The most underrated Thai place in the Grapevine or Southlake area. Since we found this gem, we return at least every couple weeks.

Hot take, but I think its the best pad thai in DFW. i have been on a journey to try every thai place in the metroplex and they still rank #1. I recommend every curry too. Friendly staff and very quick service.

Good reviews so I said to myself not to expect too much because of the demographics of the clientele. I'm not trying to be too critical and going anywhere for good food by gaylords is just difficult without venturing out too far.

But regardless I'm a customer. I ordered the tiger cry, papaya salad, tom yum and pad Thai.

Pad Thai was a bit mushy. The tom yum soup was very salty. Tiger cry was the only acceptable dish. No real options for a toddler which just killed me.

Thai Riverside is our go-to Thai restaurant in Grapevine. The food is always good (especially the curries [massaman, duck, red, and Penang], the pad Thai, and the pineapple fried rice). We also love the crispy pork and veggie spring rolls. While the premises are a bit unassuming, you can’t beat the food. They also allow you to BYOB which makes for a fun evening. They are very careful in packing up the take-out food so you can replicate the restaurant experience at home. I definitely recommend them!

Update: Tried again a couple of times and left unhappy each time. The spice levels are very inconsistent... one time you order a level 2 and it is on the mild side, another time it is scorching hot, like mine was today. When I spoke to the server, they just shrugged and walked off. Also, my curry was supposed to have snow peas and instead they just put in a bunch of regular peas. Also, no water refills offered.
I am done, this was my last visit. Bad food, unfriendly service -- not worth it!

Honestly forgot what it's like to have hot food from a restaurant. Went in 30 min till they closed & it's so fresh and hot. The best rainy day food ever. Delicious.

Good food in the neighborhood. Been around since I moved to Grapevine 10 years ago. The only restaurant to do that in that mall, so that should tell you something. Friendly people. Specials keep things interesting. Standbys are also good.

I love Thai food and this place did not disappoint. Delicious Pad Kee Mow (drunken noodles) with perfect level of spice for me at a #3, and a fun spin with carrots and a touch of sweetness. It’s close to home so I’ll be back often! Also wanted to note my order was ready when I arrived and the interior is quaint, clean and homey. Great experience and great food!

Finally!!! Amazing and flavorful Thai in the DFW area. I moved here a year ago, from California, and I've been trying to find a great Thai restaurant. I found Riverside by pure luck and this is my second time here in a week.

They provide a scale of 0-5 for levels of spicy for their many dishes.
I had the Panang Curry with scallops, Pad Thai with Tofu and the corn fritters for an appetizer.

I am very reserved when in comes to compliments on Yelp. I recommend this restaurant to anyone within 30 miles.

We drove all the way here which is a 50 minute drive which my niece recommended. It is a small place near the donut shop. Inside is really nice, but if you need to use the bathroom, it is like going inside your garage really hot and sweaty.

The service was really nice and attentive. The food does not come out at the same time, but it is okay. I ordered the crispy duck and the bbq pork skewers. The crispy duck with the shrimp chips was really great and tasty and moist. It does not look like much, but it does fill you up. I wanted to try dessert, but they forgot to ask if we wanted any. The guy on the phone wasn't very nice. They charge 5% extra for takeout (srsly?). The place was 85 degrees with only fans blowing instead of AC. It would have been closer to 2 stars but the woman working there was very nice.

First time here and took "take out"! Gentleman server helped us with ordering.I had a chef's special with pork called Waterfall pork and spouse had a shrimp dish called Plah Kung. Both good and spicy enough for me. I did#2 level ( yes I know I am a whimp but am 82 years old so can't take heat too well anymore) Spouse chose #3 level and said that he could MAYBE go to level 4 but he's used to eating habaneros!! Want to try lunch sometime---looks good.

This place is kind of a hole in the wall. Good people, couple ran I believe and they keep the place really clean. They had to up their prices, which is understandable but I feel like they skimped out in servings. There was a bed of lettuce that looked like there was a lot more food than there really was.

