Iain Findlay was an excellent inspector. He covered all the bases explaining things all along the way. His report was easy to understand and very thorough. He took pictures all along the way, including the roof, so we were able to see exactly what he was talking about.

I hired Iain for 2 inspections (pre-drywall & final walk-thru) on a new construction home. The inspections took place a few months ago and I have since closed on the home. Many of the problems that I pointed out o Iain were disregarded and he simply stated that they weren't fixable items in his opinion. After elevating my concerns with the builder, I am finally now receiving resolution for numerous problems with the home that my inspector either did not catch or disregarded. I would not use anyone except Iain with The Inspection People as he is the best of the best and he did a super job in inspecting my new home I am buying. I am totally satisfied and fortunate to have known about Iain!!!

Iain, you are correct that you refunded the inspection cost due to your mistake. You acknowledge that you made a mistake by that refund. You however have not done the right thing and refunded the money that we are out on the water heater (which is over $1800). Your over sight of the safety to this home and our family regarding the gas to the water heater was a cost that we as a home buyer could have asked the sellers to remedy before the purchase of this home.
