It's the small details that make a Hotel stand out in NYC... though the price range of the rooms are on the high end. It's location alone can save you the headache of transportation costs and getting to popular attractions in the city... 5 stars for the door/security guard offering our friends umbrellas for the short walk to the restaurant we had reservations at. Treating guests of guests with that kind of care is the exact reason we choose this hotel. This place doesn't disappoint. Though not having a bar or way to order drinks while spending time out of the room was a bummer... I understand that

This hotel is a gem in the city! The location cannot be beat with walking to all the attractions but far enough from times square to have a peaceful sleep. The staff was wonderful on our trip over the holidays and I cannot rave enough about how flexible they were with our canceled flight. We woke up to a canceled flight and it was finally re booked the following day which made us move our whole trip one day since it was only a 3 nt reservation and we were traveling from west coast. The towers at Lotte were so kind to move it without a fee and even matched our rate for New Years eve reservation

I mistakenly booked a smaller room than expected. Francesca upgraded us to a larger and beautiful room. It was perfect. The staff was super friendly. Great spot for a cocktail or breakfast too.

Lotte Palace makes Hilton Midtown look like a Motel 8.
This hotel is definitely “old money” five star place as opposed to the more modern luxury hotels. But that was perfect for Christmas time, and will do just fine at any time of year!
The staff was helpful and friendly. Especially the bellmen were top quality.
I was surprised that there was no 24/7 room service, but maybe that’s a COVID thing. The bellmen will run your food delivery orders up to your room, though, so it’s basically the same.
I will say that the view of St. Patrick’s, while stuffing, is non-existent during the night

Unfortunately for the prices they charge the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. In need of some serious renovations, despite being upgraded to a room with free wifi and view which was nice- the toilet and bath were dirty upon arrival. Very outdated controls in the rooms (light switches, no USB ports, old TVs, etc.). Perhaps the most eye-watering was the $45 bagel which would also have $14 delivery fee and 18% gratuity tacked on for room service. Only great thing here is the location, but honestly save your money and stay elsewhere.

We booked this hotel because we read about the wonderful Christmas decorations. The decorations were pretty standard. The main attraction was supposed to be the courtyard tree which they did not do this year. Housekeeping and the Bell service were exceptional. The rooms are very outdated. There are no charging ports. Late night dining isn't available at the hotel and there are extremely limited options nearby.

I usually don't write negative reviews, but I was incredibly disappointed with my recent two day stay on December 9th and 10th, 2021. There was no complimentary bottled water in the room. The mini-bar was not stocked. There were no restaurants open. The room service was terrible. The order was delivered very late with the eggs being cold, the toast being dry and the coffee was horrible. It was $90 for the breakfast, rather ridiculous.

There was a discarded refrigerator in my room which was weird. They were so busy I didn't bother to call to have it removed.

Six months in advance I paid for my room for my wife, 2 kids and myself. The confirmation states very clearly that breakfast was included. Turns out it’s only a $25 credit per day per room. Do they really think 4 people can have breakfast for $25 in their hotel when an orange juice is $12.50?? Besides the rooms are old, carpet is dirty and customer service is terrible. Used to be a great hotel.

After staying at the hotel for over 10 years we had our last stay on Dec 1. We were in a $1500/night suite. The room was dated, worn and worse yet dirty. Sofa was stained, cushions put on wrong, dirty mask in the corner, stain on carpet, one towel in the bathroom, tape on the wall (yuck!), open floor boards with things hanging down. The room was in no shape for guests. We were repeatedly told the manager would contact us. We were given another room however we were charged the full rate for the suite.

This was my first and last stay at this hotel. We were in New York for some Christmas shopping and my husband had stayed here on business before and recommended it. I will say the decorations in the lobby were beautiful and the doorman were nice but that ends the good review. The room felt like a Holiday Inn with minimal, outdated decor. Our floor lamp shade was broken, we were missing a remote control and the light bulb was out over the sink. There were no water bottles, pen, paper, or mini bar available. We ordered coffee the first morning and after waiting an hour I cancelled it. It was probably

Using Palace in the name is false advertising. I used to stay here before the pandemic and it was well run and maintained. Due to an alarm in our room that they couldn't turn off, we had 2 different rooms during our stay. Both rooms were old and dirty. Each had at least 1 light out. My second room had no TV remote. We ordered a pot of coffee (just coffee) and after an hour with no delivery, we cancelled it. Elevators are under construction and staff does nothing to try and better organize the chaos. I waited 20 min for an elevator one morning before taking the stairs (from the 12th floor)

This place is way outside my budget but luckily a great friend treated me to it. It was a lot of fun experiencing for a few nights how the 1% live. With that said I was surprised by the dated nature of the television choices (no Netflix, etc) and the old fashioned food menu (nothing vegan, little if anything gluten free, etc.) I think some modernization would be a good business idea.

Pro-tip: The mattress wasn't comfortable BUT the cot they brought to the room was an A+.

