Overall a pleasant stay for NYE. Very quiet upon arrival and difficult to judge value but no complaints. Room was a good size and bathroom too. Check in guy was a bit miserable but check out team were nice. Leaving with a shot amid Saki at 11am! 👍🏼 the terrace bar was an awesome find too. Amazing views of ESB (first pic from my room!). And not forgetting the crazy Japanese toilet that washes everything…
Would have happily stayed for longer.

The Kitano blew us away! We booked the hotel for two key requirements - location (central to locations we intended to explore) and king bed (few hotels in NYC offer a king bed). We arrived to exceptionally pleasant and helpful Bellman and Front Desk staff and a nicely decorated lobby for the Christmas season. Check-in was a breeze, and we were informed of the Roof at 66 at that time (more on that later). Headed up to our room, where we found a spacious (by NYC standards) king bedroom. The bathroom amenities included a towel warming rack and bidet with heated seat! Service the entire stay was outstanding

I was very disappointed with this hotel. For $800 for 2 nights, they need to include complementary WiFi. There was not enough toiletries in the room, I had to ask. The housekeeping threw away a keepsake momento of mine without my permission. The room was small but clean. I am so disappointed. The security guards were also unwelcoming, rude and judgmental. I do NOT recommend this hotel at all!

I have been to the Kitano twice and it is a stellar hotel. I love that it is footsteps away from Grand Central Station and that it is a short walk from various shops at Fifth Avenue. The best part about the Kitano is the graciousness and kind nature of the employees- especially Brian and Zack. One bit of feedback is that there should be more pillows in the bed. I also love that the property is clean and safe! I look forward to returning to the Kitano in the future!

What a wonderful stay! We decided to spent the last few nights of our trip at Kitano after some awful nights at a very loud hotel.
Other guests mentioned Kitano was quiet and....they were right! Wonderful rooms, super quiet and spacious, and very friendly and caring staff.

Good value for the location. Rooms are quiet; you don't get interruptions from inside or outside.

Furniture and rooms are slightly dated, but everything felt very clean and well cared for. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were not good for me. I will definitely ask for more if I return on another trip.

The room was actually larger than I expected, and was just enough for our needs.

The staff were all kind and helpful, and accommodated us for our later train ride home.

The concierge we interacted with was rude and dismissive, like they couldn't wait to stop talking to us. Do not recommend, find another nearby hotel that appreciates your business.

Fabulous stay as always. Staff is so gracious and attentive. GENERAL MANAGER is truly a professional host. The new 66 Park rooftop bar has an gorgeous indoor bar and table service and the outdoor seating offers jawdropping views from. Eitb the east or west terraces. Worth a trip to NYC.

Outstanding staff here. Service was really great in every way— checking in, at the bar, everywhere. Rooms were quiet and comfortable and absolutely spotless. The rooftop bar should be jammed — a hidden gem in the city. I cannot recommend it more highly.

A taste of Tokyo in NYC and a stone's throw from Grand Central, this midtown jewel is a convenient place for an overnight stay. Very quiet and elegant venue, with a stunning view of the Empire State Building. SInce the restaurant is still closed, room service only.

I paid a lot of money for an Executive Suite with a balcony last night (for one night). First, she did not get the balcony as promised and just a regular room and the rest is all downhill too. Old furniture that is not clean, bathroom outdated and also not clean. Rugs in poor condition and lousy mattress. All in all a lousy place to stay in NYC. Would not recommend at all.

I'm just leaving this place at 8:00pm after trying to go to the restaurant for dinner. My 70+ year old father parked on the corner, not in front of the entrance, because he had a hard time walking long distances. It's Christmas so we assumed there was no issue about it being a loading zone plus there was a lot of additional space directly in front of the entrance. As we got out of the car the bellhop, jack, ran towards us yelling that we couldn't park there. He walked up to my father and literally shouted at him that he's seen him do this before and he would not stand for it

Really attentive staff. No frills and everything was clean. But my room for some reason smelled stuffy all the time. I turned the AC on high (so I was freezing) to get rid of the mustiness but whenever the AC stopped the stuffiness would return. Location was great, on Park Ave.

