Booked this hotel for 4nights after our cruise. Room was spacious for the three of us with two double beds, a fridge and shower over the bath. It was spotlessly clean. Hotel has a retro vibe and looks to be recently updated in all areas. Short walk to beach, easy walk to lots of restaurants. Our room 1711 had the most amazing views of Diamond head.
Adjacent to the Honolulu Zoo, this hotel is at the quieter end of the Waikiki strip which means that you can get a decent sleep and still have a view of the beach and Diamond Head. It's set back one street from the main drag so everything is close by. Hotel is in a great spot, with excellent views and within a short walk to the beach.

Great property at the end of the main strip in Wikiki area. The views from the corner rooms are just amazing as it's right across the zoo.
The rooms are well kept with the higher end rooms having a small balcony. Water bottles are offered on request and there is a water fountain on the ground floor to refil. They also provide a kettle on request. The reception and staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a coffee shop that's open till 4pm and a travel desk. There are plenty of ABC stores just a few meters from the hotel and a bunch of food trucks at the lane behind the hotel.

The room was fine but for over $400 a night a complete scam. I came in starving and exhausted at 1am after 6 hours of delays and the answer to is there anywhere they recommend to eat was “no.” Which is obviously not the case. There’s obviously options to eat and any hotel would know of the late night options in the area. There was no water in the room, which was disappointing. They also charged $4 to keep my luggage for 3 hours after check out and there’s no airport shuttle. I’ve been literally everywhere and never had that happen. Overall, I think this hotel was a reflection of how underwhelming

We had a 2 star experience at this 4 star hotel. Staff was friendly enough but our room was broom closet sized with a lovely view of the alleyway. (great for hearing disgruntled valet staff conversing below) All of this would have been manageable were it not for the ant infestation in our room. I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again even though aspects of this hotel are very nice

Nice place. Located next to the zoo. Our room was clean and we had a view of the ocean. We only stayed one night but it was well located for us. If you plan on eating or drinking at the deck restaurant on the third floor, you will need reservations. Find a night or morning and make the reservation ahead of time. This was a bit annoying but the food and bartenders are good. I think you can rent a surf board from the hotel but I would walk out to the beach and rent one there. We took a shuttle from the airport, so if you rent a car be prepared to wait in line to get parked.

Absolutely loved staying here for vacation. The care of service we received was over the top in every aspect of the hotel. I would like to mention that the valet and bell hop guest service was probably some of the best I have ever received in my whole life. Everyone was SO nice and consistently went out of their way to make sure that we had the best experience.

The employees are great!
The room was clean. I'm dissatisfied with the value.
I spent $2,300. The room had no microwave, no coffeemaker and the expensive "ocean view ". I had to lean half way over the lanai rail to see a glimpse of the water.
I was the only one at the gym everyday. An incredible amount of money was spent on equipment. It would be much wiser to provide the more expensive rooms with a coffeemaker and microwave. The claim of an ocean view borders on false advertising.
Years ago, I stayed at the Queens every year for 20 years. I'm disappointed I cannot come

In addition to this being a lovely hotel offering anything I needed, the staff here are among THE BEST. The bell hops, housekeeping, and front desk staff were all very kind. I especially appreciated when a bell hop said “welcome home” to me upon return from the beach. Would DEFINITELY stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone not needing a big name hotel chain (and the cost that comes with it!). I stayed in a Diamond Head View room and had an amazing view!

Had a great expletive here. The concierge service went out if their way to help me have a great trip, including organizing last minute Luau reservations and great food recommendations.
A special shout out to Claude at the concierge desk for all his help. Your awesome man.
I felt so welcome here and had such a wonderful time. And the Ocean view I had was awesome. I absolutely plan to come back.
Cool pro:right next to the beach and main Waikiki beach front drag.
Slight con: the proximity made it a little noisy on the weekend at night due to others hitting the bars a bit late at night.

