After working as a fireman and paramedic for 16 years, I have shifted my focus from intervention to prevention, where I can help my clients use fitness to feel better both physically and emotionally. My main focus is about correcting form and balancing integrated movements with strength training to help clients feel successful in everything they do from handling life's everyday tasks to excelling in interactive sports.

I am licensed as a physical therapist assistant and certified by NASM as a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist. I also hold certifications in nutrition, stretching, pre- and post-natal care, mobility, and cardio kickboxing. When deciding on whether or not to work with a trainer consider the following reasons in your decision making process.
Services
I am a private health and fitness coach with over 9 years experience specializing in personal training with a focus on strength, conditioning, and mobility. I do virtual sessions and in person sessions traveling to clients inside of the Bend area. Sessions can be done within your home or at gym or even outdoors near your location.

Michael is a great personal trainer, and I could not recommend him more highly. He is knowledgable, effective, professional and kind. I have worked with him over the course of several years, and he has taught me how to increase my strength, flexibility and overall fitness while mitigating the risk of getting injured. Thank you, Michael!

Michael is a terrific fitness coach / personal trainer, I've trained with him for many years now and he's really helped my middle aged body stay functional, particularly avoiding the major back pain I experienced before training with him. Great guy as well, highest recommendation!

I have been working with Michael for the better part of a year and I would recommend him to anybody (regardless of your particular fitness goals). Michael is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and detailed, and does a great job of (1) tailoring a workout plan for you and (2) explaining the science behind the approach -- beginning with the most basic movements and working up to more complex/applied exercises. I have worked with several other personal trainers in the past but have enjoyed working with Michael the most.

I didn't think I would stick with personal training for years. But I did atfer I started working with Michael. It has been a great experience and a great investment. I started out at a small studio, Everyday Athlete, which had a wonderful atmosphere and a holistic approach with emphasis on functional training. When they moved to their other site in Brooklyn Heights, I started training with Michael at a bigger gym, Elite Fitness. Amazingly it worked just as well, because even in a busy gym he is so focused and organized, he somehow gets you to focus and the next thing you know you just got

It's not an exaggeration to say that Michael has changed my life. At 53 I'm in better shape than I've been in years, stronger, more energetic, less prone to moodiness and overall more conscious of my body (and what goes into it). I really enjoy my sessions, too, and not because they're easy - Michael pushes me hard and keeps me honest (while knowing my limits). I really like his holistic approach to training, which goes beyond the obvious strength/aerobic workout and takes into account flexibility, balance and posture as well. I learn something from him almost every session

I have been training with Michael for 3 years, and it has been great. Although I am 3 years older now, I feel stronger and healthier than before. After many years without playing soccer, 2+ years ago I joined a team that plays once a week. On my first matches I felt totally off, my balance was off, I would sometime step too strong and hurt my heel, get tired quickly etc. When I told Michael about my soccer struggles, he adapted our training sessions to help me with my new challenges. He would bring in a soccer ball to our sessions and prepare some drills, we even trained outdoors when the weather
