At the end of the day, what's a great hotel but a place where you feel at home, well-tended, amused, connected, comfortable and above all, at ease? It's a place full of commerce, culture and New York characters. We think that makes it special and at The Nolitan Hotel. It's our job to connect our guests to this magnificent place.

My favorite hotel in New York City. Amazing location, cool young staff, very attentive. Cool vibey lobby great for hanging out or chilling. Rooms are pretty small but well designed and very modern and sleek. The neighborhood is great but can get very noisy with trucks and sirens late night or early morning. Stayed here 4 times and can’t wait to be back next year!

For complete transparency, I have copied one of the same messages that I wrote to the general manager below. The situation that took place was more important for me to address as a personal matter, than to write a public review. However, after multiple attempts to communicate with this hotel, there has been no response and here I am months later bringing this public to help someone else to not fall victim as this could've been worse.
Hello Mr. Bogdan,
The situation should not be overlooked as the outcome to the events could have ended differently.
Below is a synopsis of what took place

Front desk , Jason’s attitude, was totally unacceptable and disgusting. I stayed here many times in the past but will never stay here again. I was treated with no respect and he was giving me a lecture on how their rate guarantee meant as he was doing me a huge favor. He was even encouraging me to cancel the reservation as a threat since I would be penalized for a night stay if I cancel. If this hotel is going to keep their supposedly 4-star rating and expect repeat customers, they need to better train their front desk staff to be polite and follow their policies. With Jason’s disgusting attitude

Found it to not be as good as others make it look... during check-in the registration guy got impatient with my wife's inquiries, and then she got impatient too... not good... then, the room ceiling light did not work... plus the room heating did not work either... best they did was bring a space heater... i will not come back here, much rather go to public hotel... had a great experience there during the summer

Stayed here 3 nights with my sister. Nice location and *looks* cool, but that's about it. The shower and floor tiles were cracking, the grout discolored and crumbling, the soap holders rusted, the water collected by the shower door and flooded the floor constantly, the sink spout had black stuff drizzling out of it from a never-cleaned, neglected aerator. The fan blades were dusty, there was no coffee maker or kettle, no hooks or bars for hanging ANYTHING (including wet towels, which we ended up drying on the TV), filthy rugs giving me no confidence in the cleanliness of the fabric headboards,

Currently tying to write a review actually sitting in the Nolitan and the internet is so slow it is taking a while. The room I booked was not at all what was expected. Don't get fooled by the pictures. Also, really don't appreciate getting overcharged for double the charges, trying to charge more than one credit card, and the lack of responses from the front desk staff on email confirmations. Oh, and the "we will have treats for your pet when you stay?" nope, that doesn't happen. Don't stay here, go to the Ludlow Hotel. Don't waste your money.

Clean, nice staff, but extremely small! The balcony is too small to enjoy, felt like we were going to fall! The room isn't sound proof, there was a lot of noise coming in from outside. The telephone didn't work, and the curtains aren't blackout. There is a small (warm) refrigerator in the room, but no microwave due to Covid.

The hotel condition is OK, the location is great for walking to Chinatown, Little Italy and an assortment of shops and restaurants.
The "on request" housekeeping left something to be desired, however. I had to ask on two consecutive mornings for them to change the linen that originally had been paired with feather down pillows (which they did remove upon request) . The first linen request went ignored after my first night there, leaving me congested again after the second night's sleep. They finally changed it out for my third night. World of difference.

My stay was special for personal reasons. I enjoyed spending time and drenching myself in self care. The room was comfortable and ascetically stimulating. The view of midtown was breathtaking.
However, the room was dusty and I had to use my lent roller to clean the chair. I also saw a few bugs crawling on the floor near the door. I would recommend management invest more in cleaning.
Also, I was unaware of the hotel service fee and didn’t receive my full deposit back. I called days after I checked out to inquire about the charge. The nice lady at the front desk explained the charge and apologized

I came here for valentines day with my girlfriend and we stayed from the 14th-16th. Firstly, I just want to give a big SHOUTOUT to Jason for making the booking process smooth and easy. He was amazing at helping me plan out this excellent Valentine's day weekend. When booking, I got the romance package which came with a bottle of champagne (Prosecco), chocolate strawberries, and flowers leading to the bed saying "I love you". We had excellent timing so the room would be ready and the champagne would still be cold. The hotel room is alittle on the small side but extremely cozy. It

