Honestly? Not a super fan of them but it’s also partially my fault for not combing through the fine lines of the contract.
They will charge you for certain upkeep of the home that clearly should be on the shoulders of maintenance/owner of the home. I had issues with hoards of ants my first summer here and they told me it was my responsibility to clear them out for at least a few weeks before they would jump into action (with an additional charge to me personally for the service). My home is older, insulation isn’t that great, and I’ve never had this issue with other homes I’ve rented-

I have lived in the same place going on 15 + years now.
Little updates to the home. Little not enough to increasing my rent $600.00 a month more then when I moved in.
Kerr properties took over in 2012 they have Almost Double my rent. Clock work
They have increased the rent during this pandemic and are increasing it again! we are still in this pandemic!
This is the only house my 12 year old child has lived in.
I gave a star just to say the above, wish i could give -5 stars.
I changed review per you request
You will continue to raise my rent even during this pandemic.

Absolutely the worst management company in Portland. Do not rent from them. They do not work well with tenets if at all. They are only in it for their own interests and somewhat of the owners interest. They demand a lot, they communicate poorly, their properties are poorly maintained and they expect the renters to do the repairs. Cheap rent but in the long run you are paying for so much more in maintenance fees.

Right along with the other 1stars, this is a horrible property to rent from. They don't repair property until they want to. The ladies in the office speak to people rudely, they have been known to discriminate against people. The list goes on. I've had personal experience with these people and I would NEVER RENT FROM THEM.

Kerr Properties, Inc. has managed several properties for us for over 15 years. All of the staff have been very responsive to our needs.
We've been well informed if repairs have been needed on our properties and for repairs exceeding the dollar amount approved in the Management Agreement estimates have been provided for our approval and the work has been always been attended to in a timely manner with Sean or Julian keeping a constant check on work orders issued.
Our monthly statements are clear and concise but if we've had any questions at all Sean or Niki have always taken the time to answer

Does anyone believe that dozens of negative reviewers across multiple sites reporting Kerr’s questionable business practices are lying, and only W. Sean Kerr and a few of his associates are telling the truth?

Sean Kerr to respond to any of Kerr's myriad negative reviews, and that none of his responses mention a single action taken to remedy the widely reported lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by Sean and his staff.

I do not recommend this business for tenants/ renters. In my experience they are not welcoming nor are they very helpful overall. I would get contradictory information from the phone reception amd application email respondent. There is a required pet screening fee from there 3rd party provider, it is not known of the fee until you are within the 3rd party's portal. The unit I self viewed was filthy both inside and out. I am surprised at the positive by the property owners if this is how they "maimtain" their properties. Having the office manager finally calling me back she was still unable to confirm