I stayed here last week and was actually amazed at the lack of basic safety measures any hotel should have! The bath tubs are slippery and there is no grab bar. So anyone who is not great at balancing on a slippery surface will have a great fall. They a very lovely staircase but it does not have adequate railings to hold when someone is taking the stairs unless you are looking at rolling down.
This hotel is only for those who are not with frail heart and still has the ability to fall and rise!

I absolutely love this hotel. The location is excellent and the hotel is beautiful. The staff is super attentive and engaging. I cannot thank Miles enough for making my trip seamless. I reached out before my stay and he went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect and ready for my arrival. I wrote a long review on TripAdvisor, and I noticed that it was shortened, so I want to take a minute to recognize how Miles went above and beyond. This will be my go-to hotel in Manhattan. Thanks again for a lovely stay and cannot wait to return.

I've never experienced ruder staff. At one point I requested water because they never kept our room stocked with any. I waited about half an hour then walked downstairs to see what was going on, and the manager rudely told me, "it'll get delivered when it gets delivered." Then another 30 minutes later it was delivered.

Very few outlets worked in our room, the bed felt worn down, and there was a weird -loud- banging noise that would randomly come from the air conditioner at odd hours of the night.

I understand it's a historic place, and there are very beautiful parts

I don't like to complain, but I must share this with everybody. Yesterday morning I was checking out of the Lotte Palace Hotel in New York City. To begin with the hotel was in poor shape, but that is not the point of this post. I was checking out at approximately 5:30 AM. While waiting for the Uber, I decided to go to the ladies room. I asked the concierge, where is the ladies room. She replied it is not open until 7 AM. I looked at her, and first I said you're kidding right? And then I said I just checked out therefore I have no access to my room. She said, that is correct and we cannot

This has been a terrible experience. First of all we got here at 11, our room wasn't ready. We went out and shopped and came back at 4, our room still wasn't ready. Front desk people didn't seem to care at all that it had been over 4 hours and we still had no where to go. We go up to a friends room and see that our room has been cleaned, so WE call the lobby to tell them it looks ready.. they said they haven't talked to
housekeeping. What?!! Why is it MY job to see if my own room is ready? Secondly, the hotel bar is closed, and the gossip girl spots of the hotel are all closed

One of the BESTTTT hotels I've been to hands down!!!! I can't speak any highly of this place. If you're looking for a place that speaks for the money you spend this is it! The service was amazing throughout our entire 3 day stay.

Pros:
Early check in
Late check out
Great recommendations for local spots
Umbrellas to borrow
Robes and slippers
Refrigerator in room
You can leave your luggage at the hotel and pick it up anytime if you haven't checked in yet. They'll take it to your room when it's ready.
Service seemed like 24 hour service
Beds are comfy

We stayed in this hotel for my friends birthday weekend. Customer service was top notch. All the staff members were very polite and helpful. Now can we talk about the view! The view was EVERYTHING!!! You can see the entire city from our hotel room. Everything was super cleaned from the bathroom, to the bed sheets, and towels. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. It deserves more than a five star. Please book this whenever you're in NY, you will not regret it.

The Lotte New York Palace is a first rate operation. My husband and I have stayed at the St Regis as well as the Four Seasons, and The Lotte Palace is just as good. The staff from the door men, bell hops, reception, and especially the concierge's were very helpful. The location is perfect as well. It appears that the NYC insanity has not affected this part of Midtown. Our room was beautiful, and had a very nice view.

Lotte New York Palace Hotel is a luxury hotel in Midtown Manhattan at the corner of 50th Street and Madison Avenue across the street from St. Patrick's Cathedral. In 1882, Henry Villard, a railroad financier, hired McKim, Mead & White, an architectural firm to design the houses in the Italian Neo-Renaissance style after the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome, Italy. In May 2015, Lotte Hotels & Resorts, a South Korea-based owner and operator of luxury hotels, agreed to a deal acquiring the hotel for $805 million.

Great location and service. Beautiful view from our room and great history with the primary structure (which was originally the Willard house that consisted of 6 townhomes built in 1882) The hotel was added in the 70's I believe and the Archdiocese of New York owns the property.
A little pricey for the rooms as well as food and drink there but a great location.
The Houston Astro stayed here (while we here) when playing the Yankees for the division championship.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms (for NYC anyway), fantastic workout facilities, wonderful staff, perfect location, and as much personalized service as you could want.

In 2018, when my mom and I stayed here for her 75th birthday, they were so kind and professional in accommodating all her needs. She is on oxygen and uses both a portable machine and a standing unit for when she is at home. For the latter, obviously she could not transport a unit with her to NYC, but I spoke with the hotel and they rented and provided a unit for her that was waiting in the room when we arrived. Since I was into the Christmas tree binge, I couldn't pass the opportunity of viewing the beautiful Lotte Christmas tree. It's overshadowed by the Rockefeller tree but in my personal opinion it's lovelier.

Inside there are several more trees of different sizes with beautifully decorated staircases.

This place definitely felt like a palace tucked away in midtown. The marble walls, beautiful sculptures throughout the main entrance and adorned chandeliers; the architecture is impeccable.

The bathrooms are kept clean & well stocked. Even the hand towels feel like royalty.
