Master Jeon's World Tae Kwon
Thirty years ago, I founded World Tae Kwon Do Center in Rochester, New York. It has been a privilege to watch my students not only develop strong minds and bodies, but also to become steadfast and upright in character. Tae Kwon Do training can bring about many positive changes to one's life. The ancient Korean traditional martial art builds both physical and mental strength, and improves flexibility and co-ordination.

Studies have shown that the practice of Tae Kwon Do can increase one's ability to focus and concentrate. The aim is not only to acquire power and skill for self-defense, but to perfect oneself by devoting one's life to the safeguarding of justice. Tae Kwon Do is not just about learning how to fight; it is about learning how NOT to fight.

As a perpetual student of life and Grandmaster of Tae Kwon Do, Grandmaster Soon Ho Jeon has dedicated nearly 45 years of his life to the study of Tae Kwon Do, and 25 of those years as an instructor. At the ripe age of 11 years old, his parents enrolled him in classes at a famous Dojang (a formal Korean training hall) because he was considered a bit small for his age.

A: My parents enrolled me in a famous Dojang because I was small for my age and they thought Tae Kwon Do would help me to grow stronger and bigger. Grandmaster Jeon is a great teacher, in all aspects. He has a genuine concern with his students ability to progress in the art of Tae Kwon Do and goes out his way to help them succeed. Having lived in South Korea earlier in my life I am familiar with traditional Tae Kwon Do instruction, and was pleased to find it here. I'm glad that I chose to train at World Tae Kwon Do while living in the Rochester area.

Master Jeon is a superior teacher whose first concern is the welfare of his students. Do yourself a favor if you are considering traditional martial arts, and train with him. You’ll never regret it. I started with him circa 1986 and have trained in several cities in the US and South Korea, and always return to visit when I am in Rochester.
