One time I heard someone laugh when she heard that dentists change lives. I've thought about this a long time: I don't take myself too seriously but I really do think I can make a meaningful difference in people's lives. While not everyone needs their dentist for life satisfaction, when I am working on a larger case, my goal is to provide the patient with a better quality of life.

Originally from southern Florida, Dr. Scott, our on-site specialist, started at the University of Pennsylvania for undergrad and dental school; in 2016 he completed his residency in Periodontics at University of Illinois at Chicago. His collaborative research at UPenn, UIC, and Hadassah Hospital has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.

The dental staff at Strobel are all A-1 in promoting and providing dental care. My dentist, Dr. Terrassa has given gentle and meticulous care toward restoring my broken smile. I do a lot of speaking so I have really come to appreciate the positioning and care for my front teeth in particular. Dr. Terrassa makes it come back together again.

I have always had ok to bad experiences at dental offices and it took me years of jumping from several places to find Strobel Dentistry. I am so glad I did!!! Dr Dan was great. After he reviewed my X-ray and gave me a quick check he gave me a professional and friendly update. Christina, dental hygienist, was excellent. She was friendly, professional, extremely thorough, and careful to allow breaks when my jaws tired. I suffer from hating the dentist, sensitive gums and TMJ. Strobel dentistry is the only place I have consistently been willing to maintain my 6 month dental care. The staff are so wonderful that I almost forget I don’t like the dentist. Thank you

Dr. Dan and the team (shoutout Leslie!) are phenomenal. I've lived in many cities and have always dreaded the dentist until finding Strobel Dentistry--I actually look forward to coming in now! You can always trust their recommendations, the work/procedures are modern and painless, and they are efficient. Leslie is usually my hygienist and she's amazing--cheerful, funny, and makes sure I'm never uncomfortable--but the entire staff is so friendly and helpful. I was in dire need of a crown- Strobel accommodated me from start to finish. Their staff are highly professional and organized. A permanent crown was literally created while I waited in their office. Dr. Dan Strobel was confident, precise, and guided me with every step in the process. He’s a rockstar at his craft, along with Brooke his assistant. Sadly I had a bad experience and felt deceived by Stroebel dentistry. I went for the first time since the pandemic (was pregnant at the time), and they led me to believe they were doing a routine cleaning covered by insurance. The hygienist even suggested I come back in December because "my plan covered twice a year cleanings". She also discussed coding a special cleaning a certain way because it would be "covered by my insurance". The appointment and people like Dr Isabella were pleasant and wonderful - not so much when I received my bill. The cleaning was not covered because

They were great until I decided to get the invisilign (sure smile) that they recommended. The aligners are just now correct and I've been doing this since November of last year. The first 10 to 20 aligners didn't even fit yet I was told to keep wearing them. No wonder I'm still not done with treatment. I paid for accelerated but that's not what this is and then they have the audacity to have an attitude when I express my discontent. This includes the dentist. I'm quite sure she would be pissed too if she paid for something that has never been correct and the quality subpar

I got a small chip in an old crown just days before traveling to Chicago for a 3 month job. My dentist back home, who I love, took a look at it and decided it wasn't that bad and could probably wait until I returned home. Unfortunately, the first day I was in town, it cracked again, substantially. Faced with the daunting task of sifting through hundreds of dentists in the area, I was lucky to get a recommendation from a friend to call Strobel Dentistry.

Strobel Dentistry was recommended to me by a friend after I had a terrible experience with my previous dentist's office - and I am SO GLAD I came here!! I was under the impression that I needed a full crown after a root canal I recently had done, but Dr. Dan gave me a free consultation, took some x-rays and confirmed that I would be fine with just a partial crown; less drilling- woohoo!

I feel compelled to write this review because Doctor Strobel and his outstanding team utterly exceeded my expectations yesterday. First of all, the office complex has been redesigned to ensure that social distancing and all the other protection practices vis-a-vis COVID-19 are assiduously followed. To accentuate this point, the room I was in to have major work done to my teeth had a machine named "Air Doctor"- which appeared to filter the air to keep it extremely fresh. I had a cavity that needed filling. Apparently it was so bad that the dentist said we would need to shave down my tooth and put a cap over it (according to Dentologie on Grand). I've had plenty of cavities, a root canal, and even my wisdom teeth removed. Due to my experience, this felt a little off. After waiting so long, I have decided to get invisalign done. I love the way they treated me, very professional and caring. I have been explained very how my treatment will look like. Its really amazing that I will be able to get sure smile in couples of weeks. Big thanks to Dr Dan and all other hygienists who have worked hard to take care of my teeth. UPDATE: I moved home to Florida a few years ago, and returned to Chicago last year. Lots of things changed during my absence from the windy city, but not Strobel Dentistry, which I have happily reestablished as my go-to dental office.
Dr. Dan is, of course, still wonderful, and must have a sixth sense about hiring phenomenal staff because, while many remain from my time here as a patient previously, there are some new faces as well - all of whom are as welcoming and compassionate as I had hoped when I came back. Dr. Dan's work is exceptional and his staff is amazing. I highly recommend.

Dr Issabella is the best. She's patient thoughtful and kind. I'm a huge scaredy-cat of dentists. I avoided going until I was in pain and couldn't eat. Dr Issabella provided me amazing care and within a month I had all my immediate dental issues resolved. I even looked forward to my half year cleaning.
The hygienist staff are thorough and helpful. Great qualities when you have a terrified patient.

By far the best dental services I've ever received which has kept me as a patient for a number of years. Never dread a visit with them as my teeth and gums feel super healthy after I visit them. What is more is the friendly and highly educated staff members and constant progression in dental technological advancements used at this institute. Furthermore, the dentists are kind, open, and honest with you about your oral health routine and what needs to be done. I was a patient of Greg Strobel, an excellent dentist, for many years. After an absence I returned to find an office with many advances and a marvelously professional staff. Unfortunately that euphoric,warm and fuzzy feeling did not last long.I received a treatment plan from Dr. Isabella which included a dental chart that was supposed to be a snapshot of work to be done on my partial. The dentist claim that i've never been is a lie. I'll even post an email from their office and phone call log to prove it. How can you look up patient information without a last name and birthday, anyway?
If I hear about their 90 minute new patient consultation one more time, i will scream. I get them trying to show that they're being thorough, but what the heck are you doing with 90 minutes? That's just excessive and silly. Probably just ramping up charges for "fancy" scans not covered by insurance. Seriously, they think they're really showing off and pulling
