Fulfilling a childhood dream, Joseph Jenkins Jr. helped thousands of famillies with the funeral and burial arrangements for their loved ones for more than forty five years. As a young child, he lived near the Holland Brothers Vault Works and became friends with J. Montague Holland, one of the owners.

Staff members of Joseph Jenkins Jr Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Mrs. Maxine T. Jenkins is the wife of our founder, the late Joseph Jenkins, Jr.
Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home has served families in the central Virginia area for years. Located in the Historic West End of Richmond, our chapel comfortably seats approximately 250 people. A scenic and serene fountain exists in the rotunda. It also contains large video monitors. We have seven viewing rooms with a variety of sizes and styles.
The Jenkins Reception Center is the perfect setting for your special occasion. This facility conveniently located near the Byrd Park area of Richmond, is the ideal site for your birthday party, anniversary celebration, retirement party, baby shower, rehearsal dinner, civic event, family reunion or business meeting.
