Welcome to Mas Oyamas Muteki Kyokushin, an authentic Japanese fighting karate school dedicated to training in Mas Oyama's Kyokushin style of full contact karate. Founded and instructed by Shihan Rene Cruz, the dojo's focus is to strengthen the body, mind and spirit through quality physical training, while cultivating courtesy, respect, humility and an invincible fighting spirit.
Our students and instructors train year round and frequently compete all over Japan, Europe, Canada and the US, in order to sharpen their skills. Our dojo has a ring proven record of success with our students going to the podium at every competition. Whether it's national or international competition, our students either place in each division or win the entire division in all events entered, therefore improving our student's self esteem.

Karate has already conquered the hearts of young people throughout the world. These people have turned to Karate in the hope of realizing a dream shared by all people-at least by all men-of being strong. In this age of nuclear war, computerized fighting, and proxy wars in which small nations shed their blood for causes supported by larger nations, mankind turns a suspicious eye on warfare of all kinds.
When entering or leaving the Dojo, stand in the doorway, face the front, bow and say "OSU". This represents a mark or respect for the Dojo and the people in it. 2. If late for training, kneel at the side of the class towards the back, facing away in SEIZA (formal kneeling position).
When the instructor acknowledges you, stand up, turn to the front, bow and say "OSU" then "Shitsurei Shimasu" (excuse me for disturbing), then quickly join the back of the class.7. Always address the instructor and seniors by their proper title (SEMPAI, SENSEI, SHIHAN) inside the Dojo. Acknowledge them with a loud "OSU" when they speak to you.

Training with a dojo mate provides an opportunity to find out whether or not those techniques they practice actually work against an opponent. This practical application is incredibly valuable if you are ever face with the need to use these skills. As a sign of respect, students are required to bow to their partners at the beginning of their training session together.
In the past, Kyokushin was predominantly a male dominated martial art. In the last 10 years however, Kyokushin has changed drastically and it is not uncommon to see several women in different weight divisions fighting in both semi-contact and knockdown kumite.
In the first World Open Championships in Japan, there were no women competing in kumite, now however this has changed and some of the best Kyokushin athletes in the world happen to be women. The interest doesn't just go as far as kumite but it also extends to tameshiwari and kata. Some of the most popular fighters in the world of Kyokushin happen to be women.

My son attended classes here and loved it. I stayed in the classes to observe and it was neat to watch him learn and improve. The instructor is amazing. He’s kind, yet firm with instruction. The students thrived off of the learned discipline and showed him much respect. Highly recommend.

As a former student that was previously part of the kids class at Muteki Kyokushin, it taught me a variety of lessons that would be applicable to life later on. At a young age, I got to meet new people , made new friends and was introduced to a new culture. I traveled to Montreal for a karate tournament which was a great overall experience.Kartate boosted my confidence as a young kid and shifted my mindset on life to not take the easy way out of things and persevere through it. It’s a family-friendly setting and a very close-knit organization. I would recommend this to anyone as a way to build

Amazing place to go and learn, and train very professionally. Everyone is super friendly and easy to get to along with. The training itself is excellent, it’s amazing for wanting to learn a form of Karate and self defense and also for a intense or mellow work out. Personally loved how clean and organized the environment and atmosphere is. Also was able to meet plenty of amazing fighters from different parts of the world and traveled to a few great events as well. 10/10 Loved everything about it. Now living in another state I really do miss seeing all of them bf training with them. Would definitely

This is more than a Karate school. It's a place where you go and become intimately connected with each and every student through your progress. The pace is like no other training you will ever do and Shihan Rene Cruz is excellent at helping each student keep that pace and move forward. You will gain strength, health and confidence with every class you attend. I now live in TX and miss training every day. Hoping when I come back on training visits I will see new faces that understand why I'm writing this review.

The reasons why this place is Great first I will start with Shihan Rene Cruz he is the best teacher and instructor in the business and unlike some other teachers he has numerous real fights so his teachings are from experience rather than YouTube videos. He has also trained with the best of them on a pay per view Pro level he is truly a gem in our City. His experience will not only guide you to push you to your best self but help you achieve and set your goals. If your looking for a family setting but also competitive where you can comfortably engage and push yourself come down to Muteki.
