On Valentine's Day of 1998, Liquid Hair Studios opened its doors to great fanfare in the vibrant and historic South End.
After deciding to open their own salon, Camille and Cary made the bold move from Newbury Street to Tremont Street with the dream of fostering fresh young talent and offering great service to our community. A lot has changed since then, but Liquid remains the place for great stylists to work in a creative environment that offers high-quality at a fair price for the clients we love!

You don't make fun of someone's hair color choice as you're dyeing it, it's a bad way to behave as a professional and a stylist, especially if the person is within earshot. You're doing a job, and acting as though your client is a chore and not even having a neck pad for the washing sink (leaving me with uneven distribution and a sore spot in the back of my head) is baseline bad. It's not about whether or not you vibe with someone, it's about making everyone feel welcome and respected. I did not. Owner (who was kind) but my stylist, Robert, was unprofessional. Friendly, skilled, and well-priced! Alyson gave me a fabulous haircut that compliments my natural wavy texture and low maintenance hair routine. I was able to get an appointment booking just a few days in advance and there was a cute dog hanging out in the salon (big plus). Walked out feeling great!

Natalija executed a perfect short cut for me. I went in with a mess of a half grow out and despite feeling like I was being vague/indecisive about what I wanted to do today, I ended up with exactly what I was envisioning. Thank you so much!

I had my first visit at Liquid just a few weeks ago, and I'm so glad I made the decision to try them. I keep most of my hair buzzed short, and Alison listened to what I wanted while offering suggestions on how to style it to look nice and keep my bangs out of my face. The price was a bit more than I used to pay, but still reasonable, and the location is convenient from both my home and work. I will definitely be coming back!

I always have a great experience at Liquid. Roberts consistently does a great job, and I always feel so much better when I leave after an appointment with him; he’s the best stylist I’ve ever had work on my hair. Everyone on staff is so friendly and warm, and I always feel welcome. I can’t recommend them enough!

Allison is the world's greatest hair stylist. I've been a client for years who has purple hair that's healthy and gorgeous thanks to her expertise in the art of rock and roll hair without compromising on the health of your hair. I'm also a woman of color with curls to add to it. Love this place. And I especially love Allison. Thanks so much for making me and everyone who meets me smile for all these years.

LOVED my experience here. All of the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is so fun. I've been trying to find a great quality hair salon in Boston with reasonable prices and this is the winner! I'm really pleased with my haircut, and Natalija took the time to really understand what I wanted. They didn't try to sell me products like most salons do lately. I'll definitely be back
