Chris Turner has been investing in real estate since 1993. He began buying and renting homes while stationed in Alaska with the US Air Force. Originally from Greenville, SC he decided to move back to South Carolina and settled in the Columbia area. He began purchasing rental properties and handled the management, maintenance and screening of tenants himself.
We offer professional service with a personal touch. From advertising, signage, showings and answering calls we handle all aspects of your property. Also we incorporate technology to streamline management and make the entire process simpler. I am a case manager a Veteran client who is computer illiterate. Turner Properties has transferred their automatic rent payment options to a new electronic system, "RentVine". I called Turner Properties to request help on behalf of Veteran's need to pay his rent timely and spoke to Ms. Preston. She assisted me over the phone while I sat with the Veteran navigating his phone. Ms. Preston worked with us tirelessly past her tour of duty, then ensured her availability the following morning! From the start, he was honest with us about what needed to be done to the house to prepare it for renters, and we went maybe a month (more often a couple of weeks) with the house empty. He helped us price it well enough to cover most of the monthly expenses with sensitivity to the market. The renters that they screened and selected for us, as we had moved out of state, were all fantastic and very accommodating

Turner Properties seems to have the best houses available. Please note that the company will only accept complete application. There may be several applications on one house. Although I did not get the house I applied for I feel this is a good company to rent from. If you have problems, please ask for the Manager. He was very nice on the phone.

Turner Properties managed my rental in Lexington SC since 2015. I have lived out of state during this entire time so it was important to have an experienced, knowledgeable and responsive property manager to deal with screening tenants and maintenance. In six years, there was minimal turnover, so the tenants must have been satisfied and practically no vacancies to deal with. From an owner standpoint, repairs were prompt and most importantly costs were transparent with no surprises. I recently sold the property and the process could not have been smoother. It was a huge benefit to have the same property

We placed an application and are more than qualified financially for the home we applied for. Never heard back except for an email to notify us that the property we applied for was rented out- nothing about the status of our application and/or why we were passed over. I understand the market is competitive right now and I’m not upset someone else has found a home, but the lack of communication was disappointing. I called a few times with questions and Leslie seemed annoyed with having to be on the phone. If you hate your job, find another one! Some people have no business dealing with the public

I used Turner Properties for several years as a rental property owner. They do a fantastic job of delivering a "no-fuss" experience. They handled all of the tenant screenings, rent collection, periodic inspections, and maintenance requests on my behalf. This made it very hands-off, which was perfect for someone like me who lives out of state. Turner Properties managed the rental of our condo in Columbia, SC for 6 years. We have been really happy with them - they have not only managed to rent it out but have overseen and corrected problems when they arose.

We decided to move to South Carolina a year ago. Turner Properties rented a townhouse to us when no one else would because we were moving from another state and had not secured a job yet. They worked with us and allowed us to pay a year's rent upfront.
