Kent Newton has been in the hair industry for over 27 years. Prior to opening his own salon, Kent was a senior stylist, salon manager, and education director at two of Boston's finest Newbury Street salons - James Joseph Salon and Salon Mario Russo. Kent seeks to style hair to enhance the natural beauty of each client of any age.

6/16/21 Receptionist was courteous and offered me water. I was exactly on time for the appointment, but was kept waiting 15 minutes. Jamie looked genuinely disappointed upon meeting me, was dismissive, spoke to me only when necessary, and said basically nothing when cutting my hair. He never said goodbye, thank you after finishing the haircut, nothing. I wasn't expecting to become best friends, but Jamie's demeanor was bordering on rude. The haircut was fine, but he did miss some hairs on the left side of my neck. When I told my fiancé how much Jamie charged for a haircut (not including tip),

The team at Kent Newton Salon is so professional. I love my haircut, hair color, and blowout every time I go. I like to go lighter in the summer, and warmer/darker in the winter, and the transition of color always turns out great. Highly recommend!

I could not be happier with Kent Newton Salon. The atmosphere is professional, trendy and inviting. Garrion at Kent Newton Salon is amazing! I get so excited for my hair appointments and the fact I get to see him and the great team he works with. I always leave there after an appointment worth Garrion feeling my best! Absolutely best experience coming to Kent Newton Salon . I followed Garrion from a previous salon and he certainly did not disappoint . Everyone was incredibly sweet and attentive . With COVID going around , the salon was very clean and they were very mindful with social distancing. I will recommend anyone who is currently looking for a salon to come check Kent Newton Salon .

I have been going to the Kent Newton Salon since the day it opened. I followed Kent and his crew from their previous salon. Kent runs a wonderful business and he is highly respected in the community. This respect brings some of the Boston areas most talented stylists to the salon. I love sitting in the salon and observing the creativity and super happy customers whether it is a new look, color, a blow out or just the regular. When I moved to Boston from New York two years ago, I needed to find a new salon and stylist. With my workplace around the corner, I decided to give Kent Newton Salon a shot and was referred to Christina for a consult to address my hair needs. I instantly knew she just "got" it, and she's been my girl ever since. I like my blonde a certain way, and Christina nails it everytime time while maintaining the integrity of my hair and keeping me smiling the whole appointment!

Kent newton salon is amazing . I have gone in several times for a blow dry and other services. Kent supports local artists by also having a rotating exhibit in the salon . If I could give a 6 star I would . I highly recommend the salon .

Been coming here for years now, always with Amanda. The atmosphere is great, everyone is super nice, and Amanda is really good at what she does. She's done anything from color to simple trims on me and I know I wan always trust her with my hair. Not to mention the head massages she gives while washing my hair and sublime. I love the rotating artwork they have going on there, too! You can actually purchase what they have up, if you feel like it, and it adds a great bit o visual appeal to the place.
