Services
Officially unveiled in Spring of 2014, The William is a modern boutique hotel located near Bryant Park in Manhattan. Stay and be immersed in a lifestyle localized in culture, yet tailored in service. Thoughtfully crafted for our discerning clientele, The William features thirty-three guest suites that leave no detail unexplored.
At the William, every floor is a different color. Monochromatic palettes of blue, teal, pink, orange or yellow vibrantly coat the ceilings, walls, carpets and bed linens. Guests are immersed in visceral color. The design of the William is the collaborative work of In Situ Design, Lilian B Interiors and artist William Engel.
The traditional style dining rooms evoke an early 19th century English gentleman's club brought into the present with a playful bohemian touch. Expect a seasonal, New York cosmopolitan menu with a strong British backbone. Emblematic of a 16th century pub found in Stratford upon Avon, The Shakespeare Pub features repurposed beams that run along the ceiling and rich wood paneling that wrap the walls.
The William offers fully-furnished, state-of the art amenities in each of its rooms and suites. Modern extended stay guests can enjoy a variety of amenities ranging from the technological to the lifestyle. The William NYC offers its extended stay guests a concierge service beyond normal offerings; each guest will receive a dedicated guide to their stay, The William itself, and New York City as a whole.
Situated on the 6th floor, the Penthouse Suite looks north with sliding floor to ceiling windows. The suite is airy and open, with a separate living area and dining area. The beautiful kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and dinnerware that are laid against a smoked mirror backsplash, and a sharp white countertop.

Vomit concealed under deodorizer. On night two the gradual increase in vomit smell became horrible. The staff had no tools to help with this in the middle of the night. In the morning the staff were apologetic. The management accused me of being the source. To say I am disgusted does not go far enough. This is an interesting hotel with questionable management. Beware. Check for damp spots immediately upon arrival! The hotel later tried to apply a cleaning charge to my card. No no. I do not think so. Traffic noise is significant, but standard for a city location.

Hotel Room was awesome. Perfect location for anything NYC. However... The staff needs help and training. Sign says bar closes at 1200am. It was 1130pm. I'm a guest at hotel and was told I could not get a drink at the bar. There was only one wash cloth in bathroom for the both of us. Asked for a washclothe after checking in at 525pm still no washclothe by 1139pm. Wife had to can to desk and threaten the poor kid working there. So staff needs training. They staff should know more about NYC to assist in questions that guest my have. Everything else was great. 4 stars cause staff needs adjusting.

Not quite sure where to begin. Very excited to check out this hotel for our first trip back to NYC since the start of the pandemic after reading the great reviews. Unfortunately, the great reviews didn’t reflect our experience.
Called ahead to ask about parking, was told the William didn’t have parking (not shocking for NYC). So I arranged my own. Only to discover once we arrived that The William us a relationship with the garage next door and we could have parked there with a discount.
Attendant at check in was gruff and seemed put out by having to…check me in. Only information volunteered

Stayed here for an August weekend. The doorman was very friendly and helped everything from room service too holding our luggage so we can enjoy the city. They allowed us to even check in earlier. The room was very clean and it looked great for the price they sold it for. Best part was a working Alexa speaker for music!

This the worst experience ever happened..
If you will pay 400$ what do you expect ?? unwelcoming staff?? Dirty floors?? Late check in time because the room is not ready and when you finally got in room you will smell cleaners .. of course because the just finished cleaning.
It is not over yet. The A/C is small for the room. Don't expect cold room.
This is what happened to me ..
please check out the pics and the video

The hotel is clean with modern decorations and furniture. The check-in process was painless. I'm not likely to return though: (1) barely warm water for my morning shower (same with the sink - so it wasn't a lack of faucet know-how in the confusing shower) (2) There was an open bar of soap left from whomever was in the room previously (3) even though the rooms have a restaurant menu for the on-site restaurant, they don't deliver to your room, and they don't accept room charges "We're a separate business" - compared to the front desk saying "They should have

The most beautiful boutique hotel in NYC. I was able to get an incredible deal for several nights on Hotel Tonight literally minutes after walking out of the awful Pod 39 hotel, a block or so away. I got a beautiful large (so rare for NYC) stylish and quiet room, amazing decor, very comfortable bed, giant bathroom with rain shower, nice linens and toiletries Nespresso machine. The only drawback it's in a brownstone, so I had to drag my suitcase up and down the front steps. I don't think they have room service - usually a must for me, but this time it didn't matter. They do have a

I stayed at The William this past weekend during the Mindfulness America summit. I booked my stay through Hotel Tonight, which was a decent price $227/per night (with taxes & fees). I'm not really savvy at navigating around the city, so when I got in the cab, I didn't know what streets the hotel was between! It doesn't say on the website or hotel tonight. I called several times & no answer at the front desk. Hotel tonight provides a concierge service via text, so I contacted them & they provided me with an answer within a few minutes (very helpful!)..when I arrived at

My workplace has their annual holiday luncheon here in the Peacock room. It is a very beautiful building that used to belong to Williams college before they sold it and it turned into a hotel.
The staff were very hospitable and friendly. We had a special menu with a few selections for appetizer, main, and dessert. I have no idea what the prices are like unfortunately but I imagine it is pricey. The food was delicious however! I started wth the celeriac and chestnut soup since it was rather cold that day. This was very warming and unique. It may be a seasonal soup since it is the holiday season

I booked this hotel through one of the 3rd party vendors (Expedia or Hotwire I think) and it was seemless. The rooms look exactly as the depict them in their photos, are reasonably large (especially by NY standards), clean and refreshing looking. They have top brands for shampoos and coffees and everything is just nice and comforting to look at. It was affordable as well!
Based on the rooms I'd give the hotel 4 stars, but the staff really pushed this hotel to an excellent experience. Every single staff member went out of their way to be helpful and nice. Any questions we had, they were

I was in town for the Billy Joel show, and chose to stay at The William. While it is hard to say if there is anything wrong with the hotel, Even though I felt very safe at the William (and walking to/from Madison Square Garden/Times Square), there appeared to be a vibe at the hotel that I was uncomfortable with, as if I didn't belong - but that being said, I am a very low key, casual type of person, most comfortable in tee shirts and jeans. However, that attire felt a little underdressed.
But onto the high points of the hotel.
It was definitely affordable, and as far as NYC hotels go, the
