We are a pet friendly apartment community! We are pleased to accept cats and dogs. The following non-traditional pets ARE allowed: Turtles, Non-poisonous frogs, Domestic hamsters, Hermit crabs, Gerbils, Small domesticated birds, and Domestic fish. Fees for these non-traditional acceptable pets may vary if applicable.

These apartments are really nice, and in a great location. We had some smoke issues with the unit upon moving in, but the management has been taking every action to make the situation right. Through the problems we have had, their maintenance workers Otto and Orlando have been godsends, happy to fix and replace any issues we have had with the unit. Their hard work and happy-go-lucky attitudes have been refreshing through this whole experience, and they are priceless assets to the apartment complex.

Do not go to this place. The third party company managing the property is extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment for which I drove an hour and although I asked several times if anyone will be there for the showing they confirmed and said I can even do a self guided tour, once I arrived there was no one at the office and when I called the call line they said they cannot help me even with the self-guided tour until the next day. This is a terrible experience! Imagine if the showing is this big of a problem how they are managing the property!

I moved into one of their Waterfront apartments (at 321 1st Street - I moved into an apartment that I was led to believe was a townhouse) in October 2020 and frankly, it has been a nighmare ever since I move in. Now, I have agreed with them to terminate the lease contract early.
i) some apartments are advertised as "townhouses" yet, they have an apartment above and, a studio apartment below the bedroom. Don't fall into a trap of thinking you are moving into a townhouse.

If you rent here talk to Sarina. Sarina gets things done. She will answer your questions. She is the best thing about Theater Square. Before my dad passed away I was living in another state taking care of him, but she went above and beyond and got me on my partner’s lease. She gave me one less thing to worry about in a bad time in my life. We need more people like Sarina in this world.

After some back and forth, we finally had some good communication regarding the issues I was having. Although the noise issues are blatant and persistent, it is out of the control of the property management company and is simply a matter of the location of my apartment in conjunction with the schedule the city had made for trash pickup. The charge issues have been resolved and I am grateful for the response from management despite some roadblocks along the way.

So, I've never reviewed an apartment community on Yelp! before. I feel it was time for a first when it came time to make a necessary move back to Sacramento to be closer to family for helping with their needs. We moved into Theatre Square in February of 2017. Adam Pickens, the community manager, helped us get smoothly settled. I kid you not, the community had three management companies to run the place over the almost four years we resided there (all of which were great). I would say that most apartment communities have multiple companies managing them over the years, and it's a refining

I recently moved into Theatre Square Apartments and am loving living here thus far! The staff and fellow tenants are friendly and helpful, and the location is amazing! I live right on the Petaluma River and walking distance from shops, restaurants, hiking trails and the outlets! My apartment is cozy with great views. Sirina and Adam have been extremely kind, helpful and accommodating and I appreciate everything they haver done to welcome me into my new home! Am thrilled to be a part of the community here and to call Theatre Square my home.

I just moved into the Theatre Square Apartments and am thrilled with this choice. Sarina has been an amazing leasing agent to work with. She has gone above and beyond to make sure I found the right apartment and had a successful move-in experience. Moving during a pandemic can be tricky, but Sarina stayed on the phone with me (many times) while emailing me photos and answering all my questions. She is so positive and supportive I couldn't believe all the help I was getting as just a potential resident. I can't thank her enough!

Been here for about two weeks and place is great ... quite , clean and everyone seems great so far, everything you'd need is either walking distance or about 15mins away very convenient location

The price is high for these apartments without a doubt. Could probably offer some form of deal for a gym membership with one of the many surrounding gyms to make the high rent worth it. The office people are pleasant enough, but the Maintance guys (Otto and Orlando) are the absolute best!! They are professional, extremely responsive, and do great work. They get things done quickly and with quality work, it’s always a pleasure to see them around the complex.

My fiance and I just recently moved into Thearre Square and have enjoyed it so far! Sarina has been so helpful and communicative with us and we've really appreciated that during COVID. Upon moving in we noticed some small apartment flaws that were fixed only one day after placing a work order. The walkability of the apartments and having a parking garage across the street is 10/10.

This is the best apartments in Petaluma or the North Bay by far. A 92 walk score, restaurants at your door, grocery store nearby, farmers market every Thursday!
The icing on the cake is the people that work there. Sarina has gone above and beyond on helping me get the loft of my dreams. She is the best leasing agent/apartment manager I have ever worked with.

We couldn’t take the other tenants smoking and talking in front of our window all hours of the night. Adam Pickens did nothing to help. They ended up evicting the unit after we gave our notice but we still had to pay. Buyer beware. It is the units that are listed at 265 First St. UPDATE now after i'm gone they are offering to help by replying to my review. BE AWARE DON'T RENT HERE

My two teenage children were recently evacuated from the fires in Santa Rosa so I had them go to my apartment in Theatre Square. They have a key to my apartment and know the keypad code to get in the main door, but management removed the keypad without informing me. I was away on business and the kids called to say that they couldn't get inside. Luckily I called a neighbor who let them in.
I emailed Adam Pickens that evening, and again the next morning to get them an additional key fab so that they are not trapped in the building. I got no response and left multiple messages. At 4pm the following

I'll start off by saying that the apartment complex is located in a great location within walking distance to all of the restaurants, shops and cafes. It is one of the only apartment complexes that is so close to downtown. The apartments are also up to date and they recently painted the interior hallway walls and changed the hallway carpet.
The reason I am giving them four stars is because the property management is somewhat non existent. When we would have something broken in the apartment it could take up to two weeks to get it fixed or they wouldn't respond to our calls. They were getting better

Property management at Theatre Square apartments leaves much to be desired. There have been ongoing security and maintenance issues since I moved to the Waterfront building in August, 2016. An over abundance of garbage and other debris was allowed to collect in the enclosed stairwell, along with homeless persons sleeping under the stairs. This was finally resolved months later, after corporate headquarters was contacted. Although the air conditioning initially worked fine, the power to my condensor unit was mysteriously disconnected on the hottest day of 2017. I was told that this was not an emergency
