Amazing work!! Al combines extreme knowledge with great attitude. Takes his time to explain you what has to be done in your car and he takes care of it as it is his. He is gaining your trust from the first minute! Took him only 3 days to fix the top of my Sl500 when other mechanics didn’t event how to fix it!! Hands down best place to take your car in Bay Area!!

I swear by Al. I've had numerous mechanics work on my car before him and from it, have learned how important it is to be able to TRUST and RELY on your mechanic. He's been my car's doctor for the past 2 yrs, and a wonderful one at that. Unfortunately, I've had to bring her in for one fix after another (basically to fix the shoddy work that previous mechanics had done on the car)... but each time she comes back better.

Great place and not only for Mercedes. He is very knowledgable in most areas, but especially electronics. I have brought both a BMW and a Honda into him and he fixed them both for a fraction of what other mechanics would have charged me. Today, I had the check engine and VSA lights come on in my Honda after needing to do an emergency brake on the freeway. I brought it to a mechanic near by work (where I was headed at the time). He told me I needed to get a new oil engine sensor and take it to Honda. Al told me the check engine light probably went on because of the hard brake forcing all the

I've had two MBs so far - 2001 SLK 320 and 2006 C230. Whenever I have issues or questions about my MB, this is the ONLY place that I always come to. This place wants to genuinely take care of your MB, not to rip you off like so many other repair shops would. If you just spend 5 minutes to talk to the owner/mechanic Al, you will know exactly what I mean. If you are looking for a reliable, competent and (most importantly for me at least) HONEST repair shop for your MB, this is the place you should come to.

Al Bernal...He's the BEST!! Not only is he an honest and amazing mechanic, as other reviewers mentioned, he and his entire family are the most genuine and gracious people you'd want to know. Al has been my mechanic since 1993!!! I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. When he retires...so does my SL (I've been through the dealership 'service' - if it's bent, they'll break it). With Al, your car will run like a dream, without costing a fortune. And that's 23 years talking!!

My grandmother left me her Mercedes - a 1983. It wasn't in the greatest shape. I brought it to Mercedes Connexion to see if I should bother trying to get it back to full running ability. Al, the owner, was professional and honest. (Hard to come by these days in the automobile world.) Anyway, he gave me a quote and a time frame and I accepted his offer. It was done under budget and early. Remarkable!!! Now my car looks brand new and runs as smooth as ice. Thanks Al, your a real pro!!

One of the great single-marque repair shops, which are sadly hard to find these days. Al is a real MB pro and can literally fix (and explain in plain english) all of what's going on with your car. Because I have an older Benz he has to come up with some pretty novel solutions to find NLA (no longer available) parts and has been a very great guy to work with. He knows his stuff, very trustworthy and sold work.

Al has been taking care of 4 of our families Mercedes for at least 20 years. He is not only honest but a car doctor. We wouldn't go anywhere else and agree with the last posting that all of our cars will have added value when selling them due to his superior service. Honest Al is what this shop should be called. He not only fixes Mercedes he has fixed my ford van, ford truck and even my Toyota Prius. I very rarely write reviews but I am doing this for my neighbor who does not use a computer. Sally took her toyota (newer model) to Al on my husbands recommendation. She has had numerous problems and Al took care of them all. She made a call to me to let me know that she was very appreciative for my recommendation. "Al is an extremely good technician. I don't know cars but, I know a great mechanic. My mother and I have been taking our babies (Mercedes Benz 430E, 300E, and etc.) to Al's shop for many years. Love the quick turnaround times, the never feel like I am getting ripped off experience, attention to detail, and customer service is always 5 stars. He has also helped us purchase many used outstanding M-Benz's. Like the recent purchase for our daughter who went off to college. Thanks to Al, he has created 3 generations of M-Benz's fans!

A good guy. Honest and up front. I have a 2001 C240 that needs quite a few little fixes to get it back in tip top shape. Al Bernal went over all of the problems I outlined, (as well as others he thought I should have done), and he gave me quotes on everything. His prices seem reasonable.
The work he did on my car that day was a "rear differential" fluid change. My car has been making a bit of a grinding noise. He opened up the differential case to find that my differential fluid was gummed up and old.

We rarely get any MBZ cars but every once in awhile the boss buys an old diesel to resell. These older diesel MBZ's are quite reliable vehicles ( i think they look ugly ) and seem to appeal to older engineer type of guys.
I used to take all of our vehicles to another mbz shop in Los Gatos but the lead mechanic started his own shop and that caused a decline in workmanship and speed.
Luckily i found that lead mechanic and his new shop!
Not only is Al ( the owner and mechanic ) a great technician; he is a big old nice teddy bear of a guy. He always greets me and my drivers with a big smile. Al
