Our prices do vary by Stylist. When calling for an appointment our Concierge will gladly provide pricing for specific members of our team. Services are provided a la carte and styling services are not included with the price of chemical services. Our professional Dry Scalp Treatment addresses the needs of a dry and flaky scalp, instantly relieving irritation, dryness and itchiness.
With over 22 years of experience Olti is a master colorist and stylist who is well known for his blonding techniques such as balayage and highlighting, as well as being specialized in hair extensions and smoothing services such as, Keratin and Brazilian Blowout. He takes a personal approach to each session, listening to each client wants and needs, making it more than just an appointment, but an experience.

I just moved to Boston by way of Chicago ... Philly...and NYC. I desperately wanted a change (I had long hair and wanted to go to my collarbone). I've been toying with the idea of a drastic cut for years but when I read the reviews and met Olti I finally took the plunge. I've never received so many compliments on my hair! I booked a double appointment for my girlfriend and I as we had a black tie at the state room. We were coming from out of state and all was well. We were also planning on adding in makeup too as we were told we… had up to the week before to book that. I received a call from the salon a week and a half before the appointments to say that they over booked and our appointments were now canceled…. How awful is that, I could not find a salon in Boston to do both of our hair. Absolutely terrible service, not even an apology.

Julida did such an amazing job with my hair!! I came not knowing exactly what I wanted and she talked me through what would work best with my skin tone then went through some pictures I brought in and then she worked her magic from there! Saul is the best hair stylist I've ever had! He took a lot of time to listen to my style, what I wanted and to study my hair and gave me exactly the haircut I wanted. He was also able to fix a big mess I made after cutting my own hair during Covid lockdown. My hair looked dry and shapeless and now looks healthy and great! Thank you, Saul! I will definitely come back and highly recommend this salon.

I had an incredible experience with Julida! She really took the time to understand what I was looking for and made suggestions based on that. She cleaned up my long, split-end riddled hair that hadn’t been cut since the beginning of the pandemic, and left me with a much lighter, layered cut that looks great. I couldn’t be happier!

I had high hopes visiting this salon, but I was utterly disappointed. It was clear the stylist was in no mood for another client. I shared my end goals and knew what I wanted to achieve would take multiple sessions. I asked what the best options would be to get there and I was met with flustered responses when I was simply looking for expertise. In the middle of the process, demeaning comments were made about American people - obesity and the wearing of leggings, specifically. It was weird and extremely uncomfortable. Let me start with this: JULIDA IS AWESOME! If you are a muslim woman with covered hair looking for a great hair service at one of the best salons in Boston, GO TO V&O and ask for Julida! They are very accommodating and understanding of the privacy need.
This is my second time to get a hair cut and treatment by Julida, and for sure this won't be the last! She is so good and pay attention to details. I was looking for someone talented at a place that accommodates covered hair Muslims, and here it's!

I'm a guy and hadn't had a real haircut in over a year because of Covid, so I needed a professional to fix the damage I had done to my hair using clippers I had bought on Amazon. Olti had clearly seen it all before and came up with a plan to get my hair back to where used to be (this was going to take a couple of haircuts to let let some of the hair grow back while cutting that which had gotten out of control. LADIES - well groomed men - and MOST especially middle eastern women we know just how important our eyebrows are! That’s why the only person I’ve trusted to touch mine (for SEVEN years now) is Michelle. I’ve had my eyebrows done in so many cities and even various countries and NO ONE does them like Michelle. I trust her so much I had her shape them before I got them microbladed.
It’s a blessing and a curse because once Michelle gets a hold of your eyebrows you’ll never let anyone else touch them. I no longer live in Boston and now I travel two hours to Michelle. I know it sounds insane

It’s always scary going to a new salon, especially for color, but I am so happy with my experience here! First of all I messaged on Yelp to inquire about availability and Saul answered my questions so quickly and guided me to what I would need. He even got me availability the next day. Bri was my stylist and she was amazing. I got a bayalage and a trim and she got it exactly how I wanted and you could tell how skilled she was with color and cutting. She was so nice and even stayed a little late to get my cut perfect. It’s definitely worth it!

I've been looking for a great hairstylist since moving to Boston 6 years ago and bounced around to many different salons. Although I've had OK balayage experiences with other stylists, I never felt in love with my hair and something always looked a bit off. This was until I discovered V&O.
I reached out to V&O on yelp and they replied within an hour or two to help me book an appointment for two days later. I was very happy they had openings because my hair was getting out of control.

First time coming here and I absolutely loved it! My Artist, Brandon, was super helpful and gave me the exact look I wanted. I ordered the partial foil, wanted my hair and highlights to be a little lighter and cut it short! Brandon was so nice and made sure I was taken care of. They offer excellent service and ask you for water upon arrival and check up on you frequently. Very clean, and did not take that long. Whatever touch-up I needed Brandon knew exactly what to do. Quality and time was essential and he made sure to have it perfect. 5/5!!

I had an experience here that I wouldn't say is explicitly terrible but was a bit confusing and left me unwilling to return. I already have a slight phobia of salons because of unpleasant experiences in the past (for some reason many of the males I have encountered in the salon industry have been slightly patronizing and condescending, so I almost exclusively book with women now).
The backdrop: I had gotten microblading done so I wasn't able to wash my hair at home because my artist instructed to keep the brows dry. In the past I have also bleached my dark asian hair to a light blonde

Julida is amazing!!! I went in on a Saturday evening not knowing the salon closes soon, and Julida stayed back late and spent nearly 1.5 hours on my hair. I absolutely love my haircut! She added so many layers and made my hair so much lighter and manageable. She's super talented and pays great attention to details. Can't wait to come back and get a balayage done with her. Also, the guy at the reception was very friendly and helpful, and stayed back as well. I wish I had known of this place earlier! I have tried quite a few salons on Newbury, and this one is by far the best.

As I said, Saul is my back up hair dresser but sometimes you need to get a cut somewhere else just to change it up a bit ....he did that very thing for me in September

I moved from California about a year ago and after a terrible haircut experience (do not ever go on Groupon for haircuts!) I was desperate to get my hair taken care of. What caught my attention was Saul's response to my request through Yelp messages, while most salons had me go through their internal website. A personal touch in answering messages really goes a long way! I requested a balayage, which Saul took ample time to care for. He had a team helping with my hair, and everyone here seems to know their stuff, since this is the most gentle and pleasant hair experience I've ever had

I can’t say enough about our experience at V&O salon! It was absolutely incredibly AMAZING! We were in town for my son’s Gatsby theme wedding. Michelle was so knowledgeable about the makeup and hair during… this era. Michelle’s attention to detail exceeded all of our expectations! She even squeezed in an incredible updo for my daughter! Everyone at the salon was so warm and welcoming and made a stressful wedding day the PERFECT wedding day! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town!
