I reserved a table for 25 ppl for my mothers 70th birthday party last night. I confirmed my reservation twice before we arrived. I told them it was a surprise party. When my mother and I arrived I found out from my Aunt that the table was not set up. I even tried to drive around to give them time to set up the table but I could not come up with any other excuses so we went ahead and went in. It was still a wonderful surprise for my mother to see family she has not seen in years!!! I didnt even get mad because I noticed that there were 2 other parties going on and the host said they were running

We have been long-time customers of Giovanni’s until last night. Few people dining, so we were seated immediately and brought water. We ordered an appetizer and waitress asked if we were ready to order our entrees. We received our appetizer and then began the wait. I asked the waitress for more bread, and we received a basked of several pieces of old, cold and tough bread. When I told her that it was cold, she said that she would take care of it and brought the same bread back toasted. We continued to sit there waiting for our meals. First impression is lovely when you arrive. It was incredibly cold but the outdoor area looked amazing and I would definitely return during warmer weather to check it out. The dining area was lovely with beautiful art and intimate seating. Our server was friendly, though a bit pushy on the drinks for my friends' taste (kept asking if we were ready for tequila shots ). I was impressed with the look and ambiance, so hopes were high. The food, however, was a huge let down. We had chicken parmigiana.. and by the breading and texture of the chicken, Im sure it was a frozen cutlet that was just heated up. We also had lasagna - but found carrots, bell peppers, and large onions in it - unexpected.. and not in a fun way. There were only 2 tables seated when we got there, and our waiter told us there was a wait for bread. Service sort of spiraled downhill from there. I went to this restaurant 12/27/21. The food was good but the staff lacked professionalism and had poor hygiene. Their employees were vaping in the kitchen over food and at the bar over the drinks. On top of all of that, NO ONE had on a mask. They were touching their faces and coughing into their hands and then touching the plates. I am never going back to this restaurant!

Nasty! Arrived with a few friends every entree arrived look like it was cooked in the same soupy water and was flavorless. I could only eat a few bites before my stomach ended up in knots. The soupy water look like they use dirty sink water after washing tons of dishes. We requested lamb pops as appetizer definitely was not the Imagery we thought of when we seen it. Look like slimy meat laid out on a plate… disgusting!!! The only thing decent was the water. I ordered take out. A spaghetti carbonara, which came with a salad and they also gave me about 4-5 pieces of bread. Good portions and good flavor. I am glad the salad dressing came on the side because I thought it was pretty strong vinegar flavor and oily. (It’s the house Italian vinaigrette, but not my favorite of dressings like this) I thought the price was a little high and the staff wasn’t decently friendly when I arrived for my order. Also beautiful decor and tables inside. Would consider going back and ordering at the restaurant but would also try other places in the area.

Wow! We had an amazing experience. As a native NJ Italian I had high expectations for an Italian place in the middles of NC and it lived up to it. We had fried zucchini with marinara, the warm bread was great and our server Brian even made my partner some garlic bread just for her. I had veal which was perfectly cooked and the chicken Florentine was seasoned with fresh parsley and you could taste the mushrooms in every bite. Dessert was equally good, and probably one of the best tiramisu I have ever had! We essentially had a 4 course meal for less then $150. Will totally be back again!

Horrible experience! Food order was all wrong, waited forever and then every dish tasted bland. Had to get them to correct our food order three times. Spent a lot of money for very tasteless food. Very disappointing.!!!!The servers are all very nice and very polite. The problem is in managing and the kitchen apparently.We asked them to re-cook our pizza because it was raw. It came back and they had apparently microwaved it it was like cardboard.

The bread and dipping oil were very flavorful. I couldn’t eat my entree. It was like a soup and had no flavor. I had chunks of onion in it, I felt like the dish could be refined. When I bit into i, it tasted of fat and no seasonings. I ordered the chicken piccata. I asked for a side of pasta and it arrived with a burnt tasting red meat sauce. I couldn’t use the pasta to soak up my soup. My husband ordered the lobster ravioli. Although it was decent, It was not homemade and the sauce tasted off. Everything lacked in salt. It was overpriced for what we were given.

My server did her job well and I appreciate her greatly for that, but this restaurant is absolute trash. They should be ashamed to let that food leave the kitchen. You shouldn't even be allowed to choose up to 2 stars to rate this spot, let alone 5. I never leave reviews and I hardly check them when trying a new spot, because I like to form my own opinions. I couldn't do anything but laugh as I paid my "fine dining" bill. Robbery in broad daylight.

I had the worst service here. we had a reservation and were seated 15 minutes later at a table with 2 chairs. managers were talking crazy to the staff and a bartender served us and kept disappearing. i get my food and my pasta is missing, salmon was burnt. first pasta was wrong. second was overcooked and so was the last. manager argued with us and offered a dessert. then we had to correct the server who said we got all our food when i did not. everyone was extremely rude and dismissive. don't eat here.

I liked the setting, it was romantic and nice. The staff was courteous. I enjoyed the shrimp parmigiana but apparently the salmon wasn't as good because the lemon flavor and excess of citric juices overwhelmed the dish. The bread and house salads were okay. One of the sides (baked potatoes) was served about 10 min after the entrees.

Pros: their outdoor area is really nice and a perfect set up for live music. Our server, Mitchell, worked so hard to make our visit enjoyable despite some challenges.
Cons: no one to help us and the other 12+ people waiting for their reservation upon arrival. When we found someone they told us to search for our own table with our name on it. We tried to order a bottle of Pinot Noir and were told that they didn't have any. Crazy, because Pinot Noir pairs so well with Italian food AND there
