I had followed Elizabeth from another salon years ago. I used to drive down from Prescott to get my hair done by her. I have since moved to multiple cities and have not been able to find a stylist like Elizabeth. I will be flying in from Boise, ID for my hair appointments with Elizabeth. Each balayage and cut has exceeded my expectations. She's also extremely FAST which makes the experience that much more enjoyable! Highly highly recommend!

Wow! Jeni did such a fabulous job on my hair! I always get a little hesitant when seeing a new hairstylist out of fear of them damaging my hair. Jeni did an absolutely amazing job with the color and not causing a ton of damage. Color looks exactly how I hoped and still feels amazing! I am so glad I got the recommendation to see her!

I had the best experience with Elizabeth and the team at Salon Four8Zero. Everyone was incredibly friendly, listened to what I wanted for my hair, I got the most amazing head massage during my wash, and I appreciated that those in closest contact with me were masked! I booked my follow up the day of my appointment because I was so happy with everything!

I can’t write enough good words to express how happy I am with this salon. It’s hip, clean, super amazing staff, but what makes it amazing is Katie, my hairdresser. I hope she never moves anywhere from here. She is so knowledgeable and honest about what she believes it looks good on you. Her technique is flawless, her coloring style is perfect. Every time I go there, I come out impressed and I feel beautiful. She’s an expert in balayage, highlighting, coloring, toning and haircuts. So happy I found you guys!

Brent is extremely professional. I got a lighter blonde than I wanted but that's my fault for not knowing exactly what tone I had before was and he was professional about it. He explained to me what exactly it is that I did want for next time. The vibe of the salon is perfect it was busy which I like, everyone was professional bouncing ideas off each other I highly recommend this salon.

Stevie Denson did an amazing job with my hair color and cut. Results were stunning and consistent with what I hoped for. She also was timely and the pricing was reasonable, especially for the area. I went in for the first time last week for a dry curly cut and Sterling was amazing. I hadn’t been somewhere that honored my curly hair the way this salon did. Rather than treating my hair like every other straight texture, Four8zero actually proved they know what they’re doing when it comes to my specific curl and texture and I LOVED it! Sterling listened and helped me with my exact needs and educated me along to way! She was super friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the crew there that day. Definitely going back for my curl care!!

Let me start this review by stating that I'm a self proclaimed hair salon Gypsy, never satisfied because I'm constantly chasing an impossible dream and holding accountable salons for the impossible task of giving me that feeling when I leave the chair like I had twenty years ago when I had thick, dark, shiny hair. It's not them it's me. I get that.
For starters the salon space is cool. Good lighting. Artist loft-like. I like the vibe and the cacophony of contemporary music and the din of salon chatter and equipment. It's part of the aesthetic and I dig the space.

Pros: Super hip atmosphere with a great environment (I.e. serving no sugar iced tea). Lots of hipster stylists and clientele.I think they do a super nice job if you are part of the target audience. In fact, my favorite part was the junior stylist that flat ironed my hair. I would go back just to see that person.

After a year and half of not dying my hair, I chose Salon Four8Zero based on their reviews and photos that showed consistently great work. I made an appointment to see Dayzha Mitchellto get back to blonde. She took her time, was so kind and patient with the fact that it's always awkward having someone new do your hair. Without knowing exactly what I wanted, she somehow picked the PERFECT shade of blonde and I could not have been happier. I continue to get compliments on not only being blonde, but on the shade and fantastic blending Dayzha did. I'm hoping I never have to go to anyone else

I've been going to Leah Hunt for the past few years to do my hair and she never disappoints. If you have an image on how you want your hair to look like, Leah will make it look like that, but better. She is extremely talented and is someone I will always trust when doing my hair! Thank you Leah!!
As far as Salon Four8Zero goes, it's such a fun and hip salon. Everyone is so friendly, they offer all types of drinks (including alcoholic beverages) and to make it even better, they have a black lab there who is the sweated pup. You won't be disappointed if you go!

I came to this salon after hefty research online and after a young lady in Wickenburg annihilated my hair! I NEEDED to find someone who knew what they were doing.
I found Melanie - a wonderful, professional and talented young lady who knows her hair and is a color expert!

Tip: If you're heading east on Shea, turn in right before Scottsdale Road. It's a lot easier to find that way.
Pamela was absolutely delightful and did an incredible job with my hair. Like most people, I hadn't done anything to my hair in ages because of Covid. I came in for a cut, full bayalage, and a Brazilian treatment. I walked out feeling like a million dollars.

MELANIE IS YOUR GIRL! I have been going to Melanie for years and I would never use anyone else. I drive very far for my appointments and it's well worth it because I leave feeling like a supermodel. Melanie transforms my hair each time. I am welcomed by some great conversations and feel very comfortable throughout the entire visit. The salon has great vibes and is also so CLEAN! 10/10 always recommend.

The wonderful Maggie colored my hair recently and I have never been happier with my hair. I unfortunately made the mistake of dying over my highlighted hair with brown dye and Maggie worked her magic and got me blonder than I had anticipated. I am completely blown away with the end result! It's so rare to find someone so talented and passionate about what they do. A bonus is she is the sweetest girl ever. I came to this salon specifically to see Maggie (@blondorexia) after following her on Instagram forever! I am naturally strawberry blonde and wanted to eventually go blonde overall.
