Beyti
Beyti has been serving the NY/NJ area with 100% Halal and only Halal food since it opened in 1981. Beyti was the first Turkish as well as the first Halal restaurant in NY/NJ. Since then, our menu has grown to include more vegetarian and sea food options - enriching our exquisite menu. Our main dishes are served on a heap of buttery rice with grilled tomatoes and peppers.

Tasty sandwiches and salads are ideal for lunch as is the hearty lentil soup. Beyti also serves more conventional fare, like a sparkling array of dips and spreads with puffy bread, and the usual chops and kebabs. The service is so pleasant, you will want to linger over desserts such as baklava or kadayif, shredded wheat with walnuts and strong Turkish coffee.
Services
In 1983, Beyti went into business with a few tables and a small butcher store, and went into service with its two services at the first and only location in Union City in the year 1983. For the first time in New Jersey, there was a restaurant serving Turkish Food, fulfilling the demand and also a meat market that would satisfy the needs for the cultural Turkish cooking in homes around the area.

I used to come here every year when the restaurant was managed by someone else. Now, under new management (I think) the service has gone down the drain. When I first entered the restaurant, the waiter asked me: How may I help you? I mean really? I actually had to tell him literally I came to eat. The table we sat on had no napkins, water, ketchup, salt, mustard etc. On the table there were only 4 glasses and 4 plates. They brought the food piece by piece. I ordered french fries and it came with no ketchup or anything. I ordered 2 combinations for 4 people and that cost $57. 1 humus, 1 French fries

Cleanliness, yummy hot food with good service and a helpful and caring manager, what more do you ask for ?

We are vegetarians and ordered Falafel, Shepherd salad, Falafel, cigar rolls, Rice, baby Oakra, Lentil soup , spicy lebneh - Atom !!

Everything was delicious , ATOM was phenomenal !!

I recently had my wedding reception here and it was beautiful. We were able to reserve the whole private party room for the night and everything went perfectly. The staff was very accommodating and the manager Medine went out of her way to make sure the night was what I envisioned. The food was also some of the best Turkish food Iā€™ve ever had, very authentic and delicious. I would definitely recommend having any of your parties, weddings, events here or even to come for dinner! I am so happy I chose beyti as my venue, my expectations were blown away.

Poor service, bad quality of food and its pricey. Delivery is always late and cold. Dont recommend at all. There are many other Turkish authentic restaurants in the area. Take your business somewhere else.

Great service. Food needs to improve. Beyti is not the same as a couple of years ago and way before that. Place is very clean. Live music every weekend. Call to reserve a table. Music event price includes appetizers, main course, dessert, coffee or tea. BYOB.

I haven't been to this place for the longest until recently when we decided to go for my best friend's birthday. We paid a fixed price per person (tax and tip included) for live music, main course, mixed appetizer, fruits, and BYOB drinks. The live music was phenomenal and the main course was good too! What I liked about the appetizers was that instead of bringing one per table, everybody got a plate with a mixed variety of appetizers. I would've preferred actual dessert over the fruits, but it is what it is. Definitely would come here again!

They also have live music and belly dancing every once in a while. It's always a nice surprise and service is good and pleasant.

What a terrible place placed order on line went to pick up 1 hour later for a girl with a terrible attitude to tell me that not only did they not start it but they were out of three items.
Everybody makes a mistake but what a nasty person I truly hope people read this and don't support this local business there are so many other Turkish restaurants in the area thought i would try again after 4 years and a remodel my mistake

Generous portions and excellent food. Quick courteous service. The takeout is wrapped very carefully and they always include a generous loaf of fresh baked bread in there. Try the manti, that's tiny meat dumplings in a yogurt sauce.

Good restaurant in the neighborhood. Friendly staff. The food was good we ordered take out food because we didn't want to stay in the restaurant but they were keeping the social distancing inside. We ordered lahmahjoon pizza and chicken kebab The only thing is that we wish we were given more spoons and utensils and not even napkins were given to us or forks so that was one disappointment. Otherwise we understand is the time of pandemic. the food was good even though it could use a little more spice with chicken however.

Since the beginning of the pandemic , I made it a point to support the small local restaurants in the area . But I will not be ripped off.

This place was open but I had to grab a menu from the inside. On the menu , it clearly states 15 percent off dining in . When I pointed this to the waitress , she brushed it off as take out only despite the print saying otherwise.

I split one platter , one app(18 dollars for some bread and 6 heaping spoonfuls of babaganoush and hummus) ) 2 sodas, 2 desserts (1 of which was 3 bite size nibbles of store bought baklava) , and 2 thimble size shots of Turkish

A JEWEL OF UNION CITY!
Came here on a Saturday night, thinking there would be a Belly Dancer... but instead, there was a Turkish Band that played Turkish Music! And I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
GREAT AMBIENCE and AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! No waiting... everything was super nice, quick, and ALL SERVERS WERE VERY ATTENTIVE.
Turkish tea was good, FOOD WAS ON POINT! I totally recommend this place! Just wish they had this band or a belly dancer for Thursdays and Fridays too! I would come here everyday based on this one Saturday night.
P.S. they don't sell alcohol, BUT! you can bring your own alcohol!!!

Came here Sunday afternoon on a rainy day with a big party and am super impressed! The waiters were very efficient, friendly and helpful-they made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. Very much appreciated.

It was empty upon arrival and slowly started to fill up..maybe make a reservation in case-food is well worth it!

I ordered the chicken shish: chicken was delicious! Very well seasoned and cooked, rice was good and it also came with a delicious red onion and tomato salad, I enjoyed a lot. Beware the green pepper on the side is as hot as a jalapeƱo!

For appetizers we tried the cigar

I have been here several times and always love it. The atmosphere is unbelievably comfortable, thanks to the large space and soft seats. Especially like the couch the most.

Sometimes they will bring out this huge puffy bread, I think it depends what you order.

What I recommend the most from my visits are the Mediterranean salad (you will get very full on the large), and the kunefe, one of the best desserts ever invented, which is shredded wheat, stuffed with gooey cheese and doused in honey (or syrup?).

If you get meat, I recommend a lamb dish since to me lamb is always tastier at just about

Loved the ambiance here, it was very modern and chic...perfect for any kind of occasion. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly.

For starters, we started with Babaganoush, zucchini pancakes, and grape leaves, my first time trying these dishes. They were tasty but not something I'd order again. My boyfriend and I shared chicken and lamb combination and a small shepard's salad. The lamb was absolutely, mouth droolingly delicious! Probably one of the best lambs I've had. The chicken was flavorful and tender. The shepard's salad was refreshing, but lacked dressing/seasoning

I think that negative reviews are from the competitors. This place is off the hook!!!
Restaurant is very comfortable, it has high ceiling, full of lights and amazing sound system. A hostess welcomed us right after we entered. Servers are very friendly and welcoming. It was out standing they served salads and appetizers to our plates. Taste is not something basic, all dishes have their unique taste. Plates are very good size. We got a dessert called kunefe is delicious. I bet you may love this place.
