TaeKwonDo is a uniquely Korean martial art, and is the most-practiced martial art in the world, with an estimated 70 million people in over 150 countries now practicing TaeKwonDo.
As with other martial arts, there are many styles of TaeKwonDo; the style practiced by Majest is principally World Taekwondo Federation style (the same style that is competed in the Olympics) with older, more traditional elements incorporated into our Majest curriculum as well.When our Majest students achieve Black Belt, they are awarded "dan certificates" from Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters, located in Seoul, South Korea.

There are myriad benefits that derive from studying Tae Kwon Do. On a student's first day of class, many students are excited, some are shy, but by the end of class all students can't wait to come back for more. At Majest, we teach a fully modern TaeKwonDo curriculum, augmented with traditional TaeKwonDo techniques and training. During our TaeKwonDo classes, we teach both the English and Korean names for most of the TaeKwonDo techniques that we teach. Why? The best TaeKwonDo schools around the world practice this same habit, so that when students visit other countries they can still practice TaeKwonDo and understand the instructions.
Majest practices the most popular style of the most popular martial art in the world: Kukkiwon / World Taekwondo Federation (Olympic) taekwondo. Because we practice a mainstream martial art, there are many outstanding sources of additional information. USA Taekwondo (USAT) - the taekwondo arm of Team USA, the U.S.'s Olympic team, and the U.S.'s National Governing Body (NGB) under the World Taekwondo Federation.

We received outstanding communication and service from the office manager. She was the main reason why we chose Majest. Once we joined, we were blown away by the professionalism of the staff at Majest Martial Arts in Montclair and the talent of Grand Master Kim who is not only an accomplished martial artist but a gifted instructor who can hold the attention of 15-20 kids of all ages in one class. Grand Master Kim impresses us more and more with each class as he is not only teaching Tae Kwon Do and the values associated with it, but he is building respectful relationships with each student. Can't express how happy we are to have found this place. The instructors are beyond wonderful with children and the office manager is the most considerate, professional, and lovely person I've ever met. What this school has done for my four-year-old's confidence, self esteem and intellect has blown us away. I highly recommend Majest to anyone in the area!!!

Master kim loves his students, he hosts for belt ceremony party every two monthes. nice food, nice family environments, espectially his wife cooking ...amazing! he is a very dedicated instructor. his team members are also friendly and dedicated. my kid loves this place.bhe told me every time he attend class, he feels energy, focus, respected and motivated. we signed for one year, then we changed to three years contract, because we love this place. after my son obtain his black belt, i will sign for myself for another three years for another black belt!

An amazing program and instructor. Master Kim is awesome with children and adults as well as his staff. I highly recommend this program for all ages. This is the third program we've participated in with our children from California, Texas, and now Virginia, and it's by far the best! Master Kim teaches according to the World Tae Kwon Do Federation rules and this is the program you want yourself or your children to participate.