I ordered the drunken noodles and the flavor was not bad. It could have been a bit better but I'm comparing with other restaurants. Great place! I may just stick with my usual Thai place though.

Went because they said they have fried bananas but when got there they said no because people dont order it often enough. Pineapple fried rice had a thick yellow something on it. Taste good that day. Next day i heated to eat and it was slimy. Gross. Portions really small for the price.

We ordered take out while visiting Great Wolf Lodge, and it was a perfect choice! Everything we ordered was deliciously flavorful. The pad Thai, Thai fried rice, and the Pad Num Prik Pao. Oh and of course the mango with sticky rice and Thai tea. All so great. Will definitely go back.

I'm conflicted on how many stars to give this place. Their fried rice is always good and great seasoning. Their sticky rice and mango dessert is also wonderful. However, I just paid 11.00 for a papaya salad that was supposed to have grilled shrimp. I got 2 boiled shrimp on top. 2. Not even big shrimp. How is this ok to sell a salad advertising grilled shrimp and you get two measly barely boiled shrimp? Heck Even Panda Express gives better and more shrimp! I called the restaurant to inquire thinking surely it was a mistake. The person who answered stated "no, it's 11.00, you only

This is a small neighborhood Thai food restaurant. I have been coming to this restaurant for a while.
If you would like authentic Thai food cooked to your order, this is the place for you. Although they only have about a dozen tables, normally there is plenty of Room, of course everything right now is increased spacing for the virus.
My 2 personal favorites there are the tiger beef and they pad tai. They do an especially good job on these dishes, but I've had many other things on the menu and they're all equally tasty.
Make sure you give their various soups a try as well as some steamed dumplings

I ordered the red curry with chicken and pad thai with chicken lunch specials to go, both level 3/5 spicy. The lady on the phone was very polite. My order was ready when I arrived 15 minutes later. Both dishes were delicious with just the right amount of kick. You get plenty of food for the price. I will definitely be back.

I visited during lunch and was surprised that Thai Riverside is pickup/to-go orders only. The gentleman that took my order was very fast and not very polite or helpful. I asked if I could order the Pad Thai with chicken at spicy level 3/5, and he just turned around and started towards the kitchen. I had to call after him to find out how long the wait would be.
Other than this, the food is really very good and took only 10 minutes from the time I arrived and left. The spicy level was perfect, chicken was delicious, tofu fried to perfection, and I loved that there was a ton of peanuts and a juicy

I ordered basil fried rice, drunken noodles, and shrimp spring roll, and my total came to $40, so they are very expensive in my opinion. I know I asked for spicy number five for both dishes, but they made it so unbearably spicy, that It felt like it was done out of spite. The peanut sauce was very yummy, surprisingly, but the spring rolls were pretty small.

Delicious food. Service is hit or miss. The lady waitress didnt speak English. I asked if their thai coffee had whole milk or condense milk. I'm lactose intolerant, she said there is only one milk. I said um...so what kind is it? she couldnt tell me so I didnt order it at first. Somebody at the table spoke thai and they were speaking in Thai and she translated it to me. Their coffee has condense milk so I can drink it! it was good! Their drunken noodles was also delicious but the tom yum soup was the best!

We went here for lunch and it was fabulous!!! Their lunch menu is very reasonable and includes all the Thai favorites. They use a 1 to 5 scale for the level of spicy-ness. I love spicy food (it's not hot enough unless you're sniffing) and I ordered a level 2 based on the recommendation of my friend and it was perfect.

I had the yellow curry and it was so fresh and flavorful. My friends had pad Thai and asked for spice to be added and they loved it. The lunch entrees come with a appetizer too and I had the veggie spring roll was great.

Will definitely be back here. Great hole

Love this place and have eaten here several times, did not realize they charged more for take out orders but it's not going to make me stop coming here.
One of the best Thai places around and love that they actually make food 'Thai hot' if you ask them to. Very good flavors and pretty traditional style cuisine, except I think they're slightly heavy handed with the sugar. I specify no added sugar when placing orders and it makes a significant difference.
They are timely and food is always fresh and hot.
