Global Garden is an International Seattle Preschool currently located in Ballard established in 2002. Tours for our Ballard location are available on a limited basis and only scheduled after a phone conversation with the School Director or Head of the Board. Global Garden Preschool is proud to be a community teaching partner with the University of Washington.

Services
Our philosophy is founded in sound practice for helping to educate young children. We believe that each child is a unique and capable individual. Each child has their own strengths and growth areas, and all children inherently possess a curiosity and natural desire to learn. Our spacious airy classroom is filled with natural light, plants, lovely wood tables and chairs, and a tree fort made of natural wood.
Children in this class are 2 years to 3 years of age. We do not require children to be potty-trained to attend. When children are close to three years of age they may move into the preschool class. Attending Toddler class helps with a smooth transition into the larger preschool classroom. This is a fun and gentle way for young children to be introduced into a school setting.
Social and Emotional Intelligence is the focus of our program. Academics are learned in an appropriate way. We firmly believe that there is a time to be a child and a time to be a scholar. Children in our program are prepared for Kindergarten when they leave and attend some of the top public and private schools in Seattle.

My son (4) is doing his Pre-K year here. We love it. We aren't a bilingual family, but he's learning a ton of both Spanish and Chinese. But more than language and cultural diversity, I love the school philosophy of free play, lots of outside time, helping kids skill-build and foxisont on social emotional growth. We also love the multi-aged class. Very pleased with communication and teachers. Great kid-adult ratio and happy they now offer after care too!