My husband and I stayed at the Queen Kapi'olani for 5 nights during our visit to Oahu. We booked the Jr. Suite with Diamond Head View. The view was remarkable! Absolutely beautiful. There were many windows in the suite from which we could enjoy the view. The trade winds were blowing really hard, so we didn't spend much time on the balcony.
Overall, the hotel and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. I attended the lei making class and had a lovely time.
The valet/parking situation can be tricky. Some folks weren't able to get a spot and had to find parking elsewhere. We lucked out and

Where do I start??? I have nothing but incredible experiences to share! Everything from our arrival, to the staff helping us to to our room. They truly make you feel like family and exceeded our expectations far and beyond! I never had a bad day, the staff made my kids laugh and entertained them in many ways. They we're extremely helpful anytime I inquired, nothing short of phenomenal.

Incredible views, good location, refreshing design
Liked · Incredible views of diamond head from rooms, on-site Deck restaurant great atmosphere, food, & view again. Convenient location on eastern edge of waikiki so can do nice walk along beach all the way to House without a Key for entertainment for example in one direction, and Hau Tree brunch/Kaimana Beach/Diamond Head hike in other direction. Newly renovated rooms, coffeeshop w/breakfast sandwiches downstairs, well-done art throughout lobbies, but again get the diamond head view rooms to really see how this place shines.

Second time staying here for a total of 2 weeks.
PROS:
Valet parking guys are AWESOME~so much aloha!! Check-in and parking are the easiest I have experienced in Waikiki. Rooms were clean and updated. The Deck is on the third floor is nice (easier if you make a reservation). Able to rent surfboards downstairs for a reasonable price with a small surf break close to the hotel. Reasonably priced rooms compared to other places. Allows pets for a small fee :)
CONS:
We booked ocean view (no balcony) but was partial ocean view. We changed rooms a few times, but it didn't seem to get better. The

Front desk personnel lack efficiency & sensitivity to Hotel guests needs. Hotel staff are not concerned nor do they make effort to make guests feel welcome. Except for the valet service, all staff lack people skills. For a few dollars more, it would be best to stay at the Marriott or Hilton garden inn. The front desk personnel do not have any care for their guests at all.

Overall, one of best values in Waikiki. What we enjoyed most about it is that it is on tip of the Waikiki scene but out of it also. If you are driving a car, it is easy to get in and out with the the valet service. Staff is friendly. Definitely not a resort like others as 2 blocks from beach but still real close. Starbucks, stores , and restaurants including the deck on third floor all close. Would stay again. Picture is view from room balcony.

Totally awesome!
Staff were great, location was perfect, room was wonderful.
Kim Gomez came out and gave us a warm welcome - with leis.
David Kim and all the front desk and bellmen made sure our check-in went super smoothly and that we had everything we needed as soon as we stepped out of our car. Felt like a rock star getting the royal treatment - actually we felt that way the whole time. Management and staff are really at the top of their game - better then many more expensive places I've stayed recently (and chosen not to review as a result). The staff here are full

Had a Good & Bad experience staying at this Hotel. The Hotel, and my room was clean. I enjoyed having a few drinks at the "Deck" Bar. Friendly serves.
The Bad... I probably had the worse room possible. Room was on the 3rd floor. Existing the Elevator, and look Right, and you're at the Bar, Restaurant, and Pool. Look Left, and you're staring at my room's door.
Crazy Loud all Day. The worse was around 10 pm. This is when the Bar closes, and the Drunks are hanging around in front of the elevator. Fortunately I only stayed 2 nights, and only used the room to shower

Pretty nice hotel. The lobby and building itself looked newly renovated, although the rooms could use a bit of an update. The free valet service was definitely worth it as other hotels charge at least $40 a day. Overall, it was a lovely stay and the coffee bar they have in the lobby serves delicious caffeinated drinks. The staff and service here was also very friendly and tentative.

Queen Kapiolani is located just a few blocks from the famous Waikiki Beach - a two minute walk.
What's impressive is when you first arrive -- the doorless, open air lobby, with cool vintage Polynesian art and decor.
The check in area lobby is next to a large area with plenty of seating, a cafe, and a few shops.
The rooms are comfortable, bright, clean, and spacious.
This was truly a wonderful stay.
It was a bit cool and rainy during our visit, and the swimming pool water was chilly - explaining why it was always easy to get seats at the pool.
