A: Leases are available upon request. We sign leases on your behalf per the management agreement and store them in our online server Appfolio. A: Our disbursements occur on or around the 15th of the month and can also be direct deposited into your account. A: Our rent is collected and managed through our online property management software, Appfolio.
A: We are not able to hold a unit before receiving an application. The only way to reserve your spot in line for a unit is to have all applicants fill out an application. A: The security deposit is due 24 hours after signing the lease and pro-rated first month's rent is due before we hand off the keys at move in.

This company is not professional. They lack at follow up and follow through, and don't care about anything besides how they are going to get YOUR money. Portland is small, the word is getting around.
Don't trust all these reviews, seems that they have had their Virtual Asistance (from over seas) make these fake reviews to drowned out the 1 stars. Be very careful dealing with this company!

These are all mostly fake reviews. Do not trust this property company! This company only sees people as big cash bags. I lived at 242 SE Washington St apartment for a while and all the pictures are of how gross this building is. There were homeless people coming into the building and sleeping in the hallway and the company did not care. Their properties are disgusting and they do not care about people at all.

I was lookin at Uptown a few months back since they had a couple properties I was interested in. Can’t remember the name of the guy who was helping me but he was very nice. We ended up realizing the property I was applying for didn’t have any internet service… at all… none… it was very weird. So we tried to figure that out and we’re going back and forth trying to reach each other. When I’d call the help line and not the guy who was helping me directly, the girl wasn’t pleasant. She always seemed angry and frustrated. I did try to see about perhaps switching to one of the other properties

Have contacted the leasing office multiple times regarding breaking my lease- never once heard back. They failed to mention the constant construction that would take place during the entirety of my lease. They also advertised parking but mid lease they are now to be rented for a fee. They did, however, find time to call to gain entry for a building audit. What a sham.

Living in this community has been a positive experience. The entire staff, from the Property Manager to the maintenance crew, has been outstanding. My maintenance needs are provided the same day. The guys are kind, helpful, and professional. When I contact or visit the office, I am always welcomed by name and found the staff to be quite helpful with any of my needs. The property is always maintained tidy in general. I'm very comfortable having visitors come to my apartment.

Their service is great! I totally recommend it. They are very responsive to my concerns and queries. Glad i found this property management company. My family bought a house and lot in Uptown Properties. My younger siblings really enjoyed the place and amenities. They really do provide good service and made sure that everything falls into right places - from documents and other requirements to house turnover. Its definitely a smooth transaction. All the best!

Due to the situation, I suppose to be coordinating with Uptown Properties but failed because I need to transfer to FL. The good thing is, I was able to help and refer them to my sister who is looking for an apartment to stay in while I am away. They were able to assist her and I am very happy for that. Great people.

I was referred to Uptown Property Management by my trusted Realtor who heard about the property management company from a colleague as I was interested in listing my downtown Portland condo with them. It is nearly impossible to speak to a live person. The first call I made I left a voicemail message and never received a call back. The second time I called, after selecting a different option, I spoke with someone and was informed that someone would follow up and call me back. That never happened. I was going to call a third time, but if it is this difficult to speak for someone to follow up to list

Don't be fooled by the FAKE reviews! Look at their "5 star" reviews — nearly all from users in the Philippines with only one total review. What does that tell you about their integrity?
I wish Uptown Properties could just be reasonable, honest and provide a decent level of service to their property owners and renters.

Do not rent from these clowns! When we moved in, we were very surprised to see what poor condition the house was in - there were large gouges on the stairway wall, holes in the wall that hadn't been patched or painted, and the wood floor was scratched to hell. (We hadn't been able to tour the house beforehand, and had unfortunately rented it sight unseen.)
During our tenancy of less than a year, we had to call them to come fix things no less than 7 times because stuff kept breaking. To their credit, they did promptly sent maintenance people to come fix the issues each time. But seriously

This property management is pretty much useless. They unreasonably raise rent over and over again. Their maintenance team is terrible. Tried to get our bathroom sink fixed over three months ago and their guy just gave us tips to try and fix it....After telling them none of their tips worked they just started ignoring our issue. Just put in another request so hopefully they'll do something this time. Highly do NOT recommend!

I wish I could give negative stars. Currently, due to the service and extortion at move out, we are having to sue to get our deposit back. The company has lied and denied actual proof of the condition at move out. I was lucky enough to have journaled EVERYTHING at move in. close to 4k in damages that are completely fraudulent! Shown proof of the condition at move in, they have opted then to not respond. When they finally did get back to us they 'reviewed the charges to see what could be done' and actually INCREASED the charges with damages claimed that go against the very photos submitted to them

BEWARE!! Uptown Properties is downright unethical to both owners and renters. As a renter we were relocated and gave notice to terminate our lease - and offered to help find the next tenant. Uptown Properties automatically withdrew the full penalty allowable under Oregon law from our bank account through ACH and refused to refund us even temporarily while we agreed on move out terms. They refused to post the property to find a new tenant (a legal requirement called "mitigating damages"). We were shocked to wake up with $8000 proactively withdrawn from our account with no notice -- and

I recently had the displeasure of looking at a property that uptown properties represents. On their website it said "applications are not being accepted until 5/23/21 at 8am" I have it on my calendar to get up and have my applications ready to submit. I found out today that they have been accepting applications since the listing went up and there are now 7 in line. I was very interested in the property and now there is no way that I will get it. I will stay away from this company for my rental needs.

Disorganized. Taylor who controls one of their properties is about a reliable as a toddler at a circus. Not to mention I paid electric for the whole property until I brought it up that it was expensive. Taylor is unresponsive and late or just doesnt communicate (ghosting as we call it). also, they just genuinely don't seem to care if their tenants are miserable or not. I still don't have a key to the front door and he was supposed to be here 7 hours ago. Uptown is garbage, save yourself some time and move on from these losers.

I had a terrible experience renting with Uptown Properties. When my roommates and I moved into the house we were renting, it had not been cleaned, there were numerous safety hazards, broken windows, plumbing issues, and trash left over from the previous tenants. We asked AJ to address these issues and he was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful to us. AJ did NOT wear a mask into the house even though we were wearing them. We ended up moving out of the house and were not given back our security deposit as agreed even though we left the house in better condition than we found it in. I would highly

They were not very good at responding to us for the house we were trying to rent, but eventually they told us we could apply. We applied for the house only to find upon arrival that the space was full of violations. There was mold everywhere and the deck was extremely unsafe. A cleaning company came but said the mold was out of their hands. In no time, the property was listed again on Zillow. Are you trying to get people sick?

VIEW THEIR PROPERTIES BEFORE APPLYING! We called Uptown to verify the listing's amenities and pet policy. They said everything was in order so we applied, got approved, got sent the lease, and so we viewed the property the next day. It ended up being the wrong unit, the one advertised was next door. We were able to view the correct one but it did not have washer and dryer hookups like they told us over the phone. Luckily, we didn't sign the lease with the incorrect address and the staff we got ahold of in the office refunded our application fee (which is why I'm giving them 3 stars

I own a house which Uptown manages. Unfortunately I can not recommend using this company for property management services. Go elsewhere, rent your property faster, and save yourself the headaches (and money).
The details: They took several months to rent the house, which I believe was largely to blame on Uptown. They messed up on details, had bad online listings, poor communication, showed zero initiative or hustle to solve the problem.
