Sumela's was recommended by the person I was visiting in High Point.
I'd give Sumela 10 +stars if it were possible. The food served here IS Authentic AND Delicious❣ The server/waitress is knowledgeable about the menu, she is professional, friendly and made me feel like a regular patron even though it was my first time at this restaurant. She's consistent with the way she treats all of her customers. I had the opportunity to visit Sumela's twice and will make another trip up there before leaving North Carolina

The service is friendly & caring about thier customers. Just because one woman "Lisa" aka Karen gives it a 1 star and complains about everything doesn't mean it's a bad place. I've looked over her reviews and the only good review she's given is putt putt so I guess if it involves balls with holes she gives it a good rating.

Excellent meal! The owner is from Turkey and his nephew one of the waiters was very friendly and helpful and has just come over in the last few months from Turkey. Had a great conversation. The food was outstanding! Would highly recommend the Turkish meat pie as an appetizer, then the Mediterranean salad, the piyaz white beans are delicious, and the sultan platter to get a sampling of the lamb skewer Adana kebab and gyro with lots of yummy side dishes... Tabbouleh hummus mixed vegetables. We live about 45 minutes away, but it was worth the drive!

Been meaning to review this place for some time now. Have picked up food several times and have eaten in a couple times. Never had a bad item and service is always well done and my questions about some of the unfamiliar items are always answered knowledgeably. Their hummus is really well done and as good as I have had. Red Lentil soup is tasty as well. This place is a hidden gem right on Main St.
Update: everytime I eat here I am more impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Got the stuffed grape leaves and a healthy wrap with an upgraded side of pasta salad. Grape leaves were fantastic

The food tastes really good, but the portion sizes are small for the price. The lunch special is $8.75 (+$1.25 for lamb skewer) so I expected to get at least two skewers for that price. The customer service was good as well. The cashier was honest and gave me my money back for accidentally charging me for a fountain drink instead of a water.

We went there couple months ago. I loved the dining area outside. It was a late visit when they were about to close so not many people were there. Excellent customer service. The food tasted great and we had a great time eating it outside. The only thing I didn’t like was the amount of food. For the price it seemed like it wasn’t enough for one person and the platter you see in the picture was a combo grill so it was really little amount of food on there. Overall, ok experience.

My first time coming here and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was clean, the employees were incredibly friendly, and the service was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious and came out piping hot and fresh. I thought, for the quality of the food, the prices were great! I highly recommend the chicken kabobs! It comes with a generous helping of rice and vegetables with a tremendous flavor. Excellent people and service!
