Trixie Hong is one of the bilingual/singing MCs on team JK and is thrilled to be a part of the family! Having spent half of her childhood in Korea and the other in the States, she grew up living and embracing the perfect melting pot of both cultures. Steve Kim is the bilingual MC on the team JK. Back in 2005, as the praise team leader and host at his church and community, he has built a reputation as an MC.
Jimmy Koh is a founder of JK Wedding Events. He was born in Korea, and immigrated to Irvine, California when he was a 16 years old. A learning a different language and life style was uneasy for him. However, his passion & enthusiasm made everything possible. He loved to listen & sing many different songs.

I have always enjoyed mixing and mashing up songs since I was in high school. It wasn't until post college that I have found an outlet to share my creativity. Weddings and other corporate events has given me the opportunity to showcase this. I find it to be most rewarding when guests get into the music as much as I do.

Jimmy was phenomenal at hosting our wedding event in Dallas on October 17, 2021. He was everything that you could want in an MC/DJ and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable ceremony that lasts not only in the minds of my wife and I, but also of those of the wedding guests.
I quote one of the wedding guests in saying that "it was the best wedding ceremony" he had ever attended. 100% recommended! I can't thank Jimmy and his staff enough for the incredible work they did for our wedding. We had a very difficult crowd to entertain because it consisted of people from all walks of life, including people from rural/urban areas, different racial backgrounds and Hollywood entertainment professionals. You need someone who can command the room and read the crowd when this situation happens. Jimmy executes this perfectly. This is such a delayed review for JK and his team due to my studies, but Jimmy and Rachel have been such a blessing to our couple. My wedding was finally on 7/25/21, but it was postponed twice and it was a very stressful time for everyone, but Rachel and JK handled it so professionally, and also emotionally supported us through the two years of unknown Covid times. The wedding was beautiful and I still think about how great the experience was. Guests gave so many compliments and everyone really enjoyed the day. We hired JK Wedding Events as our DJ and MC. Since we had guests who spoke English, Vietnamese, and Korean, it was really nice to have Jimmy and Christine MC and DJ for us so that everyone could understand. They kept our guests engaged so that the night went along smoothly. Where do i begin?? Jimmy and his team seriously is the most kindhearted, accommodating, hardworking crew you will ever encounter. The team has the heart to really make your wedding come true in any circumstance. For us, we rescheduled our wedding twice due to covid and Jimmy and his team did everything they can in their will power to work it all with all of our initial vendors. It could have turned out so complicated but the team saved our big day. Jimmy as a great wedding coordinator team and they are all so amazing. Lastly, DJ is fire !

MC Jimmy and DJ John helped to create a fun and celebratory atmosphere for my wedding reception! We had a virtual meeting with Jimmy a couple weeks prior to the wedding, which went smoothly and we both got an idea of expectations. I first met Jimmy and his team at one of my best friends' wedding and was AMAZED at his vocal and his bilingual MC skills making the whole reception so smooth AND fun. Jimmy at JK Wedding Events was amazing DJ/MC at my wedding. They were flexible during the planning process, especially when I had changes up to couple days before my wedding. During the wedding, not only did they execute all the songs smoothly for flawless transitions but they also had great sense of humor not only as MC but also as the DJ played sounds during reception to make the crowd laugh and have a good time. I hired Jk Wedding Events to help out with a majority of my ceremony/reception. We used Jimmy as our MC/DJ and Rachel as our month of coordinator. We also ended up renting a photo booth from Jk Events as well.
I have been receiving so many compliments about Jimmy and his work that my phone has not stopped blowing up since my wedding. He walks a really fine balance between Korean/American and entertained all of our guests (this was super impressive because we had our English speaking guests and our parents super Korean/traditional guests).

We hired Sophia and DJ Swan for our wedding at the 1909 on 6/20/21. Sophia was great. Very high energy and engaging with the guests. She ran a treasure hunt and it was a lot of fun and very engaging. DJ Swan was amazing and we got lots of complements on the song choices by our guests. The dance floor was popping until the very end.

RACHEL IS THE BEST!!! For my pre-Covid wedding, I was lucky to get Rachel as my wedding coordinator. She's absolutely the best, and made everything SO EASY. During and on the day of, she was on top of everything. I felt I could really enjoy the day, and she was so sweet and courteous, I never felt rushed to do anything.

My wife Sara and I had the pleasure of working with DJ John Park and MC Steve Kim for our wedding over the weekend. From the beginning to the end of the whole process they have been nothing but true professionals and made us feel that they really care about our wedding and that made it even more special. He speaks Korean/English fluently and is a crowd pleaser for the adults. We let him know that majority of the crowd was younger-adults, so he was able to adapt and keep things light-hearted. I imagine however, he can keep it appropriate for all age levels.

When we started wedding planning, we were going to ask a friend to MC our wedding for us at first. However, we realized it's actually a pretty big favor to ask. We also wanted our friends to not stress and just enjoy themselves. We are so glad we hired Jimmy Koh as our Master of Ceremonies/Wedding Singer instead.
