Keshet Child Development Center is a Jewish preschool that for over 30 years has been offering a wonderful program to children from age 2 through age 5. Keshet was voted "The Best Preschool in the Washington, DC Area" in the 2010 Nickelodeon Parent's Choice Awards. The name of our preschool, pronounced ke-shet, is Hebrew for "rainbow."
The rainbow, the symbol of G-d's covenant with Noah and with all future generations, also symbolizes our school's commitment to offer children a learning environment that nurtures a love for, and an understanding of our Jewish heritage, traditions, and values. We believe in the integration of learning and play, as children learn best by doing.

Services
New prospective families are encouraged to attend one of our Open Houses usually scheduled in December and/or January. At an open house, you will meet our Director, learn about our program, tour our facility and have an opportunity to observe the school in session. Applications are taken on a first come first served basis.
The School day begins at 9:15 am. Children are greeted by a teacher and encouraged to join the other children in morning activities in their classroom. They then have the freedom to explore the various learning activities and interest centers that have been prepared before their arrival. These centers change from week to week, day to day and sometimes from hour to hour.
