In fact, modern editions of these original rooms are still in use!

Our luxury Las Vegas hotel rooms blend historic and contemporary styling to bring you a stay that's unique to the hotel that started it all. Enjoy Art Deco accents, Swing era-inspired interior design, and modern amenities (plus an iconic celebrity here and there).

Catch a game or kick back and relax at our newest amenity Circa Stadium Swim at Circa Resort. As part of your daily resort fee, guests 21 and older receive exclusive priority access from 8AM - 9AM.
Stay "where the past meets the future and where the Las Vegas experience is very much alive and well." Our standard guest rooms are decorated with modern design alongside vintage themes of Las Vegas' historic style. Each standard room features a top-of-the-line Serta pillow-top mattress, a 32-inch HD flat-screen TV, Bath and Body Works personal products to make your room feel like a true getaway.
Elegance and rich vintage Vegas style encompass two luxurious penthouses ready for you to relax, play, and entertain. 115 years old but remodeled. Need a fan in the room for white noise. Bed was comfy and good TV. I would stay again!

At this place, you'll enjoy the vibe on the Fremont Street right behind the hotel. The price is reasonable, too, and the hotel is almost closer to everything around.

Rooms are small, as advertised, almost too small but the deep bathtubs, good water pressure, large closet and windows that open up for fresh air, make up for smaller size room.

Pricing is great, best when you book mid week... on the phone customer service is great but the dealers leave something to be desired at the tables. In fact, it almost too rigid and strict with zero tolerance for newbie mistakes, so you better know how to play your tables beforehand, and lastly, there is no restaurant, not that I have seen yet and somewhat poor cocktail service.

But you get what you pay for, so overall

Well to start the reservation process was screwed. I paid for our room on a third party app called Hopper. Only thing I was responsible for paying upon arrival was the resort fee of 31.64 a day for two nights, and the refundable 100 dollar deposit. Well they charged me for the room for two nights (which was already paid for confirmation in hand at desk), some other ridiculous fees, that basically totaled up to 265 bucks. The manager and staff were nice about it and tried to reassure me that third party vendors don't pay right away. I'm trying to explain the money had been taken out of

I saw everyone complaining about how small the room is BUT it was built in 1906 and is a historical site 🙄 so it's quaint. I personally found it nice! BUT I did not like that there were very little power outlets and the a/c? in December is a no go. It blows warm in the winter and cool in the summer which is a bummer because I am fat and sleep in the cold but either than that the staff is amazing and the hotel is nice even being old...

Love it, awesome high energy atmosphere and like all of Derrick Steven's casinos there are pretty dealers dancing above the crowd when they aren't dealing.

We had reservations for tonight and three nights following. We have a service dog for my necessity to stay calm. We had called in advance to confirm dog friendly. When we arrived we were refused our reservations . We had to hustle to find other accommodations - which we were admitted with a better room , better price and friendly welcome at Golden Nugget.
We have stayed and gambled at the. Golden Gate for plus of 30 years- never again! DO NOT RECOMMEND GOLDEN GATE CASINO and HOTEL!

Things that attracted us:
Use of Circa and The D amenities
Historical significance
Location
End result:
We booked through an external site, so we forfeited three nights that we prepaid and moved hotels.
Why:
This hotel was not significantly cheaper than others. After the first day, the hotel left us severely disappointed and frustrated. Our experiences could be described in two words - old building. So, set the right expectations for your stay.
Our room did not get over 60° with the heater on. Maintenance was called and the only solution offered was to shut the heater off and ask for extra

Let me preface this by saying this review is for the bar. Luis is a ghetto, ingrate bartender. Yes, I said it.

So I was ordering drinks from the Prohibition bar and the lady and gentleman serving me prior were extremely nice. I was playing Black Jack on the machine so the lady told me drinks were free. Awesome! My friend came by and I ordered her a drink that I knew I had to pay for (a beer).

A little while after I decided to order a drink for myself, which is typically complimentary. He charged me because he said I wasn't playing "max bet." Wow. I have never EVER been at a casino

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your place. This website will compare thousands of hotel sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you won't regret it.
Enjoying our stay. My casino host, Carolina is the best! I love the games and friendly atmosphere

Such a nice staff. We had a problem at another hotel and Golden Gate was very accommodating. We plan on staying there again. Ate at the Cornerstone steak house. It was awesome. Jeff the bartender is awesome. Very nice staff.

