Went on Day 3 of their first week. Indeed looks very grand. Dim sum is ordered by paper - I think it’s a bit more dignified than having hungry tables overwhelming the carts. It was a bit slow in the delivery - maybe it’s due to opening week. (They do have 2 other restaurants). Still nice to know another top tier option in Milpitas !

Outstanding dishes and service in a palatial setting.
All our food came out promptly, the tea was refilled quickly (they have a long list—from Jasmine, to oolong, to Pu’er), and the servers were exceedingly polite and courteous.
You will absolutely not regret coming here. Some highlights below.
Wagyu: flavorful, succulent, fresh. Well-balanced sauce with a hint of pepper.
Lobster: sweet, delicate, lightly spiced, easy to access meat. Tough call between the Wagyu and the lobster but I think the lobster was the highlight of the night. I’m told it’s flown from New England and kept fresh

I hosted my son's farewell party at the new HL Peninsula restaurant. My husband wanted to order the Holiday Set menu E! The price was $638 during M-F and $738 on weekend. We just went Monday night! The restaurant is only opened for 6 days. The waiter Kwok told us the roasted Crispy sesame chicken is not available, he will sub with the Steam Concubine chicken. That is an item from a menu that cost $200 less. So I said Peking Duck, and he said I have to pay an upcharge of $18. I agreed! Then everything went downhill! First we didn't get the fresh fruit platter; the Osmanthus Clams were Red clams

I had both dinner and dim sum lunch. Dinner is better than Koi palace, sifu Wong and Lei garden. Dim sum is on par with Koi palace and better than most of restaurant in south bay.

Dinner: the waiter was acting super weirded. We wanted to order a ordinary fish dish, he told us it's frozen fish. Okay then we ask what kind of live fish do you recommend, he paused 10 seconds and then started to read the menu for us. We ordered one fish he recommended and then a few minutes later told us it's sold out. And then we placed a second

This restaurant was a memorable experience for my family. The food was exquisite and service was great! I especially loved the lobster noodles, with a perfectly balanced taste, accompanied by a delicious lobster. I recommend everyone to come and try it. This place has a great environment! We came here on the opening day and was amazed at the grand opening ceremony and the food that was offered. Yan can cook was there giving an opening speech and he said hl peninsula is the best seafood restaurant in Bay Area! The chefs here have a combined experience of more than 100 years! each vip room has karaoke system and the stereo is awesome!