This update is for the absolutely wonderful and professional staff who worked with me to recover my handbag. Long story by per previous review- we felt so harassed by the bar tender to leave our seats immediately (the place was less than half fill on a early weeknight) after paying for our bill, that we literally ran out of the Kitano and left my handbag at the table!

When I realized this, I called and spoke to another lovely hostess the next day who was very reassuring and directed me to security. There I worked with A+ gentleman name Dilly and he help me recover my bag with all its valuable

We had a wonderful experience here. Normally this hotel would be a little out of my price range, but I was able to get a good rate on hotel tonight. The check in process was a breeze and we were given an upgrade to a king room. The location is safe and quiet, while conveniently being located only a few blocks away from Grand Central Station. The room is clean, a good size and the bath products are very nice. Our room on the 9th floor was wonderfully quiet both in the halls and street noise. We also received a late check out at noon and easily checked our bags to be held for a couple of hours. A

At first, this Murray Hill-located hotel seemed perfect. Check-in was prompt and courteous, with a doorman on hand, and the facility seemed immaculate, with goodies like heated towel racks. Regrettably, the devil is in the details, and the negative details are the plumbing. Bathtub controls were so rigid I could not use them without contacting engineering on a daily basis; a tub drain was so clogged that I was standing ankle-deep in water; and a toilet in the publicly-accessible mezzanine ladies' room was backed up with foul goo.

It is management's responsibility in any facility

This is my second stay here and I plan to return. It is a beautiful hotel located in Murray Hill. It's a bit pricey and beyond my budget by booking through Expedia makes it possible. Its an elegant Hotel with much to offer. The rooms are beautiful, roomy and very well looked after. To be honest my favorite part is the very very fancy toilet! I don't know how I lived my whole life without having a heated toilet seat!!

* add: changing this to 5 stars due the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on in a hotel room!!! Very nice building. My first time in a hotel with a mini bar! Lol. Didn't use it but decent selection I guess. Prices were a bit high for my comfort. $7 for a small bottle of figi water. Decor of room was nice. Was small but basically just used it for sleep and showers. Had ac and heat. They provided slippers a robe and a umbrella. Has heated towel warmer in bathroom. Bathroom was nicely sized with full length mirror. Had a bidet on toilet. Shower was nice and hot with 2 shower

Coming to NY to visit in bone chilling temperature it was a relief to settle in to a beautifully appointed room , spacious and well located in midtown. I came down with a terrible cold unable to go outside and the staff here could not be more caring to tend to my needs. My room came with breakfast so there was no need for me to venture out. The breakfast buffet is generous with Japanese and American style offerings. Our room on the 15 floor was quiet and this part of town is pretty quiet considering we are so close to grand central. The heated toilet seats and towel bars are a welcome feature on

We had a good time. This hotel is very well located. You can get everywhere easily from here by foot or subway. Grand Statio. Is super near as well as Time Square and various restaurants.
Lobby is a bit dark. I don't think breakfast was included but never ate there but a sushi. Wasn't good. The rooms were OK and I'm guessing you won't spend too much time in it.
It can get a little problematic when they drop or pick you up because of the parking best the door.

This hotel is located in convenient location and small but got the Japanese style.

Check in was at 3 pm and they didn't have any room available at 12 pm so we had to pay extra $50 per night to upgrade our room so we could check-in. They also don't allow you to check out a few hours late which other hotels are pretty good with.

The room was pretty small and I could smell cigarette from the hall way. (Only had smoking floor available at the time).

Right after we checked in and walked into our room to unpack, one of the desk person was trying to open the door to see if anyone was staying

I love this hotel. The room was huge. Not very many people heard of it and when I asked why upon checkout, I was told they are boutique and really cater to Japanese travelers. All of the employees are fluent in Japanese. I am not Japanese but will gladly stay here again. Upscale amenities include towel warmers, fancy toilets, and removable shower head. Why not 5 stars? They charge for wifi (I really think if I'm staying there, it should be included), the bar area is very tiny, and there is no store in or close by for water and essentials. But the room was very impressive!
