To all of the insensitive people leaving a review, about Amore and their staff, you guys have to remember at all cost and at the end of the day AMORE CAN NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX OR RATHER APPROVE ANY REPAIRS WITHOUT THE OWNERS CONSENT. Which causes their business to be affected by bad reviews like this! At the end of the day WHST can one do with someone else’s money????? Think about it??? Could they really be that bad? It’s actually illegal to be that bad! It’s the owners of the properties their managing that causes conflict amongst the tenants. I’ve lived at a property that Amore manages and

Amore consistently demonstrates that they do not care about their tenants. Our water gets shut off randomly without notice or solution. They do construction and openly lie to tenants about the scope and timeline to try to get them to move in. I wouldn't trust them about anything. Bad people and bad business.

I am grateful for the reviews that others wrote. Now that I have decided not to rent, I have two warnings based on my experience:
(1) READ AND NEGOTIATE YOUR LEASE!
(2) Beware of Property Manager!
You MUST MUST MUST read your lease! Make sure that when the lease defines "normal business hours" that normal business hours - not 7am-7pm, 7 days a week - are actually listed.
Next, clauses such as the one that says they won't repair plumbing for "misuse." Have them explicitly define misuse, and you'll find that they characterize normal use - such as hair in the shower drain - as "misuse" and you

Amore is so rude to their tenants. Most of their tenants at 940 Guerrero St. moved out during the during the pandemic because of the horrible property management. I could go on and on and details are similar to other stories and other reviews. many tenants who have moved in, have regretted it. This is the only way I know how to warn people.

I don’t even know where to begin.
Everyone in my building 651 Scott Street left because of Amore’s lack of professionalism. The building was under constant construction. They lied about timeline continuously and had no empathy for the disruption of tenants quality of life. Needed tenants to unionize so they would start fixing things. Rude and dishonest. They took advantage of us until Covid.
It’s a shame. The building I lived in used to be so nice and was in the best location. But dealing with Amore was the worst. Avoid at all costs.

After 3 years of living in the Marina I recently moved to Oregon for work. Mark reached out to see if I was being displaced due to Covid and if a reduction in rent would help me stay. I explained it was actually for a job opportunity making it impossible to stay in the city. The Amore office met me at my apartment for a last minute walk-through before I departed and told me I'd get my deposit back within a couple weeks. I received my deposit back after a week and a half as promised. My full experience with Amore was pretty standard as a property management office. I enjoyed my apartment living

I live at 1233 California Street - a building Amore started managing in the spring of 2020. I am totally baffled by how rude they are and impossible to get a hold of UNLESS it's about money. They are combative and unaccommodating. And they do a very poor job of acting as a conduit with the owner and tenants - exacerbating any issues instead of finding solutions. I can't imagine the owner of my building would be happy knowing the tenants are being treated poorly and neglected.

TLDR: Amore's staff is nearly entirely rude, unresponsive, and acts as if you have done something wrong when you request basic help from them. This attitude starts with the CEO Mark Grant, who is as rude as anyone at the company.
With Covid-19, San Francisco renters now have more choices and leverage, and I would strongly encourage you to think twice before renting from Amore.
In 8 years as a renter, I was consistently floored by the attitude of nearly everyone I dealt with. Whether we had a leak or any other issue, the default response was to either ignore communication or act annoyed

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
Amore Real Estate puts zero effort into their responsibilities in building management and maintenance, yet nitpicks tenants on petty issues in an effort to justify their fee. My hope is that my building owner sees the ENTIRELY 1-STAR REVIEWS and pursues new management.

Apartment hunting in San Francisco has been extremely difficult with all of these virtual tours. I recently met with Jeremy using Zoom and he made the process simple and painless. I was able to find a place that worked for me and I'm thrilled to be moving in soon. Thank you Jeremy and the team for making the process as easy as possible!

With Covid changing the market, I had been looking for a new apartment in Cow Hollow. I found a 1BR and contacted the listing agent Jeremy. After viewing the property privately with social distancing in mind, I applied and heard back right away. The acceptance was timely and lease signing was digital. Moving into my new apartment next week and couldn't be more thrilled. Will keep you updated with the property maintenance.

Truly terrible, lazy, ineffective management whose singular interest is in avoiding any of their actual work responsibilities (e.g - exterior maintenance and cleanliness, tenant requests, informing tenants of necessary inconveniences in a timely and respectful manner). I love my apartment; but, cannot think of a single positive thing to say about it's management. Exterior of windows are perpetually filthy and haven't been cleaned in years. Exterior spaces left to their own decay without proper maintenance or cleaning. Callbox for guest entry works sporadically, at best. The list

We applied for an apartment through Amore and got it, and because of some personal circumstances we had to not only delay the time to sign the lease but also had to go back on it, eventually. Despite SF's hot rental market, Jeremy Porter was extremely patient, communicative and overall supportive throughput this entire process.
We have never had a better experience dealing with a real estate company or leasing agent before. I highly recommend Amore and Jeremy's services for your future rental needs and look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I'm unsure how they're still in business. They are money hungry sharks, that do the bare minimum and do not favor health and best practices. I've had mold and a hole in my ceiling for 2-3 months before they fixed it, they failed to manage and communicate with the workers to streamline the process. They only had one job to do.
Also, they promised a washer and dryer 3-4 years ago and continue to increase our rent above market value and have failed to respond promptly. It's not worth my frustration and additional effort so I'm planning to leave.

They are a rogue management company.
They do not reply to emergency repairs after 5PM, over the weekend and holidays. Many times this causes damage to the building and/or to the tenant.
From the owner, Mark Grant, the the new receptionist, April they are equally rude. From the top down!
I went in for a simple payment and it took April 20 minutes bc it was in cash and she had difficulties counting it. Receptionist is the first line and if Amore was willing to pay for someone with experience they would.
It's impossible bc they will not return calls and just hang up on you if they do not

I don't recommend that you bother to deal with them. They have a new receptionist, April, that doesn't even have basic skills. hey must not want to pay to hire someone that is qualified. So this makes even a basic request nearly impossible. I asked to be put on hold until she located the appropriate phone number. After 8 minutes on hold, I called back and she said "I put you on hold because you asked to be put on hold" and then hung up on me.
With this attitude from their first line, and she's this boldly rude when she' new, don't expect anything more from Mark Grant, the owner.

I will update about the awful property management every time they harass or neglect: this time, amore is trying to bully me. I had called to complain about a number of things that were being ignored on 6/5, after many messages to multiple people. THAT VERY DAY, they drafted a letter regarding a plumbing issue that was fixed on April 17th, almost two months ago. i've never heard anything about this plumber visit, UNTIL the day i complained. then, a letter was drafted threatening that this was my FINAL NOTICE (final implies there were other notices, but over 17 years, i have never received a

I've been living in an Amore apartment for almost 5 years now and I really have nothing but good things to say.
I'm writing this review as in the past two weeks they have helped clean out our complex's garage by hiring a disposal company, came same day to check on a plumbing issue, and came same day to look at dryer.
The dryer was broken and within 24 hours have ordered parts to be installed early next week.
Every time I work with Anna I'm thankful to have her running the maintenance show for Amore.
Jerry has been great also. I had a couple roommates swap in and out
