Funeral services honor our loved ones with a tribute that celebrates their life, as well as recognizes their passing. Understandably, most people care deeply about "getting it right." There is only one chance to create funeral arrangements that are customized to the unique personality of the deceased and also bring comfort to family and friends.
If your loved one had a pre-planning document, either at home or on-file with a funeral director, you should have immediate access to important information that will help ensure that your family member's wishes are carried out as specified. Burial services are often thought of as taking place in a cemetery following a traditional funeral service. Services do not need to happen immediately after a funeral, as was once the custom. When my mom passed on October 24, 2021 in Sherman, my family used Dannel Funeral Home for my Mom's burial services that took place in Louisiana.As the process seemed seamless, I have now learned that was not the case. Almost a year later I am trying to have things completed Dannel should have done for our mom and her resting place. From as simple as Dannel not providing a grave marker on the day of her burial (which I made and placed myself a few weeks later) to finding out that although Dannel Funeral Home was aware my mother had proudly served in the US Air Force and was a military Veteran

In December of 2019 I bought a funeral plan with Dannel Funeral home. I felt that everyone treated me with the most respect they could not have been any nicer. I was shown all my options, and never felt like I was pressured to purchase anything I didn't want . When my husband passed in June their professionalism really shone through. they provided us with a beautiful service, and i didn't have to do a thing. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and definately would use them again,

I lost my mom and had no idea what funeral home to use since I was not from the Sherman area. We went in and spoke with Charles and immediately felt at home. He treated us with the utmost respect and my mom looked beautiful at her service. They gave us all the time we needed to have our service. We had a few family members that were late and they didn’t pressure us to stay on a tight schedule. The catered food was delicious. I would highly recommended Dannel Funeral Home. I feel like we made a friend of Charles, not just a business transaction. I think Heavenly Father puts people in your life

Accommodating, sensitive and attention to detail best describe our recent experience with Dannel. We sadly experienced the loss of my father, but Charles and his staff did a superb job of handling the details. They truly gave our family a chance to get accustomed to our new situation while they professionally and caringly guided us through the transition. They provided around the clock services and went way beyond what I expected. I almost hate to mention price during such an intimate ordeal, but the value provided for services rendered was outstanding. I wish they could open a branch in Atlanta

My family has used Dannel for many family members in the past, but this is the first time I was personally responsible for making arrangements. The staff was caring, and considerate with every contact. I did not feel pressured to do anything I did not want to do, and they did a beautiful job with the conservative wishes of my family. They did offer some suggestions that made the memorial sweeter than I imagined it could be. Their attention to detail is remarkable. My family will continue to use them in the future, and we are grateful for the personal service we received.

DO NOT GO HERE! These people will take advantage of you and your emotional state of mind to try and make an extra buck. My mother was insistent that when her time came we use this funeral home so we did. They tried to guilt us into spending more money than we had by making inappropriate comments and second guessing our thrifty choices. If they didn't already have her body I would have walked out and never dreamed of doing business with them but they claimed even if we left we would still owe them money for picking her up from the hospital etc. I don't know if any other funeral home is any better
