Nursing homes are rated from 1-5 stars based on health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. According to CMS, a rating of four stars means that quality is "above average."
Our nurses work with the client's family to create a comfortable environment including simple routines and visual cues as a positive substitute for diminishing mental processes. Our experienced nurses provide help with all aspects of managing diabetes including: blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration and tracking, exercise plan, menu planning, education and more.

I came when I had a heart attack, and spent several years here. The staff was very helpful and courteous, they always went out of their way to help the patients out. My mom is back in Cottonwood after a 6 year hiatus w no major falls. On Christmas Eve my 93 yo Mom fell into a wall and pile of hard cardboard boxes. She was rushed to Emergency surgery on Christmas Day for 2 broke/fractured hips. Through the grace of God, she made it through surgery. She had various complications coming out of it, i.e.: blood transfusion, low potassium etc
After 2 weeks in the CCU she was transferred to Cottonwood Canyon. I requested she be transferred there to begin physical therapy. I SAID I SENT HER THERE ON PURPOSE, as it is literally the BEST FACILITY in east county. This

My grandmother was a patient at Cottonwood Canyon For around 2 months she had a great experience, nurses were great and they have the best physical therapy team. Of the past for skilled nursing facilities that I’ve been in over the years by far Cottonwood Canyon has been above and beyond professional in dealing with my situation by having adequate care the best CNA is around the best administration around that I’ve experienced without them I wouldn’t heal as well as I have and this is a very serious issue and I’m blessed to be in a place like this although places like this are very difficult for the staff to maintain And Cottonwood Canyon has been doing the best that I’ve seen from the four facilities that I’ve been at from admissions to transitioning

The facility is very clean, the staff is incredibly nice and professional and take their duties very seriously. Patients are generally happy being here during their rehabilitation and the care provided is top notch! Highly recommend for any loved ones in need of skilled nursing in East County San Diego

Cottonwood is a very good highly recommended sylheti they are busy constantly on the floor or on the computers doing their jobs,attending to the patience,they have their hands full... They have giving me care and respect time i& time again.discussing the case managementplain, pain management, referrals ,expertise specialist, the list goes on.. if you make the time to approach them in their busy schedule they will stop and listen to you. Cottonwood Canyon Healthcare is a nursing home. In a word, how does one rate a 5 Star nursing home. When one considers all the areas of service that matters, Cottonwood Canyon is more like a 25 Star nursing home with 5 Stars in each: Nursing and Patient Care, Special Therapy and Social Services, Food Service, Housekeeping and Building Maintenance.

They lied and told me that they would take good care of my Uncle. They over medicated him after I told them to take him off that med. (legally I can) they kept on and he ended up back in the hospital the next day! IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE THAT NEEDS CARE, this is not the place! He is now off that Med and in a different place and doing so much better!
