Healdsburg teahouse is a quirky combination of homestyle Japanese cuisine, teas and relaxing spa. The reason Taste of Tea has come back on my radar is the authentic Japanese comfort food created by owner and executive chef Nozomu (Nez) Tokugawa.
The Classic Bento ($18) includes meticulously prepared offerings of pickled sea vegetables, miso soup, small bites of sashimi and chicken katsu, all served in a lacquered bento box that looks and feels like a small gift rather than a simple lunch.Specials like the katsu changeup, but teriyaki beef and chicken as well as fried tofu are always on the menu.

Cool spot for Ramen and tea.
We found this lively place while driving by Healdsburg our son is big fan of Onigiri this place has great selection of beverages especially artisans tea which I quite pleased.
Order house special Miso ramen and sukiyaki ramen they are both quite tasty. The service is great our server is so polite and really helpful with the menu makes sure that we are ok. We definitely be back againand will recommend this place to our friends.

I made reservations in multiple places for my wife's birthday, then we had to pivot and change nights (child care!!!!). I made reservations several more places and let my wife pick. We had a really rough day and it was freezing! So what better than Ramen. I called taste of tea and explained I had reservations for tomorrow but our child care changed. They said we will fit you in!
I apologize but I can not remember our waitress's name, because after hearing the Sake suggestions at a table next to us, we had to steal Kendall for our own! Kendall was awesome she gave us multiple tastes

Delicious food and excellent service. We found this place when looking for a late lunch. Could not have been more satisfied with the experience! Staff took care of my elderly mom who accidentally selected a ramen that was too spicy. Offered us other choices, not all on the menu, which proved to be just right for her taste. She and I left very happy with our discovery. Can't wait to return when next in town.

We returned to our favorite restaurant. The food is still wonderful. Chef Nez keeps the food authentic Japanese. He tries out new foods (but traditional). The staff is excellent as usual. The kitchen does a great job in preparing the food and presentation. We love it here. (hint: I still miss my Green Tea Sundae - reminds me of Japan).

Had a wonderfully beautiful and fresh lunch today. The Tikka Donburi bowl and gyoza started us off both delicious and excellent preparation and presentation the gyoza were delicate and delicious. The tuna was succulent. I had the Bento box. The chicken teriyaki was a tad dry but everything else was well done and tasty. The shrimp and honestly the rice were the standouts. My husband had a Donburi bowl with pork. Delicious pork and loved the veggies. The desserts looked good we were just full. The teas we ordered - one hot and one cold - were terrific. The waitress helped us decide.

Incredible and yummy experience. Had the Bento box. Portions were okay. But food was DELICIOUS. The drinks you need to try the unicorn Sake drink. Wow!

Superb Japanese food! Nice outdoor seating which is well shaded. Super dog friendly. Service excellent! We had the salmon ramen and the soba salmon salad. Both were excellent! I don't know how they cook the salmon perfectly!! Can't wait to come back. Great location, just a short walk from the plaza!

Thank you Taste of Tea for keeping us nourished and comforted on a cold, rainy, winter night! Our go-to takeout order: vegan ramen & pork ramen, and then we'll sometimes add gyoza, chicken skewers, edamame, and/or a noodle dish. We appreciate the takeout ramen being sent in components: broth separate from everything else. Compose at home and enjoy! 1) Sweet curry w/ chicken - I enjoyed this dish! :)
2) Gyoza ramen - husband said it was just OK; definitely can't compare with ramen in Los Angeles, etc.
3) Gyoza w/ pork - husband ordered this and said it was just OK; he's had better gyoza
4) Blue butterfly jasmine milk tea - this drink was actually blue (interesting!); just OK in flavor
5) Oyako donburi - this was good.

I had been wanting to try taste of tea since I returned to Sonoma County. While being in Hawaii and Japan for a few years, we ate a ton of Japanese food and especially a ton of ramen. I've had quite a few delicious bowls from ramen gaijin in Sebastopol and I have been on the hunt for more ramen since my return.

I grew up eating traditional Japanese food and have always been disappointed with the so called Japanese restaurants in Healdsburg. Then I discovered Taste of Tea and how Japanese should really taste. Their… Beef Donburi rocks and so does their Salmon Donburi! Sorry other places I’m not going back as long as Taste of Tea is in town!

The taste of tea teamc goes to great lengths to make everyone feel cared for and well fed! I have tried just about everything and you can taste the gentle hands and amazing favors that Chef Vince brings to every dish. The tea section has plenty of choices, and a little something for everyone. The sake is a must try and the beers too.
