From the start of our planning process, Julie was incredible. She made us feel heard, gave great suggestions and was always just a call, text or email away when we had any last minute questions. On the day of our wedding, she did a fantastic job making the everything ran smoothly. We truly could not have made it through the day without her.

Julie Pryor was a phenomenal planner for my daughter's wedding! She connected emotionally immediately with my daughter, my husband and myself at 'the interview' and we hired her on the spot. Even though I plan and manage large projects for a living, my fiancé insisted ... and so I hired Julie to plan my wedding in Brentwood. She met with me to really get a feel for who I am and what we wanted to create, and then she "simply delivered". Working with Julie is effortless! She's positive and nice, egoless and gracious; she knows the "best of the best" as well as who will fit into your budget. I called to ask Julie if she was interested in helping plan a special event to bring happiness and laughter to homeless children. She hung the phone in my face, I guess that was a NO but if she wasn't interested in helping then she could have expressed that like any rational adult would do. I think it was rude and unethical to hang up and then block my call when I tried to call back to inquire if that was intentional. When I realized the call was blocked, that was all the confirmation I need.

This was the first time my daughter turning 4 had any input on a birthday party, so I wanted it to be good. She wanted Ariel on her cake, so naturally thanks to Interest we had an awesome Ariel party.Cassie was our Ariel, and did a FANTASTIC job with a group of about 10 preschool girls, including a couple 4th grade boys who were slightly skeptical.My daughter is still taking about Ariel.I have seen a princess from another company, and Cassie was much more professional and a much better singer! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW is all I can say about Julie Pryor and her over the top service and professionalism!!!! She planned our wedding at a private golf club in La Quinta, CA. There wasn't one thing she didn't think of or take care of for us. Everything was done in the most efficient way, although she was never nagging or over bearing when it came to getting things done or asking us for answers. My daughter's wedding in Ojai was everything I had hoped it would be....and that was in GREAT part due to Julie Pryor. In addition to being a wonderful person, she is an extraordinary event planner. Everything, down to the smallest detail, was taken care of for me. Any phone call or email was returned almost immediately (even when she was in another state). When my daughter decided she wanted a destination wedding, Julie immediately had a list of places that would fit--and arranged meetings with all of them. I simple cannot rave enough about Julie Pryor. I knew right away I had to hire her--when I left her a first vm message (at 8pm), she called me back 5 minutes later. This came to be a running joke--Julie never let 10 minutes go by without emailing or calling back (even at crazy times--we once had a lengthy email exchange at 11pm). Julie seems to live her job--but as a bride, you only see the perfect results, not the endless hard work that goes into them (at risk of using metaphor on Yelp--I am reminded of water ballet).

I work very long hours and I'm not from Los Angeles, so I knew I needed some help to plan my wedding in Santa Monica. My mom and I are both party planners to the core, so many people were surprised that we hired a wedding planner, but Julie Pryor served as an irreplaceable part of our team. She did all of the legwork and research, ran infinite errands, made endless phone calls, and reviewed all the contracts. My husband and I got married in October 2008 in LA and Julie was our wedding coordinator. We only had several months to plan the wedding from beginning to end and Julie was exceptional. Julie was our wedding planner for our Malibu wedding in May 2007. We actually started with a different wedding planner who did not work out for us and we hired Julie partway through our process. I wish we'd had Julie from the beginning. She was such a calming influence and had such great vendors. Her catering vendor is FANTASTIC. Everything turned out wonderfully and even a last minute glitch with the lighting was taken care of - Julie found someone to come in last minute and put in some lighting that was supposed to already be at the location.

My daughter, who lives in DC decided she really wanted her wedding to be in the L.A. area where she grew up; therefore, I was left the responsibility of planning a long distance wedding. I could NOT have done it without the expertise and professionalism of Julie Pryor...AND have SO MUCH FUN in the process! Thanks to Julie Pryor at Pryor Events, I had a beautiful wedding that guests still talk about. I had an Indian wedding, was very impressed at how she and the vendors she connected me with were able to adapt and make the occasion reflect my Indian and American roots----it made the wedding a unique and fun experience for guests. She helped me to hire highly professional businesses that were dependable and did an excellent job, and who I would not have been able to find on my own. Julie Pryor handled every aspect of my wedding, held in Laguna Beach in July of 2008. She was excellent - extremely organized and thorough, full of great ideas, creative, and has great vendor contacts. No task was too large or small and I was able to enjoy the big day without worrying about a thing. I would highly recommend Pryor Events to anyone going through the big task of planning a wedding.