I stayed there for my birthday so I was expecting much more the rooms are very small and especially the bathroom when you open the door it hits the toilet seat and it makes a huge noise and they didn't have much tv channels and the windows are so small and they shake from all the music and it's hard to make the water temperature to your liking

Just had to stay at this classic place once as often as we come to Vegas. Check in was perfect. Room is veeeery small but maybe that's how it was in 1906. When you open the bathroom door it hits the toilet. However, I really liked the vibe. Would possibly stay here again and get a suite. Hard to beat the location.

After multiple good trips, I am now in the opinion it is not safe here. After not calling us when our room was ready, they gave us keys to a room that was occupied. My husband does not feel safe with us staying here.

The hotel was a nice hotel with lots of history. The rooms are real small. But in the end the real issue was the hotel had the heat on, you could not get AC, but it was in the low 80’s during the day and at least one of the nights it never got below 70. No choice but to open the windows which meant we got hardly any sleep over the 3 nights we were there due to the noise outside. If they would have just turned the AC on we would have had a great stay.

Absolutely the biggest dump of a casino in vegas, beyond awful arrogant employees that should be fired and zero reasons to go there they should demo it and put it out of its misery!

We came to town for EDC and decided to stay at Golden Gate to be closer to the venue, Fremont, and to save a little on a room.

First off, the room is smaller than most standard master bedrooms. Good luck opening a suitcase AND walking around the bed. The bed, albeit acceptably comfortable, does not even have a decorative bedding. There's a flat sheet, followed by a faux down comforter (white with no duvet) which is also covered by another flat white sheet.

Secondly, although we have not found -live- bugs, we did find remnants of cockroaches throughout the room. We also spoke to a couple

If I could give negative stars I would. Needed a clean, quiet room for the night, the room was anything but quiet, the manager on duty did not care, the music coming from the casino floor reverberated through the hotel room, it was impossible to sleep. The manager tried to say it was outside music, there was no band on Fremont street at 3am. Don't stay at this hotel if you need to be able to get some sleep. The lack of caring was horrible, I would've gladly taken another room higher up but the manager would not offer that or a refund when requested. I will never stay at this hotel again

Used to be my favorite blackjack spot but a few months ago they either installed new speakers on the casino floor ceiling or turned the volume way up. Their Fri and Sat night music is way too loud, far above they safe range. Makes your ears ring.

The service was good here but.... When I get the reservation there's an extra service charge per night of 30$ so the room was more like 80$ after tax. We got put right next to the speakers of the place next to us and it didn't stop tell 1 am. The room smelled like smoke but that didn't surprise me. The one thing I absolutely think could have been different is the floor was so dirty and has junk caked in all the cracks of the tile. This to me is just dirty and could definitely be fixed with some cleaning.

We had such an unfortunate experience for my birthday stay. While the location is great, we encountered many issues. Upon arriving to Vegas after a long drive trying to figure out hotel guest parking, the valet attendant sent us away! I did ask about guest parking but why did he send us to a confusing paid parking lot and not offer to valet the vehicle, or offer any other information? Confused, I call the hotel who tells me what I had originally assumed, that valet is free for hotel guests (with tip of course) so we go back. The valet attendant was extraordinarily condescending - I had to ask him

This place is very disappointing. I booked on a Groupon didn't expect anything fancy given it was downtown. My experience was terrible. The manager of the hotel had to end up calling me because no one attempted to call me and after all I put my name on early check in. They said we would call by 2 if you didn't get it earlier. I look at the time it's 4 going on 5 when I received the call... The manager was not understanding at all... she was basically like sorry I can't do anything for you "here's a $25 credit for drinks"which I never received........ they gave

Folks if your looking for a vintage hotel this is your spot! Rooms are extremely small if you are claustrophobic this place is definitely not for you.
Everything is pretty much just old! Housekeeping is phenomenal though.
Paper thin walls neighbors were having a domestic dispute and guests services handed it promptly.
Friendly staff, located super convenient across from fabulous circa! Unfortunately this place was simply to outdated for us.
If your looking to simply lodge and nothing fancy then this is your place unfortunately we like to have space in our room and this just simply didn't

This review is for the casino, not the hotel as I never ventured very far in from Fremont Street.

During our recent stay at the Nugget and getting extremely frustrated with the fact we couldn't get drinks while gaming there IF OUR LIVES DEPENDED ON IT, we took our gaming business to the Golden Gate. Not only were the drinks plentiful, the servers were awesome and the gaming was great. OK, not great but we sure seemed to hit bonuses on the slots at Golden Gate much more that at the Nugget!
