I'm so thankful for my haircut with Zhen. He really knew what he was doing and took so much care to understand what I wanted, not making me feel rushed at all. He was so professional as well, making the perfect amount of friendly small talk in my opinion. I was super nervous to get curtain bangs for the first time, but he helped me feel more comfortable and even took the time to explain how to style and care for it. Can't recommend this gem hidden in an alley of Chinatown enough!

I don't normally write reviews but I recently got my haircut here by Ernie and I love it so much! I've had my fair share of bad haircuts in Boston so I was definitely hesitant to come but Ernie and his team made this experience so pleasant. I went for a korean style, long layers with face framing pieces at the front and he did such a good job with this haircut! He even took the time to explain why he was doing certain things throughout the process and taught me how to style my hair. This ended up being my favorite haircut I've had in Boston. My hair feels so light and soft afterwards

This is a fantastic salon! I recently had the underside of my hair bleached and dyed baby pink. It was a great experience and I love how it looks.
I called the studio to ask for an appointment and texted with stylist Zhen. I was able to set up a 5-hour appointment for the week after and sent photos of my current hair and the style/color I was looking for. I was able to get a price estimate in advance. Zhen gave me tips on how to maintain my hair and its new color. It looks great and the bleaching was done precisely since it is only on the underside of my hair!

I got an ash blonde balayage done with Lucas and I appreciate how much time and effort he put into my hair. I was not entirely satisfied with the way my hair turned out the first time it was done, but Lucas reached out to me a second time and offered another hair appointment FREE of charge. He was very patient and diligent with my hair. I can tell this salon keeps its integrity by making their clients feel welcomed and cared for. I am definitely satisfied with my balayage and the friendliness of the people here!

It was my first time coming here and i really liked the results!! Zhen was the person who had done my hair, and throughout the whole appointment he tried to make me feel comfortable as well as start small conversations here and there. I had asked for curtain bangs, and Zhen did just that as well as gave me careful instructions on how to style my hair in the future, all without me even having to ask! The atmosphere overall just felt welcoming. Even as i was getting my own hair done, i could see another woman who seems to have gotten a haircut and dye, and her hair looked gorgeous. The experience

I’ve been going to Earnie since I was a kid (over 20 years!) and I wanted to bleach and dye my hair. It took around three hours, and Earnie made sure to be really gentle during the bleaching process and coloring. I wanted it to be ash blonde from black, so he made it darker so after a few washes it gets to the color I wanted (see last picture). My hair is still really healthy after three months, and Earnie took really good care of my hair :)

Schedule in advance, this salon is so popular that they won't accept walk ins unless you've made a reservation! From an Asian male perspective, I think this spot was incredible even if it was slightly pricey. I had my hair cut by Shen and he was very polite and immediately knew the assignment after looking at the picture I showed him. They wash your hair before and after your cut and make adjustments to it to make sure it looks good. Their professionalism and attention to detail earns them a 4.5 star in my book! Important final note: they only accept cash and it was $40 total.

I recently had my haircut at Coco Head Hair and it was such a fun experience, and most importantly, I had a really good haircut. I came in the store wanting to thin out my hair having asian thick hair that gets extremely frizzy in the humidity, so most of the time I would always put my hair up to not deal with it. But, Joey showed up for the challenge and made my hair and me beautiful! Great hair studio--pretty busy so get an appointment early if you can! Unlike some other barbers, Lucas was super attentive to what I wanted and also offered his own opinion on what would be a good hairstyle for me, which made the overall experience that much better. Honestly I would never have thought of coming to a haircut place that charges more than 30$ except my mom wanted me to go since we were going to a wedding soon. HOWEVER, It was such a good experience and Joey put so much care and detail into my hair that I have not seen in a long time. He even went to explain why he was doing certain things. 10/10 experience!! I haven't colored my hair in years and was a bit scared to bleach it but I took the leap and booked an appointment with Earnie. He was so kind and helpful during the 5 hour session. He explained the whole process to me as we were bleaching and toning my hair, and consistently checked in on me to see if I was good. I had very entertaining conversations with him and his wife and they ensured that I was satisfied with the color and trim. Upon entry, my temperature was checked. Extremely happy with service! Cut and dyed my hair 2X with Joey and loved it both times. He's the only one who has made red and purple dye last on my black hair. When we did my red hair the first time, it was very subtle coloring and Joey offered for me to come back and try a deeper color at no extra cost. Good Covid precautions, happy with price, and love how patient and detail oriented Joey is!

Love the undercut I just got from Ernie at Coco! All the hair stylists here are SO great with Asian hair, I never have to worry that they'll try to do something that won't work with my hair texture.

I have gotten some of the best haircuts here. I've gotten cuts from Joey and Zhen and both stylists are great. They really understand what techniques to use for Asian hair and the result truly speaks for itself. I cannot recommend them enough.
