Checked Yelp for a new local suggestion, read some reviews, online menu and it was settled. Was so many great sounding options we figured it'd be tough to make a decision on what to order. Called for a last minute Friday night reservation and was squeezed in at 5:45. Off to a pretty good start.
Entrance is kind of interesting with a covered deck into a dark vestibule. Sort of a Japanese garden vibe. Unnecessarily dark especially as compared to the interior.
Seated promptly and started feasting on homemade bread that is divine. It's possible we crushed two loaves! Bread was legit

It's been a tough year+ for restaurants and we want to get out and patronize local spots. Some hiccups getting back into the swing of things are to be expected and I want to give some grace... but man, this was a too-weird, subpar experience for the prices they're charging. Slow service and we had to ask for plates with our apps, then ask for silverware. Shrimp cocktail did not seem to be fresh, meatballs were mushy. Part way through the meal I start wheezing and thought maybe something in the food was bothering me. 5 min later my husband says "it's not the food THERE IS A CAT

I really don't give 1 stars but this place is not worth it and I wouldn't go back. There's no real cocktail menu to start. I got a martini which was pretty good but the food was not. We ordered shrimp cocktail and the meatballs for an app. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked and the cocktail sauce was like ketchup. The meatballs had cartilage in it and were mush. My husband and brother in law got a steak with no seasoning or sauce and a massive mound of fries that I sense were frozen from a bag. My sister and I got fish which was alright but it was sort of a weird dish. Desserts

Ember has experienced a rebirth as E2 and it has never been so good. Because it is so large, it's a comfortable place to be during the pandemic.
It's the same beautiful place that it always was, and the food has gotten even better. For a quick simple meal, you can't so wrong with a salad (they are all wonderful) and a pizza. The tiny meatball appetizer is wonderful, and BTW they are not tiny.
We've had the chicken schnitzel, a pork tenderloin special wrapped in bacon with a sun-dried tomato sauce. Both were great. Some of the best fries around.
Haven't had a disappointing

What a great place! I stopped in to pickup takeout and I was impressed by the atmosphere, but really wowed by the service. It is a very high end restaurant that seems down to earth. You might look around and see elegant furnishings but then spy a metal Tasmanian devil holding a bottle of hand sanitizer off in a corner. The staff was efficient, professional, and very friendly.
When I walked out, I thought, "I hope the food is good because I want to come back and dine in after COVID." Well, the food was outstanding! I got the chicken schnitzel, and it was one of the best schnitzels I

For the prices Ember is charging, they have some work to do. We got the feeling the waitstaff turns over frequently, as our waitperson was not ready for prime time,
which was the case last time we came. The tuna was good, what there was of it, but at $38, come on. The sirloin tacos were very dry and super salty. We generally like the place, but it always seems like something is off when we go.

The portions are a joke, the ambiance is pretentious, and the owner/manager is arrogant and unhelpful. We had a terrible experience when our food came out overdone after taking forever. When we attempted to communicate that our food was off, the owner refused to try to rectify the situation and walked off mid-conversation. We left without finishing our meal, as the owner was screaming at a young employee. There are too many other good restaurants to give this place another try.

This was our second time here and again it did not disappoint. The service is amazing. Bartender Charlie is a seasoned service professional that knows a lot about both food and cocktails and how to make guests happy. He goes above and beyond, and the bar was pretty busy, plus they had a big function in the back. So does the kitchen. I really can't say good enough things about this place.
I had tasty oysters, Lamb chops (perfectly cooked) and look at the photo of this Cremé Brulee! It was delicious with fabulous presentation.

I have many dietary restrictions and the chef created the most tasteful, beautiful, unique, and delicious answer to my needs. I felt like I was on an episode of Chopped and I had the winning chef! The 3 other meals at the table were excellent as well and the restaurant and waitstaff were lovely. Will definitely return!

So good ! Yummy! The chicken livers is super crispy! With the special souses! OMG! It is perfect! Taste like the chicken livers oil all cooked out. Only the best part of the favor left. I love it! Also the tuna Tata. The cucumber covered the fish favor. Just perfect! Love Denies! She is the best waitress! So lovely and nice and politely. It is so enjoyable and fun eat and drink at the fancy restaurant. The program martini is so yummy.

I love this place. The prices are on the high side, but you do indeed get what you pay for. This is one of the few places where I can say that their small plates or apps are just as naugthy and delcious as their entrees. Both bar and table services is on point. I'd give it 5 stars, but I think overall the ownder needs to work on ambience. The table arrangement is a little strange. The over all layout needs some work, it is just not flowing. Other than that I will be back again.
Great for date night.

You know that scene in Vanilla Sky where Tom Cruise wakes up to an empty Times Square? That was Ember on a Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m., the first warm day of spring.
Ember is near nothing. And I mean nothing. It's a huge building on a huge lot off of Route 139 in Marshfield, MA, a couple of miles from the highway. You'll miss it if you're going the speed limit. It looks like a religious retreat facility. A cult, maybe, or a conference center.
When I pulled in the lot, I thought it must be closed. After meandering across boardwalks and through overgrown evergreen archways, I