The front desk staff clearly needs to be retrained. We called ahead for early check in and when we arrived we told our room wasn't ready. We came back at normal check in time and the room still wasn't ready. They were rude with any questions we had. And finally when it came time to check out the staff doesn't know how to work the computer system and rather than explain to me what's going on while holding my money in his hand he's talking to he person next to him and got mad when I asked what was going on. The rooms were spacious but the whole experience was ruined by the

Manager that was on the job was rude. It felt unwelcoming. Understand about covid but if we're checking out at 11 but want to grab breakfast where do we put our luggage? Been to a hotel in Philly called the Kimpton as well as the Rockaway hotel all during covid and they checked in our luggage.
They should put this in the disclaimer before you book a hotel room.
We also asked for a high room but were given a small corner room on the second floor that looked like a college dorm. And she didn't let us know only after she ran through our card.
They did upgrade us only after we complained

Have stayed here many times. Usually book here or 2 others nearby depending on price that weekend (our damages for 2 nights were only $480).
We like the location.
Staffing is good. Of course you will be in a very small but efficient "modern" room.
Have a free happy hour every night which is lively (we were out those times). They have gratis continental breakfast every morning - coffee, juices, fruit, and some pastries. Not gourmet but you save quite a few $s compared to nearby eateries. However, the eating area can be quite packed.
Overall a good lodging although we had a burned out

Fabulous hotel. Great staff, happy hour for guests, and muffins/coffee in the morning. It had a very boutique feel in the heart of NoLita, close to little Italy and Chinatown, tons of great restaurants near by. The room was clean and bright, but a bit small. We had a corner room, recommended. Bathroom is a little awkward but they have made good use of space. Recommend!

I wish I could add another row of five more pretty red stars, because these people hit it out of the park. Far, far beyond my expectations. I just can't say enough good things about the Nolitan, but I'm about to try.
First, they rescued us from being left "homeless" by an AirBnB host who wouldn't address a door that threatened to lock us out if we left the apartment. Sherieka was wonderful on the phone and offered us a better rate than Trivago.com. Once we got there, they let us check in early, gave us an orientation to the neighborhood, and proceeded to generally treat

Location, location, location!
Outstanding breakfast? Literally right around the corner (Egg Shop).
Outstanding matcha latte? 2 blocks away (Cha-Cha Matcha).
Outstanding cafe? One block over (Cafe Grumpy).
Outstanding Mexican restaurant? 3 blocks away (La Esquina, bottom floor).
I wanted a room w a view, & boy did I get one! I could see the Empire State Building from my bathtub!
Corner unit, top floor. It's a nice size; large by NYC standards. Very hip & modern. The Nolitan wins for location (Little Italy), concierge (Gustavo, who was fabulous), & mini bar/snack

Very nice Hotel very clean with very friendly staff in a great location. Just too bad that the neighbors drank too much and came back to have a fight and him lock her out of the room with her crying in the hall and knocking on his door. We did`t get too much sleep that night thank goodness the checked out and was`t there for our second night.

I stayed here for a business trip and unfortunately we were only here for about 12 hours, but I would definitely come back. The customer service was amazing! The front desk staff were very quick, friendly and funny when we checked in and out. After we checked out, I hung out in the lobby to do work for a couple hours. The manager was so helpful- he took my bag so I didn't have to worry about it if I needed to run somewhere and he also checked in occasionally to make sure I was doing good.
There were little touches that made my stay stand out. When I first got to the room, music was playing

For the price you can't beat the Nolitan.
Overall impression: hip, modern, quiet.
SUPER-friendly service from the moment we walked in. Nice touches: sexy sunken parlour room in the lobby has tons of board games, daily papers and coffee-table books, perfect for lounging if it rains or whatever. Cold lemon-water dispenser and free self-serve popcorn in the lobby were also appreciated :)
Room was small (but that's NYC for ya) but very clean and modern, with a see-through shower, viewable from bed ;) and a balcony too (I smoke so this was great).
Walk north from here on Mott, Elizabeth
