We had a wonderful time last night. We booked on OpenTable and got seated right away in the beautiful window seat. The outdoor seating was full. We didn’t want the outdoor seating though and we met the loveliest locals inside. The food was excellent. My business partner and I both had filet mignon. It was just an amazing experience. We will definitely go back and I will bring my husband up from Carmel California and anytime I fly in San Francisco I’m going to pop in.

Not recommended. Waiter kept us waiting for 10+ minutes before swinging by to our table for service. Busy vibes on a Friday night
- chicken penne is exactly what you'd expect out of a chicken penne
- spenish fettuccine was rather dry, no sauce, topped with very sour capers.
- branzino: baked fish, sauce was sour, fish was over cooked and bone dry
- paella: too soggy, their was so much water residual it felt more like a rissoto. Flavor was not bad, shame.

Perfection!
We recently found this restaurant because the one we had planned on going to wasn't answering their phone.
Glad they didn't!
First time last week we had the lemon pepper linguine as a take out... omg it was so good. So fresh and delicious.
So tonight we were discussing where we should go, we decided to visit in restaurant. They got us straight in even though they were busy and we hadn't made reservations.
We ordered the special lamb shank and a the paella. We share so it was fantastic to try both. They didn't disappoint! Each one perfect in its complexity and bold

We have only done take-out from here and it's been great. The first time I tried Trapeze my whole family was wowed by the dishes and that has continually happened each time we order. We have tried the lobster ravioli, filet stroganoff, bolognese, penne al forno, penne con pollo, lemon pepper linguine, penne arrabiata, and the grilled salmon. We have enjoyed the dishes each time. I would highly recommend this place.

On the positive side, we were able to get a reservation on short advance for a group of seven. I know understand why.
Conceptually, this place has great potential. Great looking menu, nice wine list and other adult beverages as well. From an execution standpoint, Trapeze has a long way to go.
Service seemed disorganised and confused. While not in a hurry for our food, plates for the various members in our group came out at separately rather than together. Some of the food was warm, some not so much. Guessing it was under the warming lamp for way too long. My chow was dry and significantly

Made reservations at 9PM. Called and said we would be 20 minutes late. They confirmed with me that it was okay as long I got there before 9:30PM. They were very nice and friendly. Sat us down quickly. Our server Dennis was always checking in on us. Ordered the French lemon drop. Enjoyed it. Along with all the food we order was beyond delicious. This is by far some of the best food I have ever had in my life. I would definitely come again and make this my girlfriend and I spot to go every month or weekly if we can. Ordered the Red Wine Braised Grilled Octopus, Caesar Salad with added Chicken, Lobster

The meal and the service were wonderful.
My husband and I dined here on our first night of our San Francisco vacation. We were staying at a hotel close to the airport and found trapeze on yelp. The restaurant is charming, the atmosphere is very warm and cozy. The lights were a tad bright but they dimmed them for us after we commented that they could be lowered a bit. We shared the beet salad which was absolutely delicious and they split it for us before they brought it to the table. My husband had the duck Ragu and I had the chicken penne. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Also have

Our party of ten booked a "COVID Coming Out" dinner for the first time in over a year. We chose Trapeze because of prior positive experiences. We had cocktails, ordered the calamari fritti as the table's appetizer and proceeded to move on to the main course. Among the choices: barbecued ribs (a favorite among the wives), lamb chops, linguine with seafood, filet mignon, and paella.
The food was all superb and was followed by dessert. One member brought a bottle of French Sauternes and the host graciously supplied special glasses for our welcoming toast.
Most especially, the service

I have been struggling to write this review for 2 weeks, but after much thought I hope that someone from the restaurant actually reads this and can make improvements in the service to help other people.
During COVD, they currently had 6 tables outside and 4 tables inside for dining. It was a Saturday afternoon around 5:30 pm and only 1 table outside was full so we thought we would give Trapeze a try for the first time.
We walked in the front door and an older gentleman asked if he could help us. We said yes a table for 2 please. He said do you have a reservation? We said no, did we need one?

Hubby and I wanted to get out for a date night since it's been ages since we've been able to do so with a new baby at home. When looking around for a nice restaurant to go to with good food, Trapeze caught our eye. We made a reservation for a Sunday evening when the weather was nice and balmy and we were super happy with our experience here.
There was plenty of outdoor seating available when we arrived and we got to sit at a table of our choosing. The outdoor seating is within a patio so you have some cover, and there are heat lamps available if it becomes too cool.
To start, we ordered

I came here for a nice birthday dinner. Service was top notch. Carpaccio and duck ragu are must-haves but I recommend skipping dessert.
Carpaccio--love it, super soft meat and perfectly balanced flavors. The sweetness from red onions added another dimension. Looots of capers.
Fried calamari/veggies--large portion; interesting veggie mix with a warm comfort-food feel. Can't go wrong with this fried appetizer.
Duck ragu--AMAZING. It had this totally unique nutty flavor that I couldn't get enough of. Pasta was cooked well.
Spaghetti con pollo--tasty in its own right, though overshadowed

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience. Parking was available in both city-owned surface lots and on the street, despite the parklets being used for outdoor dining.
Started off the meal with crab cakes and they were tasty!
The grilled octopus chilled appetizer was also great, light and the octopus wasn't rubbery!
The lobster ravioli that Yelpers were raving about were excellent! Super fresh and flavorful!
The lamb chops were also decent, although the ones from Evvia are a touch better!
Service throughout the meal was great too!

* Lemon-Pepper Linguini - 24
* Paella Valencia - 26
Pros:
* Pleasant outdoor dining setting with painted hardwood constructed floor, half walls and overhang.

Loved this place! Great food, excellent service and nice restaurant with warm ambience.
We were checked in immediately upon entering, and the waiter informed us that the table will be ready very shortly. We only waited a mere (maybe even) 2-mins and the kind gentlemen apologized that the table was not ready before we got there. How nice is that?! What great service and I knew immediately that I picked the right place for taking my friends here.
We ordered a variety of dishes... steak, pasta, carpaccio, seafood paella ... all tasted excellent and absolutely everyone -- loved the food. :) :)

The restaurant is cozy and the decor is nice, but the food and service gave me the impression of a diner trying to be upscale...decent food...boring meal presentation. We had the fried calamari as an app., which came with classic and unimaginative condiments; tartar sauce and a marinara/cocktail type sauce; however, the calamari was tender and the batter was tasty and never flaked off. Another app...grilled polenta cakes tasted...well, grilled. If it wasn't for the overabundance of the sauce, which was dull and did not compliment the cakes, I would not have eaten this dish as it was bland through
