Dr. Heather Shuey graduated from Kansas State Veterinary School in 1999 and has been practicing in the Kansas City area ever since. She has held the position of assistant Veterinarian in several practices and was medical director at one clinic. She realized her dream in 2017 when she purchased a mobile clinic from LaBoit, the company who customizes the E-450 Ford trucks into mobile clinics personalized to the veterinarian's requirements.
Pet Calls Mobile Veterinary Clinic provides nurturing mobile veterinary services. Our professional, dedicated, and efficient staff provides expert veterinary care with an emphasis on a gentle touch. We always utilize unmatched safety, sterilization practices and take a conservative approach, doing everything in our power to provide quick and painless treatments.
Dr. Heather Shuey is a graduate of Kansas State University and has been practicing in the Kansas City area since 1999. She has served as an Associate Veterinarian in several practices and was a Medical director for a large Veterinary Hospital. While she loved clinic work, she wanted to help people outside the clinic setting as well.

Love the service this vet offered us. My cat was dieing from a failing kidney and dehydration. I had called mustiple vets and mobile vets all day and no one would answer or fit me in to have my cat put down.
The moment I called here. The receptionist was kind, understanding and promt. She called us back when no others would.
The vet came within thirty minutes or less. She was kind and compassionate and professional. She agreed with putting the cat down and explained why when other vets would not. I would recommend her highly. She offers great service. And walked us through through the process

I highly recommend Dr. Shuey! This was my first experience with her and her mobile vet clinic. Unfortunately I had to euthanize my precious dog. I suspected that before she even came. She was very compassionate and did a quick examination and unfortunately verified my thoughts. She was very kind and didn't rush me and my decision. She was very gentle with my precious girl and gave me time to say goodbye.

I had the good fortune to contact this wonderful mobile vet with her expertise for caring for and diagnosing my two cats and two dogs. Dr Heather Shuey is phenomenal. She always finds time to fit us in. My pets love her. She is extremely kind, gentle, and professional with each pet and she really has a good heart. Dr Shuey is so experienced. I was so sure my cat had a terrible disease and Dr Shuey examined her and discovered it was an allergy reaction causing her scary looking rashy bald spots which had her itching up a storm. My dog had a bunch of fur coming from one of her ears and Dr Shuey strategically

I contacted Pet Calls at the recommendation of my vets office (I will be calling my vets office and HIGHLY recommending they do not refer this place any longer). Upon calling to schedule an in home pet euthanasia, the woman who answered the phone was very rude, had an attitude and ZERO compassion. When calling to discuss and schedule an appointment to euthanize a beloved pet the LEAST you can expect is the person handling the call to be nice and compassionate. This is a hard enough experience. I contacted another company for an in home pet euthanasia and they were VERY compassionate and sympathetic

I was extremely fortunate to be referred to Dr. Heather Shuey's company Pet Calls. She handled the euthanasia of a beloved pet with care, concern, and love. I was struck by her professionalism and her clearly highly ethical character in her practice. She made what was a terrible moment for me about as good as it could have been and I feel very blessed to have had her visit. I recommend her very highly.

To have a mobile vet as caring, compassionate and knowledgeable as Dr. Shuey means the world to me here personally and for my furbabies of Valle d'Aspe Great Pyrenees, show great pyrenees. A great deal of the stress and/or anxiety that comes with having to take a sick pet for a drive to a clinic is now non-existent. Having Dr. Shuey make house calls is so much more personal, and a lot easier on my dogs. Great professional care, personal attention, less stress on the dogs......5 stars to say the least.
