Buying or selling a Louisville, Shelbyville, Mount Washington, Crestwood or surrounding areas home, condo, or commercial building can be one of the most rewarding dealings made in a lifetime. Yet no matter how attractive a property may seem on the surface; achieving a complete understanding of its actual structural condition before making an investment is crucial to the protection and security of your investment.
Due to the fact that a buyer or seller has already put in a significant amount of money into the process, why is hiring an independent inspector a wise choice? As mentioned above it is important so that one can make a more accurate assessment of the property and understand where improvements need to be made.

I hired him to inspect a home I was purchasing. He failed to mention the gas furnace was blowing gas inside the home, he did not check the bathtub in the basement for leaks. He did not list the missing and exterior damage to the chimney either I tried to contact him about the issues he didnt report, he ignored me. I contacted the BBB he treated to due me with an attorney that is not even licensed in the state of Kentucky to practice law. I filed a complaint with the Attorney general office and he refused to reply to them. I would not hire him. I have spent 14,000 in repairs for a poor inspection

Simmie Butler did an outstanding job! He charged a reasonable fee compared with other companies that I called. The additional fees for the termite inspection and radon test were minimal! His report was extremely detailed and full of photos. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the inspection and the work he did!

It seems like there is two kinds of inspectors out there and I've had experiences with both, the first kind is one that does an inspection in order to get the house sold and they are not looking out for the buyers interest, they simply come in and create an inspection that will provide a smooth sale. Then there is the kind that actually has the buyers interest in mind and that is exactly what you will get Butler Home Inspection. Simmie did an outstanding job and was very thorough, I'm very pleased with the service and would recommend him a thousand times over. Thank you for a quality inspection

Thank you so much! My inspection on my home was done very throughly and in a timely manner. He took his time and done the job right. I couldn't have asked for better service from anyone. He even emailed me a copy of the report. He done a walk through with my husband and I along with the home owners and let us all know what needed to be done and where. I would recommend him to anyone, as he done a wonderful job and is reasonably priced! Thank you Simmie!

He's not worth it, stay away!!!
He inspected my relatives house and did not identify the damage on the floor. Some of the floor was damaged with water and the damage was covered with a rug. He did not even bother to lift the rug & look underneath. He was not even able to operate household appliances and check if they were in good working order. He could not turn the water heater on, he could not turn the fire place on and he did not even know where the HVAC kill switch was. My relatives had to call the seller and have him come over to show him how to do these things. Still he acts like he's a

Absolutely loved him. He did a great job expecting our house. He took his time and did everything past my expectations. His report was to me withing 24 hours and he even explained everything to me after he had inspected my house. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is needing their house inspected.

Butler Home Inspections performed the required home inspection on our new home in July of 2012 which we purchased the following month. Upon inspection I was told the ventilation on my home was good and in working order. A few months ago I realized my turbines were not spinning. I contacted 3 different companies who came and quoted the job on changing my turbines. Once I was able to get them changed the contractor let me know 1st, the turbine in question was broken and 2nd it had a huge plastic and metal covering on the inside of the attic covering up the whole. This has caused lack of ventilation
