In 1910 a young man, 22 years old, upon feeling the need for a funeral service establishment of high caliber, founded the Robert C. Scott Funeral Home, the outgrowth of a partnership which was operated as Lewis and Scott, Undertakers at 2210 East Main Street, Richmond, Virginia, in the city's "Bird-in-Hand" community, in the valley below Church Hill.
A funeral or memorial is a customary way to recognize death and its finality. Funerals are held for the living to show respect for the dead and to help survivors begin the grief process. They also give mourners a chance to share stories, create memories, fulfill religious beliefs & customs, participate in a support system, and gather at a peaceful place during a time of confusion and uncertainty.
Holding a funeral or memorial service for your loved one is a positive first step in the grieving process. Family members and friends get a chance to say their goodbyes, and at the same time, they get to share strong feelings with one another. I am very sad about the loss of my college buddy. As normal, I submitted a text and it took me 30 minutes. Needless to say this was VERY frustating!
I am very good at this type if thing. When I phoned the home to register my complaint and constructive criticism, I spoke with Ms. Bertha who was very defensive and told me over and over that her experience when doing this was good and Noone ever said such. Well, most people do NOT take the time to register challenged especially at sad times!
Instead, of being defensive and insulted, please take the time to INVEST in goodand competitive

Mrs. Bertha Fleming, Funeral Director, and the entire Scott's staff provided the highest level of professionalism to me and my family during the passing of my mother. This was the most difficult time for us and Bertha accommodated my every request and went the extra mile. The facility was spotless and the grounds were in EXCELLENT condition which spoke volumes to me about how much pride they took in their services. I highly recommend Scott's.

Called today to get a note notarized I called before I came to the funeral home , spoke with a gentleman who was nice and polite who informed me they were able to do a notarized form for me . From there I came to the funeral home and no one greeted me as I came in. I sat down & waited for someone to ask did I need help but no one acknowledged me , so from there I called again while I was sitting there and a woman answered the phone I informed her I was sitting in the lobby waiting for help because another employee told me that I can come and get my paper notarized , she started to yell and say
