Deerwoods is a full service real estate and property management company located in central Denver, Colorado. Founded in January of 2003, Deerwoods began operations with 10 residential properties under management.
Over the past 16 years Deerwoods has grown to manage more than 100 residential properties; 65 multi-unit apartment buildings (exceeding 1200 units); as well as more than 150,000 sq ft of industrial warehouse space, retail centers and multi-tenant trucking terminals.Deerwoods was founded and is still owned by John Smidt (B.S. in Business, Colorado State University, 2000) and Bryan Piesczak (B.S. in Commerce DePaul University, 1990).

I forgot to mention my management associate Kearra Stratman. At first it was a little difficult and that she was so quiet. After after we joy and efforts to figure out what was wrong with the automatic withdrawal payments that reoccurred every month with the penalty of late and insufficient funds charge that we became a good team. Her on their side and me on her side:)

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY!! They knowingly rented me out an apartment that has bed bugs and months later they still have yet to properly treat them! On top of BED BUGS, you will get charged an obscene amount to live in a building littered with trash and beer bottles, just to find more trash covering the parking lot next to the throw up and foil left behind by the parking lot frequenters. Any complaint you may have will either be combatted by the staff at the office, or simply ignored.

This is the worst leasing agency these 5 star reviews all from the same week are obviously fake, which just proves how shiesty these people are. from my experience, no leasing agency is great, but this one is probably one of the worst in the city. don't even waste your time with any of their properties they won't do anything for you and will ignore you for weeks if you don't constantly harass them. don't even respond to my review, i don't need your worthless copy and paste response.

I cant remember their names but both a young gentleman and an older gentleman stopped in within the same week (minus the holiday weekend). But within the same week my dishwasher, Washer, blinds, and shower had given out. Both were fast and responsive after I filed a maintenance request a night or two before. Both were very communicative of what was wrong and what they were going to do to fix the problem. Everything is fixed and I’m due to get a new dishwasher and washer🙂 overall great maintenance service!

They had 1.5 stars then all these random 5 star reviews popped up in the last month. I’m sure some Deerwoods employees had to make fake google accounts to get that done or maybe just Geoff? I don’t see my original review so I’m coming back to give them the one (really should be zero) stars they deserve.

The least communicative and proactive management group I've resided with. I was hopeful that the service wouldn't dip after the owner hired this group to manage our building, but the bare minimal level of communication about construction, repairs, etc has not been met. Informing us after construction begins that construction will begin. Lights have been off on the back of the building because of construction issues and after I put in a request regarding not having internet for an entire weekend - and emailing our liaison - I have no received one email, call, or maintenance communication since.

I'm a current resident. I'm overall content with our apartment, it's great value considering the prices for apartments right now.
One big disappointment is that they weren't explicit about how you had to fill out the Move-In/Move-Out Inspection form within 72 hours of move-in. They slipped the form in your packet and I'm sure they were hoping we wouldn't notice it during the hecticness that is moving. That's what happened with us, unfortunately.
There are a lot of little things that are damaged in our apartment such a bubbles in paint by the stove and gaps in baseboards in corners, from low quality

I was skeptical about this place because of the bad reviews and also because it was nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone to view my future apartment. But - I have lived in my apartment for almost four months and I have to say, the property managers have been easy to work with and repairs have been completed in a timely manner. Plus - my place is fairly updated and the price is right. And my neighbors have all been pretty great as well. Whatever Deerwoods is doing at my property is working well - I am happy!
