hair that isn't always easy to work with, but my hair is always cuter and healthier than it was before

I waited about a month to write this review to be able to evaluate how well the color held up. I found Zindagi through an awesome Groupon deal (keep an eye out for that). I believe it was something like $75 for $120 value. I called and was able to book an appointment for the following Friday.
